Who Are You

Hey guys!

Guess who caught a cold? That’s right, me :|. And because of that today’s tea it’s going to be something that will bring lots of benefits for my health. It’s a blend I created after I researched the aids of all of the ingredients.  I call it Light Bringer and it’s made from:  white tea which destroys pathogenic bacteria in your body, lemongrass serve as antiviral sore-throat calmer, elder flower reduces inflammation in mucous membranes, peppermint help relieve congestion and encourage productive coughs, and ginger aids chest and nasal congestion. It’s just 5 ingredients that will help you when you feel a cold coming, or when it’s already there.

As for the song, I’m choosing something slow and calming from the English duo Aquilo. The track is called “Who Are You” and it has an ambient sound that fills the silence around you with a beautiful piano playing, an amazing falsetto from Tom Higham and the pair’s captivating harmonies which seam come together effortlessly. It’s a perfect melody for rainy, cold days when you just wanna let the troubles of the world melt away.

Come Together

Hey guys!

Today I’m listening to the cover Gary Clark Jr. did for the movie Justice League, “Come Together” by The Beetles. I love the way Gary sings; I like his vocals, husky and rough as they are, and the guitar riffs that are just amazing, and this cover has them all. It’s a bass-heavy, electro-rock combined with blues which is an interesting change from usual Beatles riff. It’s easy to find something to love or to hate over this tune but and let’s hope that overall it will be all in the good pile.

And now for our second part, I’m going to choose the Winterberry tea blend. This is a mix of:  green tea, apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, rose hip peels, lemongrass, orange peel, strawberry pieces, orange slices, natural flavor, and marigold petals. It’s a nice addition for the months to come, a warm welcome when you get home after a long day of work, sweet strawberry with delicate green tea and citrus lemon balanced with hibiscus sounds perfect to me.

Babe I'm Yours

Hey you!

Today I have the perfect combination of relaxing and chilling. I’m going to star with the song coming from the alternative, electronic British duo Whilk and Misky called “Babe I’m Yours”. This has a mesmerizing sound that mixes genres that to most of us seam incompatible. It combines minimalist trip-hop with a folk instrumental sound.  Spanish guitars, clapping percussion, inviting vocals that give the song an earthy quality, even thou the minimalistic production is more energetic. This is a prefect track to listen when you wanna chill, unwind, or if you want contemplate the meaning of life. Plus I really like this part "I got hypnotized by her voice and her eyes"

Now for our tea, that’s easy, Chill Baby Chill is the perfect and most logical choice. It’s a smooth, easy-to-drink herbal tisane that reduces stress & has detoxing ingredients. It has a perfect mixture of: lemongrass, spearmint, milk thistle seed, ashwagandha root (the Siberian ginseng), Holy basil Trinity (Rama, Vana & Krishna), eleuthero root (Indian ginseng), dandelion root, nettle leaf and burdock root. You know what it doesn’t have, actual ginseng :D. The perfect tea to unwind, take a deep breath and chill out.

Any Friend of Diane’s

Hello!

Today I am listening to Weezer’s new album “Pacific Daydream” and my favorite song on it “Any Friend of Diane’s”. This one feels a little different from the track that Weezer has released before, it’s slow, unique and it just something about it, it’s even catch and easy to listen to.  But it seems that people are quite torn about it, either they like it or they just hate it. It’s not that 90s grunge and it looks that their sound has change and for me feels like for the better.

As for the tea, I’m choosing a simple one made from just 3 ingredients. It’s called Red Coconut and it contains: rooibos, coconut flakes or pieces and lemongrass. It’s simple, creamy and far from boring, with the “light” that the rooibos brings to the rich taste of coconut and last but not least the lemongrass that brings this blend to a perfect circle. It’s a perfect and cozy beverage that you can enjoy at any time of day.

A Hint Of The Sea

It’s been raining here since yesterday  and because of that I think that a tea with chamomile might be the perfect beverage to drink. This one is one of my own blends as well and it’s a combination of: chamomile, ginkgo biloba, stevia, nettle leaves, rose petals, sunflower petals and lemongrass. This will stimulate your memory and brain activity, reduces stress and anxieties, and strengthens your immune system. And the name I gave this blend is Brainiac. 

Now when it comes to the song, I’m choice is going to be “A Hint Of The Sea” by Glories, an American post-rock, ambient, atmospheric band. This is an outstanding song, clear, full of sounds that create a wonderful memory. I especially like that the beginning of the song slowly starts to build up in a way that doesn’t feel rushed and it gives you time to assimilate all the good things about it. It’s the perfect combination for rainy weather.

