So today I
just wanna feel good and this next song is the perfect way to start. It’s
called “Feel Good” and it’s by Neon Trees.
It’s not the first track of theirs that I’ve shared with you, so there
is no need to talk about them. This song is for that person that makes you
happy, the one that in any kind of situation is there for you and helps you
thru your loneliness, anxiety and even depression. Plus it has this lyric that I
just really love, it’s awkward and it fits perfectly: “Yeah, you were naked in
my dream I had last night/ Then things got wet and weird” :))
As for the
tea, something fruity with lots of ice really made my day even better. It’s
called the Pomegranate Berry Ice and it’s a sweet and refreshing with some
spices and a perfect balance of citrus. The blend is a combination of:
hibiscus, rose-hip, cinnamon, orange slices and peels, pomegranate, blackberries
and red currant. Plus you can turn this
blend into the perfect Sangria just by adding some wine (a Pinot Noir is the
perfect choice), apple slices and more oranges.

Today we
are listening to another pop, electronic track coming from the Norwegian singer
Sigrid. “Plot Twist” is the song I’m talking about and it’s catchy, energetic with
great vocals and it has something about it that made me keep it on repeat for
some hours now. Seems to be about getting over someone after a brake-up and
that’s relatable for most of us. I consider this tune to be a fun one especial
with lyrics like this: “Do you need me to spell it out loud? You screwed it up/
Plot twist, moved on and now you want me”.
And now for
the tea, I’m thinking that something a combination of black tea with something
to give it a great aroma might be just what we are looking for. So let’s add
some ice to the perfect combination of: black tea, sunflower petals, cornflowers,
rose petals, nettle leaves, peppermint and red currant. It’s fruity and full
body with benefits for your skin, hair and nails, and it will give you energy
to take the day head on. I forgot to say the name of my new blend which is: Sunflower

Today we
are listening to some pop music coming from Charli XCX, I’m talking about her
single “Boys”. This is a fun and easy song full of good vocal over a glitching
video game bleeps. This song feels like something you listen to when it’s too
hot outside and you feel like doing nothing, it’s simple, not too energetic,
and it gives you a good vibe. Sorry girls but she is busy, she can’t answer
that phone, she is thinking about boys. And seeing the new video for this track
there is no wonder why.
As for the
tea, I’m thinking that something full of ice and fruity might be the perfect
combination. So a combination of: blood orange, lemon, cranberries,
blueberries, black currant & lemongrass, cornflowers, rose petals and just
a bit of mint might just do the trick. I call this blend Heat Slayer. It’s perfect
at any time of day, it’s full of antioxidants and it can be enjoyed either hot
or cold, depending on your mood.

Today I woke
up in a good mood and started listening to “Pay No Mind” by the French electronic
producer Madeon featuring Passion Pit the indietornica band from Massachusetts.
This is a very funky track that just puts your body in motion and gives you
good energy and an exceptional good groove. It’s got and infectious beat that will
draw you in and you’ll easily find yourself singing and dancing to the song. The
ending is a little cheesy but it’s still done to perfection.
And for the
tea, this is one of my own blends; I call it My Sweet Chocolate. It’s a
combination of: black tea, rooibos, a lot if chocolate bits, cocoa powder,
ginger and cinnamon powder and it I’m in the mood for an iced tea like this
morning, I’ll add a little sugar or honey and some ice and turn it into a must
for hot summer days. This will most definitely give you a boost in energy :D

I have a feeling that today is going to be
a hot day and because of that I think that some iced tea might do us some good.
We are going to need something refreshing and light that could give us some
energy to face the weather. I’m thinking that Lemon Ginseng Green Ice will do
the trick since it contains the perfect amount of caffeine. It’s a blend of: green tea, lemon myrtle
& eleuthero root (the Siberian ginseng).
As for the track, I’m choosing a Romanian artist
especially since we haven’t listen to any of them and they are so close to home:)). The song is called “Noon Moon” and it’s by
the idm (or Intelligent Dance Music), electronic, trip-hop music composer Silent Strike. This is a slow and
easy to listen melody that just keeps you relax and makes you enjoy life just a
little more. It can easily be made into a background sound when you’re lying on
grass looking at the sky. That’s about it for today, now…

Today I’m drinking a white tea that it’s
best with ice and in warm weather. It’s called White Raspberry Ice and it’s a
combination of: white tea, raspberry, cloves and cinnamon. It’s a delicious beverage,
low on caffeine and full of antioxidants and fragrances that will surprise you.
It’s sweet, spice and you can never go wrong by drinking it, hot or on ice.
As for the song I’m listening to Mr. Doctor
Man by the Canadian alternative rock band Palaye Royale. It’s a catchy song and
it’s all you could need from a rock song. The drum kicks, guitar riffs, bass
solos, it's just incredible. Plus the raspy vocals of the lead singer make this
song easy to remember. I was pleasantly surprised by this band’s sound and the energizing
feeling that just wrap me up every time I listen to the song.

