The Best Has Yet To Come

Hey guys!

Today is a special day; it’s the birthday of one of my best of friends, someone who’s been with me thru the good and the bad. And because of that I need you to help me wish her a happy and perfect birthday; full of great memories, with flawless moments and good times, cause she deserves it. Our friendship isn’t an very old one but it’s one that I hold dear to my heart, full of amazing memories, great stories and lots of laughter and that is why you birthday is important to me.

Now… like always when it’s someone’s birthday they choose the song and tea they like in this moments. She wanted something that has apple and cinnamon as their main ingredients and keeping that in mind I searched the tea database and found the Cinnamon Apple Spice. A bend made from: cinnamon, apple, hibiscus, chamomile, roasted chicory, orange peel and roasted carob. This is a sweet and full of flavors tea, with a strong smell and taste of apple and cinnamon now to overpowering so the rest of the ingredients get to shine a little. You can consume it at any time of day, it doesn’t contain caffeine and it even has chamomile so if you dink it before bed you might fall asleep like a baby.

As for the tune of the day, her choice is “The Best Has Yet To Come” from Scorpions. This is a powerful ballad, it’s catchy and passionate, a blend of classical form with hard rock dynamics, guitar and vocal that doesn’t give in to modern clichés but a renewed version of themselves.  Klaus Meine's recognizable vocal are a familiar sound, not to nostalgic but a pleasure to listen to. I’ve got to say some of the lyrics from the chorus fit prefect with our friendship and somehow this song has more meaning to me to. “Through the highs and lows/ And how can I live without you/ You're such a part of me/ And you've always been the one/ Keeping me forever young/ And the best is yet to come”.

Kisses and Go drink (and with my awesome friend a happy birthday), I’m already drinking mine.

Have a wonderful day, a happy birthday and a life you can be proud of my dear friend :*

Run

Hey guys!

Guess what? Today we are going to enjoy Foo Fighters new song “Run”. It’s a little heavier than their usual track but I’ve got to say I really love it. Its starts slow and with the hook line which I adore “we run” playing on repeat. The drums and guitars follow surly after and turn this tune into something full of energy. This a nice to hear those melodic parts after thrashing and some amplified tortured soloing. I’m definitely gonna listen to this song some more, one day on repeat isn’t enough.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something that will give you energy, improve your memory and enhances physical endurance and those are the benefits from just one ingredient. The tea is called MangOrange Maté and it’s a delicious, lightly sweetened and delicately flavored. It contains: Yerba maté, orange peel, stevia leaf, orange & mango bits. What else could you wish for in a tea :D

Feel Invincible

Happy birthday to me!

So today is my 25th birthday and I thought I should wright something I like but since that is the whole concept of this blog I’ve choose 2 of my closest friends to choose for me. One for the song and the other for the tea, and this is what they come up with.

For the song today me are listening to “Feel Invincible” by Skillet. I was a little surprised that my best friend thought that I like this track but he wasn’t wrong. By the half of the melody I really started to enjoy it. It’s a dynamic tune that almost feels like an anthem and it’s supposed to be about that feeling that when you don’t wanna give up and stay scared of what might be coming. It’s definitely an infectious track that it’s going to follow me around all day.

Now for the tea, one if my favorite people in the world choose for me a green tea with:  peppermint, lemongrass and something sweet like raspberries. She said that the English Breakfast tea might be one of my favorites but since I have my problems with sleeping a green tea is the better choice. And I think it might be perfect especially for the summer that is to come, I’ll just turn it into I iced tea and it’s going to become one of my favorites.

So all together they did a great job. They seem to really know me, maybe I should take a break from writing and let their collective thinking do my job :D

Take Me Over

Hey guys!

A few hours ago I found this song and it took me over. It’s from the band Red, a Christian rock, alternative, hard rock band from Nashville, Tennessee. I think this track is supposed to be a prayer or a plea for redemption. But I anyone how listens to this tune will find its own meaning.  I enjoy the melody, those fast drum kicks, guitar riff and the lyrics are quite catchy. It’s called “Take Me Over” and I find this song to be more romantic than anything else.

Now for the tea, my choice is Angel Tears. It’s a blend of: green tea (Liu An Gua Pian) and white tea (Pai Mu Tan) , red pepper corns and pineapple bits. This tea has a sweet taste, it’s invigorating and it will help with the energy levels for the entire day.

Amnesia

Hey guys!

Here in Romania winter is coming, or it’s already here and that means that sometimes we might get sick. Because of that I decided to find the perfect relief when we get in that situation. What do you guys think about Cold Chaser tea which it’s a mix of: elder leaves, linden blossoms, thyme, aniseed, fennel, rose hip peels, licorice root, blackberry leaves & wild thyme. Add some lemon and give it a try.

And when it comes to the song I choose something with a little more punch so we can have energy to chase our cold away. “Amnesia” it’s a rock, hard rock or even post-grunge track from the band Red Sun Rising. This melody is about taking life by the horns and just running with it, whatever may come “Life should be touched not choked to death”. But I’ve got to say this is my favorite lyric “Don't roll your eyes/ Take a breath”. That seems like a good advice.

The Devil's Bleedings Crown

What’s up guys?

So this weekend, there was a song that me and my best friend played on repeat (he learned to love it by the 4th or 5th repeat). The song is called “The Devil's Bleedings Crown” and it’s by Volbeat. I’m not sure what I like more about it, the guitar riff or the chorus, but for some reason I really enjoy this track. It pumps me& gives me energy. I hope you, guys, like it at least a bit :P

The tea I’m thinking about is something that puts you in motion and, also, has a red-ish color to go with the title of the song. It’s called Chocolate Orange tea and it’s a blend of rooibos, chocolate chips, cocoa grounded beans, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, orange peeland orange blossom.  There is a lot of chocolate in this one so the taste is going to be wonderful. Enjoy!
