Watching The Storm

For today I’m going to share with you a special tea called You Glow Girl (or Bro); got to say I love the name. It’s a blend crated to give you a youthful glow, help you wind down, relax and let the magic flow right thru you. It’s created from: rooibos, cinnamon, cloves, elderberries, bilberry leaf, gotu kola, sage, thyme, eleuthero root.  It’s a tea that feels like a chai and I know you like those, that will improve your state of mind and help you unwind so it’s best to drink it before bed.  

And since the tea is perfect before sleep my choice is going to be a song that will help you with nice and pleasant dreams. It’s called “Watching The Storm” and it’s from the cinematic post-rock duo from Sweden U137. This track is more of an ambient song, with a melodic background and since the drums are missing is a perfect dreamy escape. It’s a perfect sound for a lovely and relaxed night.

Peace Sign

Hey guys!

Today I woke up feeling a little sick and I one of the best remedies I know is ginger tea or something that contains it since a simple ginger tisane isn’t to my liking. That’s why today I’m choosing Battle Born, a tea that contains: green tea, elderberries, sarsaparilla root, cinnamon, ginger, fennel seed, juniper berries, licorice root, sage. It’s a light tea that keeps you going thru the day with warm aromas and a good feeling.

As for the song I think that some of you might like “Peace Sign” from the indie, rock band The Front Bottoms. It’s a simple track that had me from the first seconds with gritty guitar tunes, a unique set of vocals and some blunt lyrics that make this song great. Plus I really like the chorus, especially when “So next time that she sees him/ It'll be peace sign, middle finger” is sung.

In And Out

Hey you!

Today as soon as I woke up I was thinking of a certain someone and because of this next track is for them. It’s called “In And Out” and it’s by pop, electronic singer Beth Ditto. It’s a track about love and it’s sweet and heartwarming especially accompanied by that lyric video. Plus her voice and vocal makes this tune even better, makes it special and it just fills you up in good vibes. I especially like the lyrics and my favorite ones are: “I know a good thing when I see it, baby/ My whole world wrapped in your smile/ I stuck around with my heart wide open/ We made a home, and it can't be broken”.

And now for the second part, I’m thinking that a herbal tea with a wonderful aroma of flowers might be the perfect choice, and because of that I’m picking the Ginger Aronia. A simple tea made from some key ingredients, like:  pieces of ginger, cumin, anise, lemongrass, aronia fruits, flowers sage, licorice root, rose petals, petals of sunflowers. Chateau

Hey you!

Today is the first day of autumn according to the calendar since is the first of September, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have some fun, listing to music, drinking a good tea and enjoy put lives. And today it’s about that, and I’ll start with the song. My choice is an indie, acoustic, folk track from the Australian duo Angus & Julia Stone. The track is called “Chateau” and it’s sweet and relaxing, has a good vibe and it’s about love. Well at list for me. Wanting to run away with that certain someone, to some place where nobody knows you and having the time of your life. And that’s way my favorite lyrics are: “We can go to the Chateau Marmont/ And dance in the hotel room/ We can go to the Chateau Marmont/ And dance we got nothing to lose”.

And for the tea, I’m just creating the perfect blend. I call it At Summer’s Feet J. And it’s a sweet and flowery, fruity blend that you can enjoy at any time of day. It’s a perfect combination of: rooibos, sunflower petals, rose petals, raspberries, cornflowers and sage. They are all summer ingredients and they help with your immune system and uplifting your mood. That’s about it for today, so…

Back To You

Today I feel the need for a green tea, something refreshing and yet energetic enough to have a good day. This one is called Battle Born an it has a lot of benefits for your health; like: it boosts your immune system, improves memory, aids digestion and it has anti-inflammatory properties.  So the ingredients that are so good for you are: green tea, elder berries, sarsaparilla root, cinnamon, ginger, fennel, juniper berries, licorice root and sage.

And now for the track, I’m choice is “Back To You” from Louis Tomlinson, one of the guys form One Direction, featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals. I kinda feel in love with this song immediately, the combination of voices between this to artist creates a harmonization of vocals pretty strong and well done. Bebe’s husky voice and Louis’s expressivity and charm is easily noticeable. This is a relaxed, chill melody but feels energetic enough to keep us wanting more.

Will You Ever Love Yourself

Hey you!

Today I thought I would lend a helping hand to those of you that have finals and exams; and I’ve create a tisane blend perfect for studying, relaxation and focusing. I’ve named it Easy Does It and it’s a simple but effective combination of: chamomile, nettle, sage and ginkgo biloba. It’s smooth, has a lovely smell and a unique taste.

