I Only Lie When I Love You

Hey guys!

“I Only Lie When I Love You” is the song we are listening today, from the English alternative rock, garage rock band Royal Blood. It’s a modern blues with a lot of drum kicks and guitar riffs, but there are not that heavy, they just get you pumped up and ready to take in the world. This track is a nod to The White Stripes with its video and the persistent drumming and the distorted riffs. It’s a track that feels similar from the first listen and it stays with you because is quite addicting and extremely enjoyable.

Now for the tea, I’m choosing something mostly cause of its name. This new tea is called Burn Baby Burn and it’s an amazing blend of: green and white tea, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, coconut flakes, dandelions and black pepper to enhance the turmeric.  It’s a kickass anti-inflammatory with metabolism boosting & fat scorching ingredients (disintegrates that fat & inflammation). So today it’s time to wake up and feel the burn.

Petrichor

Hey guys!

Today I really feel the need for something that will put me on my feet, cause I fill a cold coming on. And because of that my choice is Turmeric Comfort. It’s a perfect blend of: honey bush, rooibos, turmeric, cinnamon, pepper, ginger, honey bee pollen. Almost all the ingredients of this tea have benefic attributes for: inflammation, cold, flu, stress and weight loss.

And my choice of song is … “Petrichor” by Tall Ships, a melodic hardcore, indie band for the UK. I immediately fall on love with this track, its drum kicks, guitar riffs, just this tune beats and melodic line. Plus the lyrics are an expression of originality and emotion carefully created with some wonderful words. “My favorite smell is petrichor/ The scent straight after rain/ An illusion of beginning again” it’s just the perfect showcase of a brilliant songwriter.

Expressions

Hey you!

I know that for some of you is time to study, I have a friend that finds herself in the same predicament, and I thought I might try to help somehow. So today we are drinking a tea that helps you focus and it gives you energy, it help you charge your mind and body. I’m naming it No Jitters Energy Tea, because after you drink this tea you won’t have does crashes associated with caffeine. This blend contains: black tea, Yerbe Mate, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cacao nibs, cocoa powder, honey bush, chili flakes and safflower.

As for the song I’m choosing something slow and relaxing so you can concentrate more on other matter. The track is called “Expressions” and it’s by Helen Jane Long a British composer, musician and pianist. It’s a simple and almost repetitive sound but it somehow manages to capture a lot of emotions, feelings and moods into this melody and gives you a sense of comfort and that makes it a great song. Hope you can appreciate as it is or the very least as a relaxing background music.

Just Touch

Hey guys!

I found this song a few days ago and since then it’s been on repeat so I thought it’s time to share it with you. It’s an indie rock, kind of an indie pop track called “Just Touch” from the band The Hubbards. It’s something about this song that just makes me hit repeat, maybe it’s the drums kicking of that guitar riff or maybe those parts when the lead singer sings “I don't like your boyfriend/ girlfriend” it puts a smile on my face :D. Or maybe it all of those things together that make such a enjoyable song.

Now for the tea, I’m choosing something that will energize you and it will have a lot of benefits for your health, starting with you immunity and going all the way to you skin. It’s called Turmeric Gold and it’s a blend that contains: turmeric roots, pieces of ginger, cocoa shells, anise, fennel, blackberry leaves. And for those of you that like vanilla you can add some pieces and turn it into a more delicate beverage.

Death In Rebirth

Hey guys!

Today I woke up and felt a little weak. I know that spring is just getting here but apparently now it the perfect time to catch a cold, and since we don’t want that to happen I’m thinking that a hot tea with a powerful combination that offers antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, digestive and cardiovascular benefits, and much more is the perfect choice. Plus it’s a simple one, it just has: turmeric, ginger and black pepper. Easy enough?

For the song I’m choosing a post-rock one since it’s been a few days since I recommended one. This one comes from the band Mono, a band from Tokyo, Japan, and it’s called “Death In Rebirth”. It’s a track that builds slowly till it gets to it’s kind of sinister climax. It’s a song that has a lot of influence and you can tell that just after one listen, and it’s the first song from their album “Requiem for Hell” that seems to be inspired by Dante’s The Divine Comedy.

Highs & Lows

Hey guys!

Today I’ll try to get right to the point, so let’s start. There is a track today that makes me feel better. It’s an R&B melody by Emeli Sandé and it’s called “Highs & Lows”. It’s a classic for he, it has the piano, small choir and clapping. But something about this one doesn’t feel like an emotion roller-coaster with is a very good thing. This tune will help you have a good day and help you manage the day. At least it does for me.

As for the tea, I’m thinking of something that has turmeric cause I really like it now. So let’s drink the Stimulating Tea which is a combination of: ginger, cardamom, cloves, turmeric root, coriander and nutmeg. I know some of you are going to enjoy it, and maybe find a new love in it.

True North

Hey guys!

Since it’s the start of a new week I thought we should all try something different. This week I bought some turmeric and I think this is the perfect new thing to try. I found a blend
Turm It Up! which is a combination of: turmeric, hibiscus, lemon peel, ginger and if you like a bit of vanilla. It’s a fruity blend with a spice taste to it. And because turmeric is a superfood, this tea is packed full of benefits.

And now when it comes to the song my choice is going to be “True North” by You.May.Die.In.The.Desert. This band comes from Seattle and their music fits in the post-rock, instrumental, experimental genres. It’s a very enjoyable track full of bits to follow and your mood might change with them. It will get you pumped and ready for anything that this day might bring you.
