All Of The Stars

Hey, guys!

It’s that time again, when you have to help me wish a Happy Birthday to a friend of mine. And like always, it’s their choice of song and tea that today’s post will be about. Her choices make a lot of sense to me. Whenever she feels down, I imagine her listening to this song, making a cup of tea and letting all the bad things go. So let’s dive right in and get to the good part.

She chose the song “All Of The Stars” by Ed Sheeran. I think there is no need for me to talk about this artist cause we all heard of him. The song has a beautiful and graceful melody, with some lyrics that describe an elegant look on life. It’s a supposed to be a melodramatic song, but Ed somehow managed to turn it into something more meaningful. “As the skyline splits in two/ I'm miles away from seeing you/ I can see the stars”, “I wonder, do you see them, too?” These lyrics sum up the heartbreak of the track, but when the chorus comes, it changes to a positive way of looking at things: “All of these stars will guide us home”. That’s what we all want, don’t we?

As for the tea, she chose a Sour Cherry tea. I got to say it might be one of my favorites too. Sour cherries help with insomnia and improve digestion, to only mention a few of its benefits. I think this tea makes the perfect choice for this song, especially for her. It has an underappreciated taste that you’ll just end up liking. It’s calming and provides a safe space, just like her and her friendship.

Kisses and go drink your tea (and wish her a happy birthday), I’m already drinking mine.

Happy birthday, my good friend! Hope you have an amazing day! :*

Addicted

Hey, guys!

Today I’m in a certain kind of mood, one that someone maybe might feel in a French bistro I guess, and the song I’m listening to right now fits perfectly - “Addicted” by Waldeck. I’ve known this track for a long time, but it still hasn’t lost his sway for me. It’s a combination of nu jazz, trip-hop & the perfect amount of that clarinet. Plus the vocals… zeebee (Eva Egel) does a great job getting you addicted to this melody.  It’s impossible to hear this song and not swing your shoulders.

This track is sooo chill, that the perfect tea would be one with lavender - Minty Lavender tea: a blend of peppermint, lavender and blueberries. This tea has the power to energize you or even to calm you down, depending on your mood.  And it’s a great drink if you’re looking for some lovely dreams.

Heartlines

Today I’m in a mood for something sweet that I can enjoy it hot or cold, depending if the temperature outside rises (let’s hope it doesn’t). So, what do you think about Passionfruit tea? It’s a mix of black tea with passion fruit. Because of the ingredients, mainly the passion fruit, this tea is good for your eyes, can treat insomnia and reduces stress and anxiety. Plus, it will give you energy and the taste is amazing.

About this song I want to say that the first time I listened to it, it was at night, maybe 1 or 2 AM, and it was one of those moments when everything is chill and you just think about what happened thru the day, good or bad. The song is called “Heartlines” and it’s by Broods. It’s a love song with a bass that you could dance to. “I wanna feel you heartlines” it’s all I can think about when I hear this track.

Feels Like The End

Hello!
Since today’s start hasn't been that greatest for me, I’m choosing to give into this mood and just forget about it. That means I’m going to drink a calming and soothing tea, something like passionflower. It’s used for anxiety, insomnia, hysteria, palpitations, irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure. I don’t have all those problems, but I know this tea will help me with those that I do have.

I’ve known this song for a long time, ever since I was watching the TV show „White Collar” and today I heard it start out of nowhere and made perfect sense for me to match it with the tea. I’m talking about „Feels Like The End” by Shane Alexander, an indie, pop artist from L.A. This track is easy & melodic, it has very interesting lyrics that just sum up life in general. I hope you enjoy it and that it calms you down like it does the trick for me.

First Day Of My Life

Some songs get stuck on repeat and some teas you drink all the time. So this goes perfectly for today. That’s even in the name of the tea (I will tell you in a little bit what it is). I’ve sipped it in one of my favorite places which made everything just perfect.

It’s a fusion of mate, black tea, cinnamon, lemongrass, rose petals, chamomile, fennel, blackberry leaves & saffron petals and it’s called „Perfection” (what did I tell you? :D). Thanks to the black tea, the mate and blackberry will boost you, the fennel will increase your brain activity and chamomile will relieve insomnia. In addition, the cinnamon and the saffron are considered aphrodisiacs, so you know what that means, and the lemongrass and the rose petals will boost your immune system. The perfect tea for every situation with a very enjoyable taste – a bit like heaven.

And here comes the song... „First Day Of My Life” by Gnash featuring Goody Grace, another love and full of emotions melody with only an acoustic guitar and their voices that just melt together and make one pure sound. The end is what I call PERFECTION „Besides maybe this time is different, I mean I really think you like me”. What more do you need?

Stressed Out

Today I was feeling a little anxious and stressed about life and things that keep on happening without my control. Just one of those days, I guess. To get me out of this mood I started listening to this song (I’ll tell you the title in a second) and after the second repeat and a message from someone I care a lot, I instantly felt better.

The song is called "Stressed Out" and it’s by Twenty One Pilots, a duo from California. It doesn’t take long, when you listen to this one, to realize what the lyrics are saying. "Stressed Out" focuses on real life problems and the issues that we all have to face and the transition from the carefree days of childhood to the stress of being an adult. The song is a perfect balance of electronic, rock, punk, hip-hop and pop sounds.

Since this song talks about stress, problems and anxiety in general, here is a tea that will help relieve some of those feelings.

Lemon Balm or Melissa officinalis was dedicated to the goddess Diana and was used medicinally by the Greeks. The leaves have a gentle lemon scent, related to mint. The herb is used for nervous agitation, sleeping problems, menstrual cramps and urinary spas. Lemon balm is widely used to treat anxiety and insomnia. It reduces stress and that makes it perfect for this type of situation.
