A Hint Of The Sea

Hey you!

It’s been raining here since yesterday  and because of that I think that a tea with chamomile might be the perfect beverage to drink. This one is one of my own blends as well and it’s a combination of: chamomile, ginkgo biloba, stevia, nettle leaves, rose petals, sunflower petals and lemongrass. This will stimulate your memory and brain activity, reduces stress and anxieties, and strengthens your immune system. And the name I gave this blend is Brainiac.

Now when it comes to the song, I’m choice is going to be “A Hint Of The Sea” by Glories, an American post-rock, ambient, atmospheric band. This is an outstanding song, clear, full of sounds that create a wonderful memory. I especially like that the beginning of the song slowly starts to build up in a way that doesn’t feel rushed and it gives you time to assimilate all the good things about it. It’s the perfect combination for rainy weather.

I Wanna Get Better

Hey you!

Sometimes the world doesn’t work like we want to and we get wrapped up in difficult situations and we starting feeling lonely and overwhelmed.  And when that happens we might get depressed but let’s not stay in that state and do something about it, cause we all fell like that sometimes. For me the next song does it. It’s a therapy song from the indie pop band Bleachers called “I Wanna Get Better”. It’s a fun and catchy with a hook that you’ll find yourself singing to it. Plus this song helped me realize something “I didn't know I was broken/ 'Till I wanted to change”, (and change I did :D). Maybe it will do the same for you.

Now comes the tea. This is a blend that its design to increase your energy, lower your stress and it will help you concentrate.  It’s a mix of:  black tea, yerba mate, cacao nibs, chicory root, lemon balm, rose petals, orange. And it’s called Focus tea. Give it a try, it might help.

First Light

Hey guys!

Today let’s try something new. How about a yellow tea!?! It’s a rare and unique variety of tea produced similarly to green tea, but with an added step of steaming the leaves to give it the yellow color. It’s also lighter on the stomach then the green tea. And it has lots of benefits, like: helps weight loss, prevents diabetes, boosts the brain function, lowers cholesterol levels, is good for you liver, bones and teeth and it’s also good during pregnancy. Give it a try, you might like it and your body will definitely appreciate this new thing.

As for the song my choice is going to be “First Light” by Racing Glaciers. A UK based indie, alternative, folk band with post-rock roots that makes everything better. It’s a good track that has a lot to offer with trumpets playing a supporting role to the guitars, piano, drums and the vocals. The lyrics that gives us the feeling of ignorance over accepting the reality of what is really happening with lines like “I keep biting your tongue/ Just to carry it on”. It’s a calming and soothing melody that combines perfectly with this new tea.

All We Ever Know

Hello!

Here comes another day that seems to be a good one. And because of that, I’m going to show you guys a song that makes me feel good because of its rhythm. “All We Ever Know” by The Head and the Heart, an alternative indie band from Seattle. The melody has a very heavy harmony and an upbeat style that are paired with some beautiful lyrics: “I know sometimes you get so caught in a dream/ But now it's time to wake up from this”. It’s a song that has an optimistic message like it’s time to smell the roses or like stop dreaming and turn your dreams into reality (at least that’s what I get hihi)

Because this song is for one of those good days, I’m going to choose a tea that will make this an easy task for any day- Easy Day tea. That’s a blend of blackberry leaf, linden leaf and flower, peppermint, lemon balm, and marshmallow leaf. It has a smooth, slightly minty taste. This tea has a calming effect on your body, with just enough of a fruity taste, to make you want more. Plus, if you have to study, this tea will help you concentrate.

No Money

Hey, guys!

Today I have another dance song for you, something to make you move and help you get thru the day. “No Money” by Galantis, a Swedish dance-pop super-duo. The catchy and happy lyrics that talk about standing up to a bully who tried to take your money are sung by a young 12 year old, Reece, and that makes the song even better. It’s an infections track, full of bass lines, steel drums and a piano melody that brings them all together in a very simple way.

Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate Tea is definitely going to get you thru the day :) It’s a blend of apple pieces, hibiscus, rose hip peels, green maté, raspberries, lemongrass, apple, rosebuds & citric acid. This tea has a lot of health benefits because of all of its ingredients. It’s good for your heart, immune system, skin health, blood circulation, brain power and, of course, it has anti-aging properties, so enjoy it!

Howl’s Moving Castle

Hey, guys!

It’s exam season and I’m gonna try helping you out a bit. Here is a tea that is perfect for calming you down, boosting your brain power and helping your memory & concentration. And, of course, it’s good for your eye sight and in the face of an exam, you really need your good vision. I’m talking about Ginkgo Biloba. An interesting fact about ginkgo biloba is that it is considered to be the oldest living tree on Earth. In fact, studies have showed that this tree existed two hundred million years ago, and it originally came from China.

Now the perfect song for studying. Every time I needed to do it, this melody is always my first choice. It’s the theme song for the anime movie “Howl’s Moving Castel” (my favorite movie btw) and it’s written by Joe Hisaishi, a Japanese composer and musical director known for more than 100 movie scores. His music style has been known to explore and incorporate different genres, including minimalist, experimental electronic, European classical, and Japanese classical. It’s just perfect, hope you enjoy it.

Let’s Go

Guys, have you heard about Stuck in the Sound, the French, indie rock band? They have a song that I enjoy very much, that’s called „Let’s Go”. It has an infectious riff and it’s obviously a good track. The lyrics and the video seem to be talking about chasing your dreams but not letting them consume you. “In the sun I bathe, in everyday light/You draft me down for a split second tomorrow/What am I supposed to do?” You just have to pick yourself up and then just go.

The tea should be something that you would like to enjoy every day, something like Sundew – a blend of green tea, mango, apricot with sunflower & red rose blossoms and cornflowers. This tea gives you everything you would ever need: good taste, health benefits and energy to get thru the day. Also, it makes for a lovely iced tea.

Lone Digger

Hey, guys!

Today I am in a very good mood (as always I guess). My morning started perfectly and I want to keep having this feeling all day long. So I started looking up for some new music, the kind I don’t listento everyday, but that might change because I found this: „Lone Digger” by Caravan Palace, an electro swing band from France. This track had me hooked from its first beats and Zoe’s sweet but quiet, seductive voice and performance definitely had me wanting more because <Your head has no right to say no/Tonight it's "ready, set, go" >. And if you wanna dance, this song can make that happen, sooo enjoy it.

Since this song will make you want to move, how about a tea that will do the same? A tea that will give you clean energy –guayusa tea with chocolate –, doesn’t that sound just perfect? This tea will boost your energy levels and is much healthier than your usual cafe latte. Also, its taste is delightful (Chocolate! wink, wink), so maybe you should give it a try.

Rosie

I was in a funny mood today and this song pulled me out of it: „Rosie” by The Kooks. It’s a catchy tune, it has an excellent rhythm and quite a Beatles vibe. It’s an emotional song with a satisfying beat, plus the name does a lot more for me other than just making me feel good. The lyrics are perfect: „Lust will do funny things / I don't want you to go out looking so good” (somebody’s getting jealous) „But you're a big girl and I think you already know / You've been bought and sold”. I definitely like this song.

I don’t think I know a tea that goes with this kind of lust. I'm kidding :P Let’s see…how about Chai Indienne? It’s a mix of black tea, cinnamon, ginger bits, cloves, cardamom, black pepper, rose petals, vanilla bits (if you like vanilla) & safflowers. It's an energizing tea, with a little bit of spice to put you in the mood to try the motion of the ocean. Plus,it has other health benefits like: improves your immune system, boosts your brain activity, helps your skin health & it’s a good way to fight bacteria.

HandClap

Today I wanted another kind of tea to wake me up in the morning besides the black tea, something that would taste like happiness and I think I found it. It’s called Happy Jumble, a blend of currant fruits, mint, rose-hip, carrot flakes, lemon balm, sage, mallow, sunflower petals, mate& claw immortelles. This tea will give you energy, help you with your skin health and heart, will boost your brain power and will reduce anxiety. It’s been a great idea for this morning (and for any other morning for that matter).

