This Is Halloween

Hey guys!

It’s Halloween and you know what that means, we can all sing “This Is Halloween” from the movie “A Nightmare before Christmas”.  Every once in a while I listen to this song but today make more sense to enjoy it :D. The track’s treatment was given to Marilyn Manson in 2006 for the 13^th anniversary re-release of the movie soundtrack and he made an even spookier version for it witch I love and enjoy very much.

Since it’s October and the pumpkin fits right in, let’s drink a tea for the season – a Pumpkin Spice Black Tea. It’s a combination of:  black tea, pumpkin, ginger, cinnamon, blackberry leaves, nutmeg and cloves. It’s sweet tea with lots of flavors that will give you the energy for all scares that the night might bring.

My Demons

Hey guys!

Let’s dive right in today and let’s start with the song. At this moment I’m listening to “My Demons” by Starset, an alternative/rock, we can call this genre space rock, from Ohio. This track has a catchy chorus and it feels like a good melody, not over the top or overwhelming. “Take me high and I’ll sing/ Oh you make everything ok” how doesn’t want someone to save us but guys let’s be pragmatics, sometimes we just have to confront what’s going on and take control of our lives.

For the tea I’m going to choose something that has white tea because it has caffeine in it enough to give you energy for the day but not so much that will keep you awake. I’m thinking that White Cinnamon Sage will do the trick. It’s a combination of white tea, cinnamon and some wisps of sage. Enjoy!

Do

Hey!

Today I woke up a little nauseous and I started listening to some post-rock, which always does the trick for me. And what I’m listening now is “Do” by Do Make Say Think, a band from Toronto. There are a lot of other songs that I like from them but this track has a perfect start that gets me hooked. It’s fantastic and I hope you see it as well.

Since the feeling of being a little nauseous hasn’t past yet I’m also drinking a Ginger & Lemon tea. It’s a mix of:  licorice root, lavender, ginger, lemon peel and lemon juice, pepper, peppermint and a bit hibiscus for the color and to bring all of the ingredients together. After drinking this tea I know I’m going to feel better.

Happy Pills

Hey guys!

It’s raining here so today I feel kinda sleepy but I’m giving into the mood and enjoying the rain with a hot tea that it’s called Bad Weather Aniseed and Honey. It’s a blend of: blackberry leaves, aniseed, fennel, raspberry leaves, leaves of strawberry, rose-hip, hazel leaves, marigold flowers, petals of sunflowers, plantain, rose petals, pieces of apple, danewort fruit, lemon balm and peppermint. When it’s ready you just have to add some honey to your tasting and done, the perfect tea for a bad weather.

Now for the song, I found this song a few hours ago and it got stuck there;). I’m talking about “Happy Pills” by Weathers an rock/alternative/indie band from the US.  This track is about the realization that we can’t really do anything we ever dreamed of and we get trapped in that 9 to 5 life. “But where I leave the lights on/ It’s so obvious that my life’s pretty plain” we all have to live with that and make it better.

Jumpin' Jack

Hey guys!

Right now I’m in the mood for some swing and I’m going to show you I song I just found. It’s called “Jumpin' Jack” by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy; it’s a contemporary swing revival band from South California. This track is quite hard to resist, cause when you hear it, you immediately wanna move and do the jumpin’Jack :)

The perfect combination for this melody it’s has to be a black tea, so you can keep dancing long after you finish your tea. The one I’m thinking about is Autumnal Blend tea, it’s a mix of: black tea, rooibos, apple pieces, rosehip peel, hibiscus, raisins, pieces of cinnamon, sunflower petals, fennel and if you like you can add some vanilla pieces, might even bring everything together.

Business Casual

Today is another day I woke up with a good attitude and I’m giving in to the mood, I’m drinking my tea - an Orange Yellow Plum tea. It’s a blend of: green tea, carrot flakes, mint, hibiscus, orange and lemon peel, licorice root, marigold flowers, catuaba and basil. This tea will ground you to the earth and let you feel all the vibes out there.

Now the song; it’s a track by GFBeats or GlutenFreeBeats (awesome name btw) and it’s called “Business Casual”. It’s a trip-hop, jazz-hop and has a nice feel to it. It’s chill and mellow and it’s perfect for first day back after a long weekend.

Everybody Talks

Hey!

Another work week has ended and let’s have some fun by listening to good music and try a tea you haven’t tried before. Today’s song is “Everybody Talks” by Neon Trees, an indie/pop/ alternative band from Utah. I started humming to this track immediately, somehow I felt like I know this song, it made me wanna dance and jump. “Hey baby won't you look my way/ I can be your new addiction” it definitely had me from the beginning.

For the tea I’m going to choose something that is going to transform in another kind of addiction. A Fruit Infusion Jelly Bears tea and it’s like you guess it has gummy bears. And also: hibiscus, raisins, elderberry, marigold, pieces of kiwi. It has a fruity taste and it will make you feel great.

Diamond Dreams

Hey!

I got to tell you today I woke up in a great mood and I found this tea that had me at the name. But I’ve got to say the taste is even better. It’s called Perfect World tea and it’s a blend of: blackberry leaves, chamomile flowers, lemon balm, mint, strawberry leaves, lemongrass, marigold, rose petals, lavender. Give it a taste, you might like it.

And the song, I just found it and it made my happy state even happier. I’m talking about “Diamond Dreams” by Castro a family trio from Texas. It’s a folk/pop/indie track with some beautiful lyrics and a combination of voices that made this melody shine. I even agree with some lyrics, like: “I've got dumb friends/ But man, I love them/ Cause there ain't a thing for me they wouldn't do”.

