Sweet Lies

Hey guys!

Today I was feeling pretty energetic and I thought that some drum & bass might do me good. And because of that I started listening to Wilkinson’s track “Sweet Lies” featuring Karen Harding. The vocals are clear and powerful, Karen’s range is incredible and you can get lost in it. The beats are a bit predictable but it’s still a good song to enjoy and dance to. My favorite lyrics are: “ Fearless/ Though we live in secret/ I only live for your touch/ Enough love for the both of us live for your touch” .

Now for the tea, my choice is going to be something that has red tea in it. Something like Tulsi Rooibos Chai, this will give you energy and no jitters form the caffeine cause it has none. It’s a wonderful blend of rooibos, tulsi, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. It’s aromatic, spice and it creates a full body beverage with a high mineral and antioxidants properties. Now…

Don't You Feel It

Hey guys!

Right now I’m in the mood for something fruity and I think that the Elephant Blend tea might do the trick. This is a perfect combination of: rooibos tea, banana flakes, coconut, mango pieces, pineapple flakes, papaya and orange slices. It’s an exotic combination, creamy and sweet that will help you brighten you day.

As for the song, I’m choosing the drum and bass powerhouse Sub Focus new pop, club base track “Don’t You Feel It” featuring ALMA.  This is quite the infectious tune, it has a lot of hooks and it somehow showcases Sub Focus ability to conquer any kind of genre. Plus ALMA’s voice is just the right amount of soft and powerful and it brings this song to a full circle. That’s about it for today…

Periscope

Today we are diving right in and we are starting with the song. I’m listening to “Periscope” by Papa Roach featuring Skylar Grey and I have to say till yesterday I didn’t like this track but something change and now I’m really enjoying it. This song seems to be about an unrequited love, either within a relationship or out of one. It’s a more melodic tune, somehow moody and not that heavily based beat that use to fill us in their previous work. Plus after a few listens you will start to feel that infectious sound that fills the atmosphere.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something that will give you a little energy and frees your spirit. It’s called Samurai Chai Maté and it’s a blend composed of: green maté, rooibos, cinnamon, pineapple & papaya pieces, orange peels, lemongrass, aniseed, coriander and cardamom. This is a sweet and spicy infusion that embodies the way of the warrior, a combination to help you face every new day samurai-style :D.

I'm A Wolf

Hey you!

Today we are going to listen to a song from a Belgium artist Konoba. It’s an alternative pop, electronic track featuring Ellie Ford called “I’m A Wolf”. It feels like a melancholic tune that just makes you feel all kinds of emotions and you just can’t move on … like for me it’s been on repeat for a few hours now :D. Plus it has some clever lyrics. “I’m a wolf, you're the moon/ Can you hear me sing to you” this one is my favorite.

And now for the tea, I’m choosing one mostly because of its name. It’s called Violette in Love and it’s a sweet and full of flavor beverage with lots of benefits and one that you can enjoy at any hours of the day. The blend is a combination of these ingredients: rooibos, candied violet, raspberry pieces, poppy petals.

Saturnz Barz

Hey guys!

It’s that time again; you have to help me wish a good friend of mine Happy Birthday. It’s like always, the choice in music and tea comes from the one that is celebrating the birthday. I’ve known the birthday boy for a few years now (not many but just enough to consider him a good friend) and I’ve got to say there aren’t so many people that make me feel comfortable and relaxed like I do in his company. It’s good to have a pal that you can joke around and still have a serious conversation and you my friend are one of them.

And now, the song …to tell you the truth usually when it comes to music we are pretty different, but his choice is actually a track that I like and it's one I've written about before, so this is going to be easy. In this marvelous day we are going to listen to “Saturnz Barz” by Gorillaz featuring Popcaan. This is an infectious track that seems to infuse some trap style base with a reggae influences and of course Gorillaz old sound. The melody gives me a feeling of being trapped in a bizarre and psychological “experiment” and maybe that’s what makes this experience of a song so great. Plus the minute Damon starts singing really keeps me hooked in.

