The Best Has Yet To Come

Hey guys!

Today is a special day; it’s the birthday of one of my best of friends, someone who’s been with me thru the good and the bad. And because of that I need you to help me wish her a happy and perfect birthday; full of great memories, with flawless moments and good times, cause she deserves it. Our friendship isn’t an very old one but it’s one that I hold dear to my heart, full of amazing memories, great stories and lots of laughter and that is why you birthday is important to me.

Now… like always when it’s someone’s birthday they choose the song and tea they like in this moments. She wanted something that has apple and cinnamon as their main ingredients and keeping that in mind I searched the tea database and found the Cinnamon Apple Spice. A bend made from: cinnamon, apple, hibiscus, chamomile, roasted chicory, orange peel and roasted carob. This is a sweet and full of flavors tea, with a strong smell and taste of apple and cinnamon now to overpowering so the rest of the ingredients get to shine a little. You can consume it at any time of day, it doesn’t contain caffeine and it even has chamomile so if you dink it before bed you might fall asleep like a baby.

As for the tune of the day, her choice is “The Best Has Yet To Come” from Scorpions. This is a powerful ballad, it’s catchy and passionate, a blend of classical form with hard rock dynamics, guitar and vocal that doesn’t give in to modern clichés but a renewed version of themselves.  Klaus Meine's recognizable vocal are a familiar sound, not to nostalgic but a pleasure to listen to. I’ve got to say some of the lyrics from the chorus fit prefect with our friendship and somehow this song has more meaning to me to. “Through the highs and lows/ And how can I live without you/ You're such a part of me/ And you've always been the one/ Keeping me forever young/ And the best is yet to come”.

Dancing In the Daylight

Hello!

Today we are listening to a feel good track coming from the indie band Scouting For Girls. The song is called “Dancing In the Daylight”, is characteristic of the band’s usual sound, full with catchy, repetitive lyrics. It’s not particularly memorable or something that stands out so much but it’s a nice addition whenever it pops on your playlist. It’s an upbeat and feel-good track, perfect for hopeful and sunny days.

And for the tea, I’m going to choose Ruby Spice Cider from Teavana.  It’s a combination of: cinnamon, apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, carob pieces, rooibos, ginger, grapes, chicory root, plum pieces, elderberries, orange peels and pomegranate. It’s a great blend, one that celebrates the seasons with festive colors and an awesome taste. That’s it for today, now…

Hot Damn

Hey guys!

Today’s track is something that I’ve known for some time but only recently started to like it. I’m talking about “Hot Damn” by Ivy Levan. It’s a pop, seductive, old soul song with a great beat and a vintage sound. The vocals are amazing, her range incredible and there is a lot of swagger in her voice. It’s edgy and mature at the same time, which is difficult to achieve; it’s great to listen to and you should give it a try.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something from Teavana. Something like Pumpkin Spice Brûlée Oolong Tea which is a combination of: cinnamon, white chocolate pieces, pumpkin pieces, chocolate, carob pieces, oolong tea, ginger, chicory root, pumpkin seeds, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, coconut blossom sugar. It’s sweet, has a pumpkin aroma that fits right in with the season, full of spices and it will replenish your stamina. That’s it for today.

Cavalry

‘ello!

How are you guys doing today? I’m pretty good, woke up in a good mood, with the sun on my face and with a feeling that today is going to be great. And because of that today’s choice is “Cavalry” by Novo Amor & Ed Tulett; I’ve enjoyed this song from the first time I’ve listen to it. It’s soft and easy to listen, it’s not exactly sad but it can certainly make you feel a lot of emotions going thru all the changes in the song. It’s a mesmerizing track and I highly encourage you to give it a listen and letting it take you on its journeys.

As for the tea I think a green tea, which will give you a little energy, help you focuses might be the perfect combination for this amazing track. I’m thinking Tropical Green, a blend made from: green tea, chamomile, carob, calendula flower and safflower. It’s refreshing, and it has a taste to die for, fruity and flowery. I highly recommend it with some ice too, and maybe some lemon slices.

Glorious

Hey guys!

So, I’m still in a good mood and I’m rejoicing I it. And because of that today’s song is going to be “Glorious” by Macklemore but without Ryan Lewis and he is featuring Skylar Grey. This track has that certain something that just keeps your mood elevated and it gives you that feeling that you can do a lot of things, at least for me. It’s a positive gospel like tune empowering without sounding to cheesy just a pure feel good sound.

And now for the tea, my choice is going to be the Heavenly Hazelnut. This is a marvelous blend of: honeybush, carob beans, chicory root, agrimony herb and hazelnuts. It contains no caffeine, so that you can enjoy it at any time of day, and it has the perfect taste of nuts with a highly beneficial and delightful aroma that is just sooo delicious that you will want seconds.

Never My Love

Right now I’m listening to a cover of classic love song. I’m talking by “Never My Love” a hit from the ‘60 from the band The Association, which is a sweet love song that pledges infinite commitment and it even makes you believe that such a thing exists. The cover is done be the indie, pop-rock band Knox Hamilton and it’s a fresh, cute and no too sugary :D.   