This Town

So today I’m going to choose something that make me feel relaxed and gives me a good feeling. Because of that the tea of the day is … A Cozy Cup. It’s a blend of:  rooibos, chamomile, peppermint and spearmint. I like adding a little lemongrass to this combination; and for some of you, you might like to try it with a little vanilla. It’s delicious, design to calm and relax you. It will definitely feel like a warm embrace, and having someone to share with might make this tea taste even better.

Now for the song we have Kygo’s new single featuring Sasha Sloan, a sweet and calm ballade full of good vocals and euphoric beats. It’s called “This Town” and it seems to be about wanting to have some adventures with the one you love, an open road, an ocean view. It’s a show and heartwarming tune that fits perfect with a cup of tea in your hand, the one you love next to you and some perfect moments. That’s it, now…

Find You

Hello!

Today we are going to listen to a tiny bit of pop coming from Nick Jonas new single “Find You”. It’s an easy and smooth, just a relaxed release from this artist, it full of that infectious beat and entrancing guitar riffs, plus his vocals that brings this tune to a perfect circle. Its about trying to understand the person you are with, but you can’t, overall just trying to figure that person out. It’s one of those songs that fit perfect on a slow day or on al log drive.

As for the tea, I’m choosing a herbal one, a tisane, with lots of benefits for your health, but mostly because of it’s heavenly taste. It’s called Typ Ayran Mint, and it’s a blend made from: apple pieces, orange peel, mint, lemongrass, rose hip peel, wild strawberry leaves, blackberry leaves, basil, lime oil. Fruity, minty and with a smell that will feel like a mesmerizing embrace. That’s it for today, now…

Starlight Filled Our Minds

Hey guys!

I woke up this morning hearing the rain and it gave me a state of calm and tranquility and I decided to pair it up with a green tea and a post-rock track, I hope you’ll  enjoy them. The tea is called a Fruta Bomb and it’s a sweet and soothing blend of: green tea, candied papaya pieces, apple pieces, carrot pieces, lemongrass, marigold petals, raisins. It can contain peach but since I don’t like them I prefer not to mix them in the blend. This tea creates a burst of flavor that’s perfect either hot or with ice.

And like I said before the song is going to be a post-rock one. I actually discovered the tune this morning, and I was completely impressed with it. It’s slow and it doesn’t agitate you and it feels like the perfect melody for raining weather. It’s called “Starlight Filled Our Minds” and it’s by 4 UK guys doing by the name Blanket. It’s a stunning song that seems to fill me up with good vibes and calm that it was just what I was looking for.

In And Out

Hey you!

Today as soon as I woke up I was thinking of a certain someone and because of this next track is for them. It’s called “In And Out” and it’s by pop, electronic singer Beth Ditto. It’s a track about love and it’s sweet and heartwarming especially accompanied by that lyric video. Plus her voice and vocal makes this tune even better, makes it special and it just fills you up in good vibes. I especially like the lyrics and my favorite ones are: “I know a good thing when I see it, baby/ My whole world wrapped in your smile/ I stuck around with my heart wide open/ We made a home, and it can't be broken”.

And now for the second part, I’m thinking that a herbal tea with a wonderful aroma of flowers might be the perfect choice, and because of that I’m picking the Ginger Aronia. A simple tea made from some key ingredients, like:  pieces of ginger, cumin, anise, lemongrass, aronia fruits, flowers sage, licorice root, rose petals, petals of sunflowers. Waking Up Slow

Hello guys!

Sorry for the wait, I’ve been on a well-deserved vacation. I saw my family, went to da wedding, and I spent some time with people I care. Because I’ve been gone for a while, and I’m sure that you’ve missed me so I’m going to start with a tea that will give you energy and a song that will surly put a smile on someone’s face.

The tea is a perfect combination of black and green tea with lemongrass, orange peel, grapefruit, pomelo, pieces ginger and peppercorns. It’s refreshing, full of energy and it has a taste that you will remember. It will boost your immune system, it’s rich in vitamin C, helps you lose weight, it’s a great antibacterial and it has a lot of antioxidants. It’s a perfect tea to enjoy at almost any hour of the day, by that I mean don’t drink it after 6 PM, you might have problem sleeping if you do. I forgot to say, I've named this tea Citrus Energy.