Waltz in A Minor (Op. Posth.)

Hey guys!

Right now I’m enjoying some classical music. I’m listening to “Waltz in A Minor (Op. Posth.)” by Frédéric Chopin. It’s a beautiful piano piece that gives me a good feeling. I just adore this melody it’s just a little sad but also hits happiness and hope at some point so it a tiny unclear.

Because this song is so calming for me I’m choose a Little Lavender tea. It’s my personal blend of: lavender, aniseed, apple and hibiscus. And if you like you can add some green tea.  It’s a very soothing tea that will just make love life even more.

Today let’s enjoy a green tea with a lot of flavors and benefits for you. A Caramel Sesame Cookie tea, which is a blend of: green tea, almonds, nuts, pieces of caramel, crunchy hazelnut pieces. It’s not my all-time favorite but today I had a craving for it. Give it a try, you might like it.

Now the song; it’s an indie-electronic, pop track that I really stated to enjoy because of the mellow melody and the combination of voices. This song even has a slight R&B feel to it that makes it even better. It’s called “End Credits” by Eden a producer from Ireland featuring Leah Kelly. I love the way the waves pulsate from the begging to the end.

Talk Too Much

Hey!

I’m in a good mood today and I’m going to try to share this state of mind. So let’s listen to “Talk Too Much” by Coin, an indie-pop band from Nashville. This track has a pretty great feel to it, happy and energetic and it’s exactly what I needed today. Has a very cute chorus that says: “You know I talk too much/ Honey, come put your lips on mine/ And shut me up”. How hasn’t tried that once or twice?

A Red Mango Strawberry tea seems like the perfect combination for me. A mix of: rooibos, mango cubes, strawberries, lemongrass and marigold flowers.  It has a sweet taste and a perfect red-ish color. It’s fruity and will keep that energy the song it’s going to give you.

Everdream

Hey guys!

I know its Friday and your work day is over so I choose a song to relax you. It’s called “Everdream” by Epic Soul Factory. They are 4 film music composers, and they belong in the trailer music genre, plus in the instrumental and orchestra genres. This track is absolutely beautiful and calming and if ever you need something to unwind to, this will do the trick. Enjoy.

For the tea I’m thinking about something equally soothing. I’m going to choose my own blend, a Good Day Tea. It's a mix of lavender, peppermint, Echinacea, lemongrass, raspberries and orange peel. It has a lot of benefits for you, especially in the calming department, a great taste and an even better smell. Give it a try if you decide to stay in today after a hard day of work.

American Love

Hey guys!

I found this band a few days ago and I started listening to their music and a couple of them stuck on me. I’m talking about Smallpools, a band from LA and their single “American Love”. It’s an indie/rock, alternative track that I fell in love in an instant. For me is an infectious track that I can’t help but sing along to, especially new this part comes “If I belonged to anyone/I'd choose a blond and have a son”. It seems pretty clever.

This song is energetic and I think the tea should keep that motivation or give you more. So a Chocolate Mate tea should do the trick. It’s a mix of Yerba Mate, chocolate bits, cinnamon and cloves. It’s has a sweet taste and a great smell and will give you the energy to get thru you day smoothly. Enjoy!

Carried Away

Hey!

Today’s song is “Carried Away” by Passion Pit, an indietronica band from the US. I feel in love with this track mostly because of the very colorful video that shows a troubled couple that becomes weaker as a relationship. The two settle their differences and take back things that they have said to each other.  Plus all the colors and the music, there is no way you won’t have your foot tapping to the beat.

For the tea I’m choosing something equally vibrant, a Pineapple Upside Down Cake tea. A beautiful blend of: black tea, pineapple & cherry bits. It taste just like a creamy cake, full of flavors and just the right amount of caffeine to get you thru all the misunderstandings, confusions or even  fights that you might have to endure.

Paris

Hey guys!

I get the feeling that today is going to be a good day (or at least I’ hoping) and right at the star of the day I made my tea like always. My choice is Chai Americaine, a bland of: black tea, cloves, cardamom, orange peels and cinnamon. It’s a sweet beverage full of flavors and perfect to give you energy for the entire day. Try it, you’ll see ;)

Now the song. This track starts with a piano playing and slowly builds up to a beautiful indie/pop/dance melody. It will make you dance and sing along, maybe even shout. The song is called “Paris” by Magic Man, a band from Boston. To me this song is about letting go of your problems and trying to move on even thou lyrically speaking is about the actual city Paris and a girl. “But now sweetheart, listen to the way I/Cannot forget a single day I/Spent rolling all around the room with you”.  It’s a lovely way of putting thing in perspective.

Sweet Christine

Hey, guys!

Today I’m going to do something different. I’m going to talk about a song from one of my friends’ new album (actually my friend’s younger brother). I’ve listened to all the tracks and this one is my favorite. It’s called “Sweet Christine” and the band’s name’ Solitaire Diamonds. It’s a mellow song that talks about his first love. This quite frankly is an unexpected journey, especially when he sings “I realized that I never said goodbye”. Maybe this love is not entirely over after all :D

Now for the tea... I’ve asked what his favorite tea is, and his choice was English Breakfast or peppermint. I think the peppermint will fit better with his song because it’s a stress relief and helps you sleep better. And since this track is about a love that’s gone, it might be a healthier choice.
