Better Days

Hey guys!

Sorry for not posting yesterday but today since I have no excuse I’m going to dive right in. We’ll start with the song, one from the rock, alternative, punk Canadian band Hedley. The track is called “Better Days” and it doesn’t sound nothing like what thee usually sing, it’s more a pop, electric song, one you would here on the radio, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, I really like this tune and whenever a band or an artist changes their music to fit the new standard, it’s quite amazing, the transformation is good. This track gives you a good vibe; it’s about looking to the future and realizing that something better has yet to come. And my favorite part and lyrics of this song is: “I don't wanna waste a minute/ But if I gotta waste a minute/ I'd spend the time tryna' get my vibe on track”. That feels exactly like something I would do.

And for the tea, I have the perfect one; it’s sweet, spicy and full of flavors. It’s called Mellow Mountain and it’s an herbal blend design to give you a state of calm, relaxation and if you wanna it will put you to sleep. It’s a faultless combination of: ginger, rose-hip, fennel seed, all-spice, lavender, chamomile and licorice root. And let’s not forget, it’s perfect for sore throat, headaches and it’s a good help in the allergy season. That’s it for today…

Seashore

Hey Girls!

So today I feel like we should show the feminists in us and “rage” against the man.  And because of that I have the perfect song “Seashore”, coming from the American punk rock band The Regrettes. This track is for everyone that ever put down a woman just because of her gender or because they think someone is somehow inferior. Plus it has a nice vibe that gives you a bit of energy and I’ve got to say I love that guitar riff and drum kicks, not to loud but just enough to get the blood pumping.
And go watch the video for this track, it’s funny and powerful and it might make your day.

Now for the tea, my choice is going to be for us women, specially made of us. It’s called Women's Activity Tea Ayurvedic and it’s a special blend made from: orange peel, cinnamon, ginger, angelica root, dandelion root, cloves, juniper berries. This tea is used to combat stress, builds stamina and provides a natural sustainable energy. It has a full body aroma and a pleasant taste to go with all of those benefits.

Revolution Radio

Hey guys!

Let’s have some fun today since the weekend is right on the corner and enjoy something that will give us energy. Something like Mount Everest Special tea, this is a perfect blend of: black tea, green tea, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries. It’s fruity, full of aromas, sweet and most especially it will give you the drive to finish the day and start you weekend in full of glory.

And now for the song, my choice is “Revolution Radio” by Green Day. It’s a very dynamic punk track that just makes you wanna jump and dance to it from the first few seconds. It’s full of guitar riffs and especially loud drum kicks, which I like, that makes this track feel like it’s one of their old song but with a little more maturity. And the video is full of nostalgia showing clips of their 26 years of working and making music and it’s shot in the same club where they first played.

Ticket

Hey guys!

So today’s song is going to be “Ticket” and it’s from one of my favorite bands of all time, Beatsteaks. It’s a punk, rock, alternative band from Germania.  This track is one of the newest they’ve got and it still fits their mold. Easy lyrics, pumped up beat that just makes you wanna jump, and of course the guitars and drums having a sort of a battle for more play time. Plus it’s definitely a tune that will give you a good mood.

For the tea I’m choosing the Chai Ya! tea, because “I got a ticket to ride”  and I need to keep moving, right? This tea is a blend of the following ingredients:  Yerba Maté, black tea, ashwagandha root, eleuthero root, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and orange. You can add some vanilla to if you like but it’s not mandatory, especially for me :D

Hold On

Hey guys!

A few days ago I found this next song from the band Flor. They play a punk, indie, alternative kind of music and their new track is quite addictive. It’s been on repeat since 2 days ago and I’m still not sick of it yet. The tune is called “Hold On”, it has a happy vibe and it feels like something that should inspire hope. I especially like the part when they sing “You know that it's you the reason that I come alive come alive/ It lives in your eyes” .

And now when it comes to the tea I’m going to choose a black tea because I haven’t drunk one in a while and I’m craving one right now. Something like the Mr. Grey tea. It’s a combination of: black tea, bergamot, chocolate, sugar balls, red sprinkles and heather flowers. It’s sweet and full of flavors and just by adding a little milk it’s going to become even better.

Christmas Every Day

Hey guys!

Let’s give Christmas one more day, at let’s listen to Simple Plan’s Christmas song. It’s called “Christmas Every Day”. It has all the good cheer of the season, and will be a great addition to your holiday playlists. Plus it list’s everything you may want or could do this season. “Oh Santa Claus, if I could have my way/ I wish it was Christmas every day”, kinda wish for that too.

How about a Winter Cocktail for the tea? It’s a combination of: black tea, almond flakes, cinnamon, cloves, apple bits and some Bourbon added to the mix. This will give you energy and the warmth that you need to go outside and enjoy everything this holiday has to offer.

Sweet Disaster

Hey guys!