And now for the song, my choice comes from Gabrielle Aplin. I know I’ve shared with you another song of hers and it was amazing to (at least that’s what I think), this one is about love as well. It’s called “Waking Up Slow” and it’s indie, pop-ish track that makes me feel really good. The lyrics speak of realizing that you love some you only saw as a friend before. The lyric are sweet and gives you that feeling of joy. My favorite part it’s in the chorus, when she sings: “All my nights/ Taste like gold/ Yeah, when I'm with you/ It's like everything glows”. Run For Cover

‘ello!

Today I’m drinking a maté tea because I needed to change things up and start my day differently, today no more black tea :D. So I searched for a blend that give you energy, it’s refreshing and it has a wonderful aroma that will make your day even better. This tea is called Sierra Sunrise and it’s a mix of: Yerba maté, hibiscus, cinnamon, peppermint, lemongrass, rose-hips, orange peel, holy tulsi trinity (Rama, Krishna & Vana). It has a ruby rose color and the taste is just yummy, and for those of you that want it a bit stronger, just add some tequila :P

Now for the song, I’m going to choose The Killers new single “Run For Cover” from their fifth album “Wonderful Wonderful” that is going to be released on 22th September 2017. This track is full of energy, gets you pumped up (well it got me), and it has that guitar opening that just grabs you right from the start. The way the combine that guitar, drums and synth pads feels new every time even thou they’ve been doing this for a long time. This song is not about surrendering; it’s a good advice, a clever tactic coming from someone with some experience in life. That’s about it for today, now…

Boys

Hey guys!

Today we are listening to some pop music coming from Charli XCX, I’m talking about her single “Boys”. This is a fun and easy song full of good vocal over a glitching video game bleeps. This song feels like something you listen to when it’s too hot outside and you feel like doing nothing, it’s simple, not too energetic, and it gives you a good vibe. Sorry girls but she is busy, she can’t answer that phone, she is thinking about boys. And seeing the new video for this track there is no wonder why.

As for the tea, I’m thinking that something full of ice and fruity might be the perfect combination. So a combination of: blood orange, lemon, cranberries, blueberries, black currant & lemongrass, cornflowers, rose petals and just a bit of mint might just do the trick. I call this blend Heat Slayer. It’s perfect at any time of day, it’s full of antioxidants and it can be enjoyed either hot or cold, depending on your mood.

Inspiration

Hey you!

So today I think I found just the right song for you and I hope you like it. It’s called “Inspiration” and it’s an EDM, dance track, almost future bass but not quite ;), by Unknown Brain featuring Aviella. The beats are pretty amazing and the drops seem to be just the right amount of low and heavy, it’s quite calming to me and they make me just wanna dream more. Aviella’s vocals are amazing as well, her voice sounding a little childish but it really works. Plus the lyrics are inspiring indeed, “Baby you can count on me now/ When you’re falling down” and „I’ll be your heart and temptation/ Cause I know that you’ll make it on your own” being my favorite.

And for the tea, I’ve created a new blend and I call it Hug In A Cup. All the ingredients in this tea are supposed to give you a calm and relaxed vibe; it’s something that will make you feel comfortable, give you a sense of happiness and wrap you up in a worm and sweet embrace. This tea is a combination of:  rooibos, chamomile, stevia leaf, rose petals, cornflower and just a pinch of lemongrass. It’s perfect for any time of day, especially when you want to unwind.

Clair de Lune

Today we are talking about having an easy and well deserved sleep, effortless and empowering. I found a new liking in bacopa having lots of benefit for your body, with memory and anxieties and especially with insomnia. The tea that I’m talking about is one of my own blends, I’ve named it Nighty Night and it contains: bacopa(well of course), nettle leaves, chamomile, aniseed, lemongrass and some lavender, but just a bit. It’s fragrant and calming and it will help you sleep like a baby.

Now for the song it’s a sweet and amazing masterpiece of a piano suite. I’m talking about Claude Debussy’s “Clair de Lune”, one of the most adored melodies that I hold dear to my heart. This is a piano depiction of a Paul Verlaine poem. It’s played pianissimo and that creates a melancholic sadness, something that you could feel in the early hours of the morning, when the sun isn’t up and the world feels still. Those are my choices for today, so…

Outside

Hey!

So today I am listening to “Outside” by Tender, an indie, electronic duo from London. This track has a dark, R&B, electronic infuse groove that wraps you up into its mid-tempo, deep bass lines full of harmonies and haunting sounds. The lyrics are full of vulnerability, and that alluring rawness that hide an overwhelming emotion within those sweet sounds.

