Dusk Till Dawn

Hey you!

Today we are feeling a little emotional and in remembering of my first song and tea posted I’m going to share with you Zayn new single featuring Sia “Dusk Till Dawn”, and it’s one of the most perfect love songs, and combination of voices. It’s about two lovers trying to do everything and willing to do everything to be together with incredible instrumental and dramatic choruses that make you feel the passion between these artists. I especially like the part when Sia is firs introduce, she doesn’t steal the show, just highlight what’s great about this song.

And for the tea, I’m going to choose a lavender tea, I feel like that feels perfectly with this tune. Something like a Sweet Lavender which is a combination of: ginger, orange peel, all-spice, lavender, licorice root, lemon balm, red rosebuds and petals and a tiny pinch of stevia leaf. Lightly sweeten and fresh from the gardens, it’s a relaxing, refreshing beverage with a just a little pinch from the spices, it’s perfect on any occasions and it will leave you wanting more. That’s it for today, hope you enjoy my choices…

Water

Hey guys!

I woke up this morning with no energy to get out of my bed and I thought that trying something new might help me out. So the new blend is a herbal one and it’s a mixture of: hibiscus, orange peel, lavender, lemon balm, cloves, licorice root and stevia leaf. It’s called Sweet Nectar and it’s a guilt free beverage for those of us that have a sweet tooth :D. Plus this tisane feels like a warm hug with every sip and it could even replenish your energy.

And for the song, my choice is “Water” by Jack Garratt, an indie, electronic artist from the UK. This track is a slow one, full of electric and acoustic sounds that give a good vibe to it. And one in a while you here that piano playing and it makes everything even better, at least for me. The lyrics are simple and easy to remember and it might even give you a sense of nostalgia. That is it for today, now…

Hidden Beneath

Hey!

I woke up this morning in the best way possible but since then all I wanna do is sleep. And because of that today’s song in going to be something slow, easy to listen and for those of you still in school or college it’s going to be a track that you can study to. It’s called “Hidden Beneath” and it’s by Message To Bears, an post-rock, ambient band from the UK. No matter the mood you find yourself in this song can either elevate you or just relax you even more. Just with a few cords that seem to be on a repeating loop and even less drum kicks you can imagine yourself standing in a field of grass just looking at the sky.

As for the tea, I think that a red one might be the perfect pair of this comforting melody. My choice is going to be the Lemon Biscottea, a refreshing tea with a divine taste of fresh spring flowers and lemon. This is a wonderful blend of: rooibos, honey bush, lemon peel, lemon balm, lemongrass, jasmine flower, agrimony herb, marshmallow root and just a little more lemon. It’s a perfect beverage hot as well as cold for those warm days that are to come.

All Those Friendly People

Hello!

So… I found this song a few hours ago and since then it got stuck in my brain, especially the intro. The song it’s called “All Those Friendly People” and it’s by Funeral Suits, an alternative, indie band from Ireland. They have a love of epic, distorted guitars, burning harmonious pop, art rock and electronica and they love to share that with us. When I heard the name Funeral Suits I was expecting a gloomy, haunting even sound, however I feel their sound has more animated than I expected, and I love it.

Since the snow has settled in I thought we should drink something to celebrate that too. Plus because of its lemony taste and the energy levels this tea will raise it’s the perfect blend to go with the track. A bright, minty, lemon green tea… perfect for any season, but specially made for winter cause it’s called Sunny Snow Day. And it’s a mix of: green tea, yerba maté, lemon peel, peppermint, lemon balm, lemon & vanilla, if you want.

I Wanna Get Better

Hey you!

Sometimes the world doesn’t work like we want to and we get wrapped up in difficult situations and we starting feeling lonely and overwhelmed.  And when that happens we might get depressed but let’s not stay in that state and do something about it, cause we all fell like that sometimes. For me the next song does it. It’s a therapy song from the indie pop band Bleachers called “I Wanna Get Better”. It’s a fun and catchy with a hook that you’ll find yourself singing to it. Plus this song helped me realize something “I didn't know I was broken/ 'Till I wanted to change”, (and change I did :D). Maybe it will do the same for you.

Now comes the tea. This is a blend that its design to increase your energy, lower your stress and it will help you concentrate.  It’s a mix of:  black tea, yerba mate, cacao nibs, chicory root, lemon balm, rose petals, orange. And it’s called Focus tea. Give it a try, it might help.

Happy Pills

Hey guys!

It’s raining here so today I feel kinda sleepy but I’m giving into the mood and enjoying the rain with a hot tea that it’s called Bad Weather Aniseed and Honey. It’s a blend of: blackberry leaves, aniseed, fennel, raspberry leaves, leaves of strawberry, rose-hip, hazel leaves, marigold flowers, petals of sunflowers, plantain, rose petals, pieces of apple, danewort fruit, lemon balm and peppermint. When it’s ready you just have to add some honey to your tasting and done, the perfect tea for a bad weather.

Now for the song, I found this song a few hours ago and it got stuck there;). I’m talking about “Happy Pills” by Weathers an rock/alternative/indie band from the US.  This track is about the realization that we can’t really do anything we ever dreamed of and we get trapped in that 9 to 5 life. “But where I leave the lights on/ It’s so obvious that my life’s pretty plain” we all have to live with that and make it better.