I found this song a few days ago and I just can’t stop listening to it. It’s edgy and it has a catchy chorus, some really good guitar riffs and drum kicks. It’s defiantly one of my favorites right now. I’m talking about “Sweet Disaster” by Dreamers, a punk, indie, electronic band from Brooklyn. The song is about how it feels to just get drunk and forget about everything, easy right? “In a river of champagne”, that sound expensive and I kinda wanna try it someday.

Now for the tea to be in the same theme, let’s have something with a little alcohol. I’m thinking of an Earl Grey Tea Cocktail. This beverage is an energy buster. It has a very mild flavor of tea with a dash of lemon, a touch of lavender and then lightly sweetened with honey simple syrup. All you need is:  Earl Grey tea, gin, honey, lemon juice and lavender. Combine them when the tea is cold and give it a try ;)

War

Hey, guys,

Have you heard that Sum 41 has come back? I didn’t enjoy their first single, “Fake My Own Death”, but I’m definitely enjoying “War”. This has the vibe of “Pieces”, that classic Sum 41 vibe that we all remember. The lyrics talk about struggling with your own demons but not losing the fight, and trying to make everything better for yourself. This is absolutely the year of comebacks for punk bands, I guess. First Blink 182, then Green Day and now Sum 41. They all dropped new songs and albums. Find your favorite one and enjoy it!

Now for the tea, I’m thinking of something sweet and refreshing, something that can calm down your mind, but also give you energy to fight your personal “war”. A Banana Apple Strawberry tea I think sounds perfect. It’s a mix of: green tea, banana chips, apple pieces, marigold flowers, pieces of strawberry and Chamomile. It has the right amount of everything to give it an absolutely amazing taste.

Bang Bang

Guys, let’s try some punk today! Let’s say some Green Day. Their new single, “Bang Bang”, is stuck on repeat here, at my house. It was an unexpected comeback, inspired by the unfortunate mass shooting in America, so they made a song actually the whole album. It’s a classic Green Day track, with limited chords used for an energetic effect, a hard punk rock sound.

Now the tea. I’m choosing a black tea to energize us and to match the beats of the song – a Cacao Mint Black Tea. That’s a mix of: black tea, cocoa pieces, coconut rasps and peppermint. It has the perfect taste to make your day go better and help you enjoy it even more.

Afraid Of Heights

Hey!
How about some alternative/punk rock today? I’m listening to “Afraid Of Heights” by Billy Talent, a band from Canada. This song has a catchy riff and a very good energy to it. It’s about following your dreams and knowing that when you get knocked down you have to get back up. And about so much more because no matter what happens “Together I know, together I know/We could conquer the stars beyond this world”.

Because of the good energy of this tune, I’m drinking something that has the same effect on me; a rooibos tea with Echinacea and some lemon just for the hack of it (actually for the taste cause its better). It has a lot of benefits, like for your immune system, skin health, energy levels, blood pressure and for whenever you feel stressed out.

Rabbit Hole

Hello!

Remember Blink 182? Guess what I found? A new track of theirs that I just love. It’s called “Rabbit Hole” and it talks about not listening to your brain sometimes. A pretty great advice if you ask me. This song had me at the first lyric “Dear head, shut up”. I need that from time to time… head just shut up! I know I haven’t done my job today, but I don’t wanna hear about it :P Let’s see… I don’t have anything else to say about this since it stills sounds so much like the Blink 182 we all know and love.

This song put me in a mood for mango, I don’t know why. But I will give in and I’m going to choose Organic Mango tea– a blend of black tea and mango, that’s it. But it has a lot of benefits, like for your blood, skin health, immune system and, of course, it’s the perfect energizer. Plus, since is so hot outside, you can always turn it into an iced tea.

Stressed Out

Today I was feeling a little anxious and stressed about life and things that keep on happening without my control. Just one of those days, I guess. To get me out of this mood I started listening to this song (I’ll tell you the title in a second) and after the second repeat and a message from someone I care a lot, I instantly felt better.

The song is called "Stressed Out" and it’s by Twenty One Pilots, a duo from California. It doesn’t take long, when you listen to this one, to realize what the lyrics are saying. "Stressed Out" focuses on real life problems and the issues that we all have to face and the transition from the carefree days of childhood to the stress of being an adult. The song is a perfect balance of electronic, rock, punk, hip-hop and pop sounds.

Since this song talks about stress, problems and anxiety in general, here is a tea that will help relieve some of those feelings.

Lemon Balm or Melissa officinalis was dedicated to the goddess Diana and was used medicinally by the Greeks. The leaves have a gentle lemon scent, related to mint. The herb is used for nervous agitation, sleeping problems, menstrual cramps and urinary spas. Lemon balm is widely used to treat anxiety and insomnia. It reduces stress and that makes it perfect for this type of situation.