For the tea it’s going to be a rooibos tea cause that’s his favorite, with some alcohol (vodka of course). And we came up with the perfect blend and name so it could be something he really would enjoy. The name of our tea is Spice Spirit and it’s a combination of: rooibos, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, fennel ... and our much beloved vodka. Plus if you cool it down and add some cranberry juice, a little more vodka and garnish it with some thin slices of lemon, you can turn into a great cocktail.

Mind

Hey guys!

This weekend I went to a party and someone put this song in the mix and it’s been stuck in my head ever since. I’ve listen to this track before but now I got to say I love it. I’m talking about Skrillex & Diplo tune “Mind” featuring Kai. First time I listen this song I was surprised that Skrillex singed but after that I did some research and find out that he used to be the lead singer in the post-hardcore, screamo band From First To Last. There is no comparison between what he was doing than and what he’s doing now but it’s an interesting fact to know.  

As for the song I think a black tea would be a perfect pairing for this track, mainly because I really need to wake up. So my choice is My Lady, a blend of: black tea, pineapple chunks, raisins, rose petals and cornflowers. This tea has a nice aroma, will give you energy and it will leave you wanting more.

Until the Morning

I was shuffling thru my playlists when this song popped and I fell in love with it again. I’m talking about “Until The Morning” by Thievery Corporation featuring Emilíana Torrini. It’s a chill out, trip-hop track that gives me warmth whenever I listen to it. Emilíana’s voice can take you places; you just have to close your eyes and just enjoy the ride. “The sun will warm your soul” stays with me even after the song has ended.

Now for the tea I’m choosing something in the same line of warmth and smooth as the melody. It’s going to be a fruity tea, actually a tisane that will be perfect for anyone how wants to try it. It’s a blend of: cranberry, raspberry, sugar crystals, linden flowers and orange sea buckthorn and it’s called Tastes Like Snow.  It has a refreshing taste of orange, cranberry and sea buckthorn and since it doesn’t contain caffeine you can drink it at any hour.

Someday

Hey guys!

I’m in a good mood again and I found the perfect song to keep me in it. It’s a ukulele base track; it’s very lovely and cheerful. It’s called “Someday” and it’s by Michael Buble and Megan Trainor and apparently it’s written by Harry Styles. Michael’s and Megan’s voices make the perfect combination to tell us the song’s story about a boy and a girl who always liked each other but for some reasons they haven’t ended up together. But they don’t lose the hope of “Someday” when they’ll be together. “I’m forever only yours” is definitely what I’m going to sing all day :D

For the tea I’m choosing a black tea with chocolate cherries. It will taste absolutely divine and it’s going to make for the perfect beverage to drink today. Plus it’s called Cordially Yours; even the name is faultless and combines effortlessly with this beautiful track.

Hello!

Today seems like a great day, even if it’s kinda cold outside, and that means we should drink a tea so we can warm up inside. I’m thinking something like a black tea so you can have the courage to confront the weather. How those Orange Oolong tea sounds? It’s a blend of: black oolong tea, orange bits, juice and also orange blossoms. Plus I’ve been craving oranges for the last couple of weeks so this for me is the perfect choice.

Since is such a great day (for me at least) in the morning I found this song and I seemed to like it from the first listen. It’s called “By Your Side” and it’s by Jonas Blue featuring Raye. It’s electro-pop track with catchy and enjoyable feel to it. Raye’s vocals match Jonas’s bets and they give us a song with a lot of potential. Plus it has a few cute lyrics that for me make perfect sense when I’m thinking about a certain person, like: “Scattered hearts, broken glass/I don't feel a thing (do, do)/'Cause I'm frozen in time/When you're next to me (do, do)”

On & On

Today I’m in a mood for some red tea, that means rooibos, cause I haven’t drink it in a while. And I’m choice is going to be the Rooibos Festival of Senses tea. It’s a blend of: rooibos (of course :D ), coconaut flakes, honeybush, peppermint, ginger and since today I have a sweet tooth I also added some chocolate bits.