As for the tea my choice is going to be the Peppermint/Lemon tisane. It has a blend of: peppermint, lemongrass, carrot flakes, licorice root, orange peel, rose-hip and lemon. It’s full of aromas, it’s sweet but also refreshing and it’s also a good help when you feel a little down of you lost all your energy. Let's not forget, you can easily turn this tea into the perfect summer beverage just by adding a little ice and maybe a little sugar or honey.

So the last couple of days were filled with emotion and I’ve got to say that I found my happiness is someone else’s smile. There was a point yesterday when I was speechless and I realized that I’ve never felt like that for anyone before. And because of that the new single from Rita Ora which I've listened more than 100 times and I still can hear it some more is the perfect choice to express my feelings. The track is called “Your Song” and it’s an upbeat, radio friendly tune, full of positivity and it just gives you a feeling that everything is going right and that’s where your life is right now.  Plus the her voice is on point and the lyrics are beautifully written, and my favorite is: “When I kiss your lips, feel my heartbeat thump”.

Now for the tea, I’m going to choose something that is perfect to help you beat the heat. It’s called a Hot Pink Lemonade, and it’s an herbal tea that gives you a refreshing and it gives to that summer flavor a new and improved update. This blend is made of: apple pieces, lemongrass, candied pineapple pieces, hibiscus, candied papaya pieces, beetroot pieces, vervain, lemon peels, orange blossoms, marigold blossoms. It’s the perfect taste, the perfect color and the perfect way to enjoy summer.

Million Bucks

So this weekend I had a lot of fun with new friends and different surrounding and because of that I found the perfect song to share with you. It’s from the indie pop, alternative band Smallpools and the track is called “Million Bucks” and it’s about finding your comfort zone in a strange place, being the new person in a group and feeling happy about it. Is the best way to describe my weekend. Plus the song has that summer vibe that I just can’t get enough of.

As for the song, I’m going to choose a fruity one, full of aromas and perfect for the hot weather with just a little ice. I call it the Black Plum and it’s a sweet combination of: black tea, blackberry, strawberry & raspberry leaves, lemongrass, calamus root& mallow blossoms. It a relaxing, stimulating beverage that you can enjoy it at almost any hour of the day :D

So today I am listening to “Love Is A Bitch” by Two Feet an indie, jazz even blues artist. This is a song that you can listen to when you are alone and just enjoy the beat and life with the amazing lyrics. The raspy voice and the instrumental break just make this tune even better. Plus “Your mama says I'm a fool/ And yeah, maybe that's true 'cause I can't stop thinkin' 'bout you” and then when the instrumental break comes is my favorite part.

And for the tea, I’m going to choose a fruit one perfect for this summer days and with a little bit of ice might be the greatest beverage you can enjoy. It’s called Mandarin Mimosa and it’s a blend made of: apple pieces, lemongrass, mandarin, mango, marigold petals, orange peels, papaya pieces, pineapple piece and strawberry (if you like this kind of berries).

Periscope

Today we are diving right in and we are starting with the song. I’m listening to “Periscope” by Papa Roach featuring Skylar Grey and I have to say till yesterday I didn’t like this track but something change and now I’m really enjoying it. This song seems to be about an unrequited love, either within a relationship or out of one. It’s a more melodic tune, somehow moody and not that heavily based beat that use to fill us in their previous work. Plus after a few listens you will start to feel that infectious sound that fills the atmosphere.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something that will give you a little energy and frees your spirit. It’s called Samurai Chai Maté and it’s a blend composed of: green maté, rooibos, cinnamon, pineapple & papaya pieces, orange peels, lemongrass, aniseed, coriander and cardamom. This is a sweet and spicy infusion that embodies the way of the warrior, a combination to help you face every new day samurai-style :D.

Today we are going to celebrate friendship, love & unity with an anthem coming from the indie, rock, alternative band New Politics. Their track is called “One Of Us” and it’s happy and sweet, filled with cute lyrics and it has a certain something that reminds me of Queens.  Plus it feels like a summer song you can listen to on a drive around the world :D

Now for the tea I’m choosing something more spice and energizing. It’s called All Summer Long witch is a combination of: pieces of apple, lemongrass, pieces of ginger, juniper berries, lemon peel and dried cucumber slices. It’s a beverage that can lift you spirit and also refresh you.