It’s getting warmer outside and that means
that some of us will start enjoying the lavender tea again. Because of that I’m
choosing the easiest blend ever made of just green tea and lavender. It’s
refreshing with a light floral taste to it. Plus with just a little ice it can
turn into the most perfect beverage.
For the song I’m going to slow thing down
and enjoy Tom Walker’s new track “Just You And I”. It’s an emotional track in
which you can feel the love that Tom is singing about. It a sweet melody that
from the first listen made me really love the song and keep it on repeat. Plus the
lyrics are extremely cute, like: “'Cause my darling, you and I/ Could take over
the world” and “I can tell you anything,
You won't judge/ You're just listening, yea/ 'Cause you're the best thing that
ever happened to me”

Remember all those stories and movies that
reference to that crossroad where musicians sell their soul to the devil, in
return for fame and fortune? Now we have the new single of The Pretty Reckless
– “Take Me Down” that paints the picture perfectly: “Tell me your desire why
you pulled me from the fire /and we'll seal the deal with a kiss”. Plus,
at the end, you get Momsen singing “Sign with the devil” repeatedly, which is
then backed up by a choir of backing singers.
Since this song is about the devil, let’s
enjoy a drink in his name - The Devil Iced Tea. I’m not talking about the
cocktail, even thou it’s almost the same, but with just a few minor
differences. The tea’s a combination of
black tea, lemon, guava nectar, cinnamon and alcohol: tequila, rum and vodka
(just 2 ounces of each), not enough to get you drunk, but just the right amount
to make you sign a pact with the devil if necessary.

Jimmy Eat World is back, guys, and they’ve
announced their coming back album. But before that, let’s enjoy one of their
new tracks, “Sure and Certain”. It’s quite a good one I think. The guitar riff
and the melody are heartwarming. “Sure and certain/Wander 'til we're old” it
will get stuck in your head, and not just because it’s repeated throughout the
song, but also because it’s so catchy.
Today I was in the mood for cherries and
that made me think of Cherry Kiwi Coconut tea. That’s a blend of: apple pieces,
coconut flakes, cherries, pieces of kiwi and cranberries. It has a sweet but
sour taste, and it’s for sure a way to help you get up in the morning. All you
need is sugar and ice to turn it into the perfect iced tea.

Every once in a while, there comes a heat
wave that makes me stay in my house, on the floor, trying to find a little
shade :) While doing that, I’m always drinking an iced tea, a Beat The Heat
tea, to be more exact. That’s a blend:of: raspberries, blackberries, lemon and
orange. Pretty easy, right? You give it a try, I’m certain you are going to
like it.
A few days ago, I found this track of Jason
Derulo that gives me summer vibes. I’m talking about “Kiss The Sky”. This song
has a groovy feel to it that might make you think of “Uptown Funk”. And who
doesn’t like a chorus that says “Cause I believe we can fly now/ Spread your
wings and kiss the sky”? This track has the melody to make my body move, so
let’s dance (or maybe not, I’m still good on the floor)!

Today we’ll go old school and listen to
Ella Fitzgerald’s and Louis Armstrong’s “Cheek To Cheek”. It’s one of my
favorite songs because of its warm feeling and because it has some lovely
lyrics that can make anyone feel better. That piano that plays all thru the
song and their voices that smoothly intertwine make me imagine a beautiful
night out with a certain someone, anyone else with me?
Right now I’m drinking an iced tea, a green
mate with lavender, peppermint and raspberries (I found a new love in
raspberries :P ). This will boost your energy levels and, somehow, will relax
you or more like relieve stress and that is what we all need, right?

Sooo today was the perfect kind of day:
doing almost nothing, just having a good time, eating and drinking tea, of
course. It was one of the most amazing days I had in a long time. I drank a
Green Lavender iced tea – a combination of green tea, lavender, lemongrass and
some ginger. It’s just the right beverage for any time of the day: morning,
afternoon or even at night. Any time it’s the right time to drink this tea, as
I was saying.
The song I’ve known for a long time, but
now, when I’m sitting alone in my room, this is the perfect melody to listen to
– “Panic Attack” by Tunturia, a post-rock band from Toronto. Don’t be fooled by
the name, you won’t get a panic attack. Instead, this is a calming track that
seems to fit your mood perfectly. To tell you the truth, I was hooked on this
song from the start and I don’t think there is anything else special to say
about it. Just give it a try cause you might like it. And maybe you’ll even hit
the replay button.

