Today I discovered this song and I was
surprised to find out what it’s about. “Chlorine” by Trophy Eyes, an Australian
hardcore (melodic hardcore) band. The lyrics talk about two stories. One, the
lead singer’s near death experience, in a swimming pool, and him being saved by
a kid he knew in passing, and the other one’s about the suicide of that kid
years later. These 2 stories get into the idea that the savior never once
considered the importance of his actions in that swimming pool. Heavy I know,
but a good song nevertheless.
Because of the heaviness of the song, I’m
thinking we should drink something calming, something like a Serenita tea. It’s
pretty easy to make, all you need is green tea, caramel bits, lavender and chamomile.
That is it. But the result is going to be better than you might think. Enjoy!