Now the song… I’m thinking that the perfect combination for the tea is “On & On” by Cartoon featuring Daniel Levi. I’ve got to say this song has been on repeat since I found it this morning. It just has something about it that makes it great, maybe Daniel’s voice or the beats of Cartoon, I don’t know yet but I love and I wanted to share it with you.

“Look into my eyes and show me of/ Adventures I haven’t seen”. These are the first lyrics of “Adventures” by William Ekh featuring Alexa Lusade, a techno, dance song with a great beat that should make you feel pretty good about yourself, and maybe make you feel like wanting to pack your things and go.

& let’s drink some oolong today! & even better, a Chocolate Decadence Oolong tea. That’s a blend of: oolong tea, coconut chips, roasted maté, carob pieces, licorice root and rose petals. It tastes like dark chocolate with a sugary coconut flavor. What more could you want?

In The Name Of Love

Hey, you!

Let’s start this day with a happy tune and a good vibe! So I’m introducing you “In The Name Of Love” by Martin Garrix featuring Bebe Rexha. It’s a the perfect combination between Bebe’s increasing soprano and Martin electronic dance beats, with some beautiful lyrics that make you think of “what would you do in the name of love” for the one you love (I would do pretty much anything). But the lyrics I most agree with are: “Would you rise up, come and meet me in the sky?/ Would you trust me when you're jumping from the heights?/ Would you fall in the name of love?”, mostly because I am afraid of heights, but I’m pretty sure I would fall :D

I’ve accumulated enough information to make my own perfect blends of flavors, and today I’ve combined my love of black tea, cherries and aniseed with, hopefully, someone else’s love of almonds :D in my Almond Cherry tea. It’s the perfect afternoon tea, with some biscuits on the side and some good company.

Today we’ll go old school and listen to Ella Fitzgerald’s and Louis Armstrong’s “Cheek To Cheek”. It’s one of my favorite songs because of its warm feeling and because it has some lovely lyrics that can make anyone feel better. That piano that plays all thru the song and their voices that smoothly intertwine make me imagine a beautiful night out with a certain someone, anyone else with me?

Right now I’m drinking an iced tea, a green mate with lavender, peppermint and raspberries (I found a new love in raspberries :P ). This will boost your energy levels and, somehow, will relax you or more like relieve stress and that is what we all need, right?

Paradise Circus

Let’s try some trip-hop again! I’m going to choose one of my all times favorites – “Paradise Circus” by Massive Attack featuring Hope Sandoval. This song has very sexual undertones; by having the word "paradise" in the title should make that a bit clearer. Hope Sandoval singing, or more like whispering, those lyrics captivates you immediately into another world. This is definitely a song that you can try the motion of the ocean on… I know I do :P

And if you are feeling reckless, try the Zeds Dead remix, trust me.

Now the tea. Since this song is so inviting, I’m thinking the tea should do the same, so let’s try the HotseeTotsee. That’s blend of black tea, chocolate, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, marshmallows, sparkling sugar & peppercorns. This will put you in the mood and give you the energy you need for it.

I’ve been a fan of Troye Sivan ever since he started on YouTube, but his new song keeps playing on repeat in my head. I’m talking about “Wild”, the new version where the tempo is slightly speeded up and he is accompanied by Alessia Cara. Their voices seem to melt together. And by the way, she wrote her own lyrics that fit the theme of the song perfectly. That makes this song even better in my book.

Since this track has a faster peace, I think the tea should also give you a boost, and for that the Minty Mate is the perfect choice. That’s a blend of green mate, lemongrass and, of course, peppermint. This will help with your blood pressure, skin health, stress, immune system and it’s an aid in weight loss. Enjoy it!