As for the tea, I’m going to choose just for us a blend made with: rooibos, chamomile, carob, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and orange peel. It’s called the Classic Chai and it has one of the most perfect combinations of ingredients. It’s a relaxing and full of flavor beverage that you can enjoy at any given hour.

Death Of Love

Today I’m opting for a straight forward love song. It’s called “Death Of Love” and it’s by the English singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor.  It’s an elegant, charming track that creates an endearing picture that talk about love. Like always her voice is perfectly balance by the electronic and acoustics sound and she delivers a heartwarming track full of meaningfully lyrics. My favorite has to be “But in my mind we're king and queen/ You make the best of everything”, it really speaks to me.

Now for the tea, I’m choosing something as loving as the song. It’s called Té Amoré and it’s a simple blend made of: lemongrass, ashwagandha root, coconut flakes, carob bean, rose petals, oat-straw and passionflower. It has a sweet, lemony and chocolaty taste to is that will help with your immune system, digestion, anxiety and it can even boost your energy.

Miss You

Hey you!

“Oh God, I miss you too/ It's all I ever do/ I'm coming back to you/ And I won't let go”, this is the chorus of the song “Miss You” by Gabrielle Aplin, an indie artist from the UK. I know this song it’s about missing your ex, or something like that but I think some of the lyrics fit as well for all the times when you are apart from someone that you care about. Plus it’s a very catchy track that makes you wanna sing to it whenever it plays.

As for the tea, I’m in love with anything that is red, so the Heavenly Hazelnut tea is going to be my choice. This is a mix of rooibos, honeybush, carob bean, chicory root, agrimony herb infused with hazelnuts. It’s delightful and very beneficial blend that will leave you wanting more. And for the some of you that like vanilla, try adding it to this tea and you will have a rich and nutty infusion in your hands.

Modern Act

Hey guys!

Today I woke up in a great mood. It’s snowing outside and my mom is coming to visit; what more can I ask for? And because of that I’m drinking a black tea so my disposition stays where it is and I have the energy to enjoy this great day. I read about this blend a few days ago and this morning I decided to give it a try. It’s called Orange You Glad I said Chocolate (cute name right!?!), this is a mix of: black tea, rooibos, orange peel, cacao nibs (I put some dark chocolate instead), carob beans and rose-hip. It’s a very flagrant tea with rich tones of orange and chocolate.

Sooo… I discovered this song in the morning, trying to find new to enjoy, and that I did. I’m talking about “Modern Act” by Cloud Nothings, an indie rock band from Cleveland. It has some high energy vibe to it that just makes you wanna do something, especially when the hook comes in. “I want a life, that's all I need lately/ I am alive but all alone” that's what will stick with you after just one listen. Enjoy!

Because Of You

Hey you!

The last few days have been unexpectedly great and I think you should know that. Just sharing things with people that are important to me and chilling in the house, cooking, listening to music and drinking tea. It’s exactly what I want. The best part about this is it’s of course the last 2 and because of that I’ll start with the song today. I’m listening to “Because Of You” by Lana Del Rey. Everyone has heard of her so it’s no point talking about her, I just wanna say that I started liking her because one of my favorite people in the world really loved her music. This song speaks to me and I enjoy it very much. Plus the chorus makes me wanna sing and dance and that’s perfect. “Look at me now, I have everything/You gave to me and my heart can sing”, I can’t stop myself :D

Since I’ve somehow rambled I think that now I should just get to the point. My choice for the tea is going to be the White Rooibos; which is a blend of white chocolate, rooibos, cocoa bits, carob pieces, aniseed and cocoanut flakes. Oooo and licorice root (almost forgot about that). It’s quite a festive flavor, sweet and creamy. It’s definitely the best choice for this track.

Adventures

“Look into my eyes and show me of/ Adventures I haven’t seen”. These are the first lyrics of “Adventures” by William Ekh featuring Alexa Lusade, a techno, dance song with a great beat that should make you feel pretty good about yourself, and maybe make you feel like wanting to pack your things and go.

& let’s drink some oolong today! & even better, a Chocolate Decadence Oolong tea. That’s a blend of: oolong tea, coconut chips, roasted maté, carob pieces, licorice root and rose petals. It tastes like dark chocolate with a sugary coconut flavor. What more could you want?

Boys Like You

Today I tried this new tea, not exactly new but a first for me: an Indian specialty or, better said, a tradition. I’m talking about Chai tea, more specifically the Maharaja Chai Oolong Tea. It's an oolong tea with spices like: cinnamon, ginger, cloves, peppers, chicory root, carob and cardamom. A very vigorous, booming and powerful blend that will just make you step a little lighter and happier today. And you can even get hooked on it.

Since this tea seems so joyful to me, I’m choosing a song that makes me wanna dance and have a good time: „Boys Like You” by Who Is Fancy featuring Meghan Trainor & Ariana Grande. It’s a light and insanely catchy song that the voices of all three artists make it into a very intriguing release. „Try try try to follow the rules, I break everyone of them with boys like you”, that’s the lyric I’ll be singing all day.