As for she song, my go to genres for relaxing are classical and post-rock. And since I have the perfect post-rock track to go with the tea, “Will You Ever Love Yourself?” by Hammock is going to be my choice. It’s a slow and easy tune; it isn’t filled with exploding sounds so you won’t get worn out. Plus it has that certain something that makes me think of the end of an adventure and the beginning of another.

Mad About You

Hey you!

So today I’m going to start with the tea, something that will give us some energy but also keep us is a calm state if mind. The tea is called Ginger Aronia and it’s a mix of: ginger, cumin, anise, lemongrass, aronia berries, sage flowers, licorice root, rose petals, mint and star anise. This tea is perfect for any occasion just don’t drink excessively because even though the licorice root has a lot of benefices it has some side effects to.

Now when it comes to the song I know the perfect one just for you. It’s called “Mad About You” and it’s Koni, a German producer, featuring Danelle, a singer from LA. This track fits in the deep house, melodic house genres and I’ve got to say I fell in love with it from the first listen. It has a mellow and warm vibe to it and some very stunning lyrics. If you are in love with someone you are going to agree with the lyrics. I have a few favorites of course, like: “I feel the magic in my veins/ It's like I'm sipping a potion/ Only you can give to me” and of course because of all the things you make feel “my body is feeling kind of weak”. It’s a perfect melody that explains some of the feelings that you feel for the right person.

Water Under The Bridge

Hey guys!

Today’s song is going to be “Water Under The Bridge” by Adele, because I woke up singing the chorus, which is my favorite part btw. Her voice is so beautiful and I just love it, and in this song she gives me a good feeling. This track is about her relationship with her boyfriend, like a lot of her songs, but this one is more about that moment when the relationship gets serious, and then getting a bit scared by it. After that realizing that this is where you wanna be for as long as you possibly can, and I can relate with that.

Now for the tea, I’m thinking of something that will keep giving that good feeling and make you enjoy life just a bit more. And because if that my choice is going to be the Honey Ginger Cinnamon tea. It’s a blend of:  cinnamon, sage, basil, lemongrass, ginger, sea buckthorn, black pepper, verbena and coriander. Just when you are ready to drink this perfect beverage add a little honey. It will be even better.

My Demons

Hey guys!

Let’s dive right in today and let’s start with the song. At this moment I’m listening to “My Demons” by Starset, an alternative/rock, we can call this genre space rock, from Ohio. This track has a catchy chorus and it feels like a good melody, not over the top or overwhelming. “Take me high and I’ll sing/ Oh you make everything ok” how doesn’t want someone to save us but guys let’s be pragmatics, sometimes we just have to confront what’s going on and take control of our lives.

For the tea I’m going to choose something that has white tea because it has caffeine in it enough to give you energy for the day but not so much that will keep you awake. I’m thinking that White Cinnamon Sage will do the trick. It’s a combination of white tea, cinnamon and some wisps of sage. Enjoy!

I Am A Nightmare

Today is another one of those days when I’m not quite sad, but not happy either. It’s somehow the perfect balance of both, so I’m drinking some EterniTEA Green (clever name hmm). That’s a mix of green tea, rosemary, sage, rose petals and safflowers, with a lemon twist. This tea will help you live life at your full potential or at least that’s what you will feel because of those many flavors.

The song: “I Am A Nightmare” by Brand New, an alternative rock band from New York. I found this one today and it’s been on repeat ever since. The guitar & the drums bury the vocals that are repeating “I am a nightmare and you are a miracle”, but my favorite part is the one that says “Please don’t replace me/ I surrender, embrace me”. It makes a lot of sense to me.

HandClap

Today I wanted another kind of tea to wake me up in the morning besides the black tea, something that would taste like happiness and I think I found it. It’s called Happy Jumble, a blend of currant fruits, mint, rose-hip, carrot flakes, lemon balm, sage, mallow, sunflower petals, mate& claw immortelles. This tea will give you energy, help you with your skin health and heart, will boost your brain power and will reduce anxiety. It’s been a great idea for this morning (and for any other morning for that matter).

I’m going to pair this tea with a melody that will make you happily want to move, something in the line of „HandClap”by Fitz And The Tantrums (an indie, funk, pop group from L.A.) This song made me actually clap my hands and put me in a very good mood. It’s a track about love and desire that you can find sang in lyrics like „You're like a drug to me, a luxury, my sugar and gold”.Isn’t that a very nice way to tell someone that you want them, need them, crave them?It’s even nicer if you’re the one they want, need or crave, amIright? Iu-hu! Happy, happy, joy, joy!