Diamond Dreams

Hey!

I got to tell you today I woke up in a great mood and I found this tea that had me at the name. But I’ve got to say the taste is even better. It’s called Perfect World tea and it’s a blend of: blackberry leaves, chamomile flowers, lemon balm, mint, strawberry leaves, lemongrass, marigold, rose petals, lavender. Give it a taste, you might like it.

And the song, I just found it and it made my happy state even happier. I’m talking about “Diamond Dreams” by Castro a family trio from Texas. It’s a folk/pop/indie track with some beautiful lyrics and a combination of voices that made this melody shine. I even agree with some lyrics, like: “I've got dumb friends/ But man, I love them/ Cause there ain't a thing for me they wouldn't do”.

Particles

Hey, guys!

How about today we slow things down and listen to something that’s just as mesmerizing as we are? I’m suggesting “Particles” by Ólafur Arnalds featuring Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir. This song combines indie-rock sounds with the well-established neo-classic style of Ólafur Arnalds. I love everything about this track: the beautiful melody, the sweet voices and harmonious lyrics too. Please enjoy, cause I’m pretty sure that after one listen, you will feel the same.

Let’s see… I think the perfect tea for this song is something just as mellow and relaxing as it is, something like Chamomile Bloom Tea. That’s a blend of: chamomile, lemongrass, lemon balm, rose petals, lavender & marigold and some blackberries leaves.  You can even add some peppermint if you are a fan, it could make everything better.

All We Ever Know

Hello!

Here comes another day that seems to be a good one. And because of that, I’m going to show you guys a song that makes me feel good because of its rhythm. “All We Ever Know” by The Head and the Heart, an alternative indie band from Seattle. The melody has a very heavy harmony and an upbeat style that are paired with some beautiful lyrics: “I know sometimes you get so caught in a dream/ But now it's time to wake up from this”. It’s a song that has an optimistic message like it’s time to smell the roses or like stop dreaming and turn your dreams into reality (at least that’s what I get hihi)

Because this song is for one of those good days, I’m going to choose a tea that will make this an easy task for any day- Easy Day tea. That’s a blend of blackberry leaf, linden leaf and flower, peppermint, lemon balm, and marshmallow leaf. It has a smooth, slightly minty taste. This tea has a calming effect on your body, with just enough of a fruity taste, to make you want more. Plus, if you have to study, this tea will help you concentrate.

HandClap

Today I wanted another kind of tea to wake me up in the morning besides the black tea, something that would taste like happiness and I think I found it. It’s called Happy Jumble, a blend of currant fruits, mint, rose-hip, carrot flakes, lemon balm, sage, mallow, sunflower petals, mate& claw immortelles. This tea will give you energy, help you with your skin health and heart, will boost your brain power and will reduce anxiety. It’s been a great idea for this morning (and for any other morning for that matter).

I’m going to pair this tea with a melody that will make you happily want to move, something in the line of „HandClap”by Fitz And The Tantrums (an indie, funk, pop group from L.A.) This song made me actually clap my hands and put me in a very good mood. It’s a track about love and desire that you can find sang in lyrics like „You're like a drug to me, a luxury, my sugar and gold”.Isn’t that a very nice way to tell someone that you want them, need them, crave them? It’s even nicer if you’re the one they want, need or crave, amIright? Iu-hu! Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Lush Life

Good morning!

Today, like a lot of my days, I woke up with a song stuck in my head. It has a great beat that makes me want to move and dance „Doin' it all night, all summer, Doin' it the way I wanna”. If you don’t know what I’m talking about yet, I’ll give you a hint: the singer is an 18 year old girl from Sweden. Yeah, I’m talking about Zara Larsson and her single „Lush Life”. It’s a summer tune, is a fun, upbeat and somewhat electronic pop song, catchy & quite unique. Plus her voice that elevates this song to another level.

And for the tea... let’s see. I just woke up so I need something to help me leave my bed, a Get Up Tea: a blend of lemon balm, currant leaves, rose-hip, apple pieces, peppermint, hibiscus, lemon verbena leaves & cornflowers. Since there is no black tea in this one, there is no caffeine either, but there is hibiscus and peppermint which will give you the energy to start the day the right way and live it „as if it was the last”.

Stressed Out

Today I was feeling a little anxious and stressed about life and things that keep on happening without my control. Just one of those days, I guess. To get me out of this mood I started listening to this song (I’ll tell you the title in a second) and after the second repeat and a message from someone I care a lot, I instantly felt better.

The song is called "Stressed Out" and it’s by Twenty One Pilots, a duo from California. It doesn’t take long, when you listen to this one, to realize what the lyrics are saying. "Stressed Out" focuses on real life problems and the issues that we all have to face and the transition from the carefree days of childhood to the stress of being an adult. The song is a perfect balance of electronic, rock, punk, hip-hop and pop sounds.

Since this song talks about stress, problems and anxiety in general, here is a tea that will help relieve some of those feelings.

Lemon Balm or Melissa officinalis was dedicated to the goddess Diana and was used medicinally by the Greeks. The leaves have a gentle lemon scent, related to mint. The herb is used for nervous agitation, sleeping problems, menstrual cramps and urinary spas. Lemon balm is widely used to treat anxiety and insomnia. It reduces stress and that makes it perfect for this type of situation.