So today I’m in the mood for chocolate again, I wonder way… and I’m thinking of something that has just a little pinch of that in it. So ladies and gentlemen, I give you Chili Truffle tea, a mix of black tea, chocolate with cacao bits, chili flakes & bits. Trust me, it’s amazing. Plus, it will give you the energy you need to get thru the day, no matter what that may bring you.

Now the song. How about “Tears” by Clean Bandit featuring Louisa Johnson? This track is full of emotions and it’s the perfect break-up anthem, if you need one. The vocals are powerful and just wow (no wonder she won the X-Factor) and the instrumental is just as amazing. The violin, the cello and the piano, in combination with that electro beat: perfect!!! “This tears will get me through /And I’ll get over you” An awesome song, indeed. No wonder it makes me think of chocolate.

Glitterball

Hey, guys!

A few days ago I was walking around the mall with someone very dear to me when this song started playing and it made me feel pretty good and somehow special. I’m talking about “Glitterball” by Sigma featuring Ella Henderson, a drum and bass track with some amazing vocals. This song has a really good groove and a summer vibe attach to it. Plus some lovely lyrics, this ones are my favorite: “I cannot go, ‘cause my head’s a mess/ But you’re beautiful, in the way you dress” … cute right?

Since today is one of those extremely hot summer days, I’m going to choose an ice tea to go along with the song. Something like a rhubarb ice tea, not just because of its wonderful taste, but also for its color. I feel like pink is perfect for this song.  Rhubarb has a lot of benefits, stimulates bone growth, prevents cardiovascular diseases, it’s an aid in weight loss and it’s perfect for digestion.

How about I help you out with the perfect recipe for this tea?All you need is:

8 stalks of rhubarb cut into 8 cm lengths

8 cups of water

1/3 cup of sugar(if you like it sweet)

Fresh mint (for garnish)

In a pan, combine the rhubarb and the water, bring it to a boil and let it simmer for about 1 hour. Strain the liquid, add sugar, stirring to dissolve, and allow it to cool. Serve it over ice, with mint if you like it.

"Let me see the dark sides as well as the bright/ I'm gonna love you inside out" it’s just an amazing way to tell someone how much you love them.That’s exactly what is happening in “Inside Out” by The Chainsmokers featuring Charlee. This song has a lovely message and Charlee’s voice is raw and breathtaking and it somehow consumes you into the song which makes everything even better. Also I think the beats of the song just fit perfectly. It’s an emotional track that speaks about love, unconditional love to be précised, and it’s pure and extremely sweet.

Since summer is finally here and this is a love song, I‘m choosing Summer Love tea,a mix of rooibos, apple pieces, rose-hip, strawberry pieces. This tea will give you energy, has a fruity taste and its red coloring brings everything perfectly together. Plus, this tea is good of your skin and we need good skin to show off in the summer, AmIright?:P

Hey, guys!
Let’s talk today about another Jonas (from the Jonas Brothers). Nick Jonas and Tove Lo have a new track called „Close”. This song has a stunning melody because the voices of the two artists blend perfectly and sound amazing together. It's a track that has a hint of R&B, but it’s a quite powerful pop melody that starts slow, with some beat drops that build up so that, by the time the chorus comes, you feel hooked and a little bit provoked ;) The lyrics are pretty cute and exciting, especially “space is just a word made up by someone who’s afraid to get close”. Truly brilliant! This song gives me the right kind of feeling, especially when I think about a certain someone.

For the tea, I’m choosing Muira Puama because this song for me is quite stimulating and inspiring. Muira Puama grows in the Brazilian rainforest and is an aphrodisiac that has been used as such for centuries. It helps reducing anxiety, boosts your physical abilities, gives you energy & improves your desire and sexual satisfaction (perfect for when you wanna try the motion of the ocean). So, go ahead, enjoy them both!