I’m going to pair this tea with a melody that will make you happily want to move, something in the line of „HandClap”by Fitz And The Tantrums (an indie, funk, pop group from L.A.) This song made me actually clap my hands and put me in a very good mood. It’s a track about love and desire that you can find sang in lyrics like „You're like a drug to me, a luxury, my sugar and gold”.Isn’t that a very nice way to tell someone that you want them, need them, crave them? It’s even nicer if you’re the one they want, need or crave, amIright? Iu-hu! Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Wide Open

Hey!
Today, after a stroll in the park and a lot of laughter with some friends, I was showed this song exactly as I got home, and it was the perfect end to a beautiful day– a little melancholic and nostalgic, but in a good way. „Wide Open” by The Chemical Brothers featuring Beck is a heartbreaking track, full of echoing lyrics that describe how someone has been slipping away in a brighter and lovesick way, not all sad, but definitely not all happy. „It's getting away from me” it’s going to get stuck in your head, not just because it’s repeated all throughout the song, but because sometimes it’s soooo true.

And because we’re talking how to „wide open”, how about some Wings of a Dove?(A tea, of course) It’s a blend of green & white tea, pomegranate, blueberry & goji berries. This tea will calm you down and help you with any kind of mood by nicely relaxing you. Plus, it has a lot of other benefits: for your blood pressure, your heart and skin health and your brain activity.

We Don’t Have To Dance

Good day, guys! How’s it going for you today? I’m pretty great, a little bit obsessed with the next song so I’ll start right away.

„We Don’t Have To Dance” that is what it is called and it’s by Andy Black (the lead singer of Black Veil Brides). When you listen to this song you are going to be amazed at the talent of this rock-star.  It’s a powerful track and Andy’s voice is exactly what this song needs. It’s even been labeled as the best thing that happened to the music industry this year so far.

Since this song is so powerful I’m going to choose another kind of tea, one with a little rum flavor in it :D. It’s called „Mojito”. It’s a mix of rooibos, lime, mint and, of course, rum flavor. Rooibos doesn't contain caffeine, but will boost your energy just like lime and mint will help your memory (for you to remember this song and its lyrics, of course :P )

Cure

Hello, everyone! How has your day been so far? Mine’s pretty great. I’ve been singing the same song for the past 2 or 3 days, I love it and I want to share it with you.

This tune is called „Cure” and it’s by Barcelona. It starts very slow, but then it gets faster and that means better(at least for me). It really doesn't have a complicated sound, but the lyrics are quite moving(„Take away all my sin”) and, of course, a little kinky when it goes like this: „Put your hands on my chest, I’ll make you feel like you’ve been blessed”. I am right? Altogether,it’s a song that I just adore.

Now let’s see the tea... I’m thinking of a green tea in combination with some fruits. And because this song deserves something a bit sweet, something like blueberries – Enchanted Berry – sounds good enough. It’s a mix of green tea (that will give you some energy), raspberries (they boost your immune system and are rich in vitamin A)and of course blueberries (which improve your memory, are low in fat and rich in magnesium and vitamin C). Per-fect! Plus, all of them combined have a great taste that will bless you for the entire day. It’s the “Cure” that you need every day.

The Only Moment When Were Alone

I’m pretty sure that some of you guys are in high school or in collage, so this song and tea are specially made for those times when you need to study.

The song is called „The Only Moment When Were Alone” by Explosions in the Sky, a post-rock band from Texas. It’s an ambient track that is simply powerful and makes you think and it used to help me a lot when I was studying. It can calm you down and relax you, perfect for this kind of situation, don’t you think?

As for the tea, I choose one that opens your mind: rhodiola rosea. This herb is known for improving your memory, focus and concentration and also for combating symptoms of depression. Drinking this tea while you study will definitely help you, but in combination with the song, you will get it all done faster than you think.

Kisses and go drink your tea (and study!), I’m already drinking mine.