So today is another good day, just drinking
tea in my balcony and enjoying life to the fullest. Today’s choice of tea is a
minty one; it energizes me and I just love the taste. So I made myself a apple
mint tea, with some ice and just a bit of black tea so I can have the energy to
dance thru the day :P
Right now I’m listening to a song called
“Poseidon” by Neptunica, a deep house band from Germany. This track seems
perfect for the weather outside, it’s like a summer breeze that has the perfect
vibe, especially for this day. “Need nobody” and “What is love” keeps getting
stuck in my head (maybe because that is all I can understandJ)

How are you guys feeling today? Because I’m pretty good, drinking tea and listening to music. This is definitely a good combination for me. Right now I’m drinking a black currant and mint iced tea (it has black tea in it as well), perfect for the weather outside. It’s summer FINALLY! :P Since all the ingredients I’ve mentioned are perfect for rising the energy levels, this feels like it’s going to be a great day. Maybe even better if I go outside for a walk or something.
I’m also listening to „Sugar” by Karmin. Remember when they did that cover for Busta Rhymes’s „Look at me Now”? I think that was awesome! But I also really like this song, a bit of rapping that Amy’s voice makes it even more inviting. Plus, I’m pretty sure everyone has or had in their lives that person that they would like to say: „Sugar, I can't think about anybody but you” to.

I’m in a very chill mood today, maybe
because of all the tea I’ve been drinking or just because. So this morning I
decided to drink an ice tea and I made something to match my mood: a lavender
iced tea, my own personal blend with lavender (of course :P), lemongrass and
peppermint. It has a perfect taste, lemony, minty and the lavender brings them
nicely together. I think that’s perfection. Hope you enjoy it as well.
Ok, now the song. I’ve found this track today and I loved it from the start. It’s called “Coexist” by Prismo. It’s a
trap, electro sound that made me fell deep into my own thoughts. The lyrics are
kind of cute and I love the verse about the stars – “If you lose my beating
hear/From the stars above/I'll shine on you” (anything with stars makes me act
silly). I think this is going to be the song of the day for me.

I’m in a
great mood right now and this song helped me keep this state longer. I’m
talking about „Cake By The Ocean” by DNCE (if some of you missed Joe Jonas,
here he is). With lyrics filled with obvious sexual innuendos, the track is a
groovy experiment with a mature underlying meaning: "You're a real life
fantasy, you're a real life fantasy, but you're moving so carefully, let's
start living dangerously". Quite a good track that gets stuck in your head
so easily. Seems like such a summer song, although I've been listening to it on
repeat for the past two days and it’s still spring.
Since this
song is so sweet and makes me think of summer, let’s have a tea that does the
same: a blueberry-lemon iced tea. You should always have something cold and
refreshing in your fridge, and this iced tea is a perfect idea. In addition, I
will give you a recipe that will cover you in sweetness all over.
Ingredients:
1 pack of
frozen blueberries
1/2 cup
fresh lemon juice
4 cups
water
4 tbs black
tea
3/4 cup
sugar
Preparation:
Bring the
frozen blueberries and the fresh lemon juice to a boil in a large saucepan,
over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Remove from the
heat and pour through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a bowl, using the back of
a spoon to squeeze out the juice. Discard the solids. Wipe the saucepan clean.
Bring 4
cups of water to a boil in same saucepan; add the black tea and let it stand
for 5 minutes. Remove and discard of the tea leaves. Stir in 3/4 cup sugar and
the blueberry juice mixture. Pour into a pitcher; cover and chill for 1 hour.
Serve over ice.

winter is leaving and the heat is finally coming, I think it should be celebrated
with an ice tea and an upbeat track that will keep you in a magnificent mood
all day, or something like that.
I imagine
that everybody knows who Gwen Stefani is so there is no reason for me to say
more, right? The song that I’ll be referring to today is called „Make Me Like
You” and is exactly that kind of song that gets stuck in your head because it’s
happy, has easy & cute lyrics and a beat that makes you wanna dance &
just have a good time. Plus, if you are in the same state of mind like I am
right now, you will relate with what Gwen is singing from start to finish...
„Why'd you have to go and make me like you?”:P . I’m definitely going to sing it
all day thinking about someone :).
Ice Tea...
perfect to beat the heat or just perfect in general. How about black currant
ice tea?Doesn't that sound delicious? Thanks to the black tea that’s in it, this
tea will give you the energy to enjoy the song to the fullest and the black
currant will make your skin look better and healthier because of its
anti-ageing proprieties. Splendid ;). I’m going to give you the best recipe for
this ice tea. All you need is:
2 Tbsp
black tea
4 cups (1L)
cold water
1/4 cup (60
ml) honey
1/4 cup
plus 2 Tbsp black currant juice (not from concentrate)
Fresh mint
leaves, if you like.
Boil the water.
In a large teapot, add the black tea, pour the boiled water over the top and
let it steep for at least 5 to 10 minutes. (I prefer a stronger tea flavor for
this drink, so I let the tea steep for 10 minutes.)
When the
tea is at your preferred strength, take the black tea out. Pour the tea into a
large measuring cup that will hold at least 5 cups(1.25 L) of hot liquid. Add
honey and stir until dissolved. Add black currant juice and store covered in
the fridge. Add ice into glasses and pour in the tea; garnish with fresh mint
leaves.
