So Good

Hey, guys!

I’m in a very good mood today, drinking one of my favorite teas – a Wild Cherry tea –, and just enjoying life. This tea is a blend of black tea (I used Darjeeling black tea) and pieces of cherries. With a little bit of cream or, if it’s too hot outside for you, some ice and you’re good to go.

I’ve known this song for a long time and it’s still one of my favorite tunes to keep me in the best mood or to get me out there. I’m talking about “So Good” by B.o.B., a catchy song with a very upbeat beat and some cute lyrics: “I’ll be Da Vinci if you’ll be my Mona Lisa / So smile, and pack your bags real good, baby / Cause you’ll be gone for a while.” That’s my favorite verse, it makes me smile a lot.

Don’t You Worry ‘bout A Thing

Hey!

So today I’m in the mood for some funk. And for that, the perfect artist to listen to is Stevie Wonder, am I right? One of my favorite songs of his is “Don’t You Worry ‘bout A Thing” which starts with a piano and a Latino intro that says "Todo 'stá bien chévere", which ruffle translates to "Everything's really good”. This is a great song to keep you in an even greater mood.

The tea… right now I’m drinking a green tea for some energy and also for the feeling of a perfect day. But of course I didn’t make it simple; I’ve mixed it with some apple pieces and rose-hip for a better taste and more benefits.

Sucker For Pain

Who else is eagerly waiting for the release of the movie “Suicide Squad”? I know I am. And because of that, I might have started liking one of the soundtracks. I’m talking about “Sucker for Pain” by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Logic and Ty Dolla $ign, plus Imagine Dragons and X Ambassadors (some indie rock groups to go with all those rappers). I’m not sure I like the entire song but I definitely like the chorus: “I wanna chain you up/I wanna tie you down/I'm just a sucker for pain”. This seems like something that the Joker would sing :P

For the tea I’m thinking about something that could fit the track. How about Blood Orange tea? It’s a mix of lapacho, orange pieces & orange peel. This tea has a lot of benefits for your immune system, skin health, blood pressure, bone & teeth health and it has the perfect color to go with it. And you can even turn it into an ice tea just by adding some ice.

Wild

Hey, guys!

I’ve been a fan of Troye Sivan ever since he started on YouTube, but his new song keeps playing on repeat in my head. I’m talking about “Wild”, the new version where the tempo is slightly speeded up and he is accompanied by Alessia Cara. Their voices seem to melt together. And by the way, she wrote her own lyrics that fit the theme of the song perfectly. That makes this song even better in my book.

Since this track has a faster peace, I think the tea should also give you a boost, and for that the Minty Mate is the perfect choice. That’s a blend of green mate, lemongrass and, of course, peppermint. This will help with your blood pressure, skin health, stress, immune system and it’s an aid in weight loss. Enjoy it!

I Am A Nightmare

Today is another one of those days when I’m not quite sad, but not happy either. It’s somehow the perfect balance of both, so I’m drinking some EterniTEA Green (clever name hmm). That’s a mix of green tea, rosemary, sage, rose petals and safflowers, with a lemon twist. This tea will help you live life at your full potential or at least that’s what you will feel because of those many flavors.

The song: “I Am A Nightmare” by Brand New, an alternative rock band from New York. I found this one today and it’s been on repeat ever since. The guitar & the drums bury the vocals that are repeating “I am a nightmare and you are a miracle”, but my favorite part is the one that says “Please don’t replace me/ I surrender, embrace me”. It makes a lot of sense to me.

Mountain Language

Hey, guys!

Today a found a new post-rock band that I kinda love. It’s called Flies are Spies from Hell. I listened to a lot of their songs, but this one stuck with me: “Mountain Language”. This might be because of the piano playing from the start to finish, or because it’s just a great song. The drums kicking and the bass playing make this track even better, especially in the second minute and a half. That’s when everything comes together and builds up into the perfect ending.

The tea should be something that keeps you awake to enjoy the perfect day, like the one I’m having today. For that, I think a Tea With Ginseng is the perfect idea. It’s a combination of black tea with ginseng & lemon, and it tastes amazing. It will energize you and put you in any kind of mood you might need in any certain day.

Female Robbery

“I think I found hell” it’s the first lyric to “Female Robbery” by The Neighborhood, and that’s all I needed to get hooked on to this song, some time ago. It’s an alternative rock track, with a relaxing but somehow weird vibe, and that’s one that I can definitely share with you. I love this song and I hope you’re going to like it too, and maybe by the end of it you are going to say “I think I found love”.

Since this song relaxes me, I’m drinking a tea to fit my mood. Something meant for those days you just feel like staying in bed and doing nothing: a Lazy Daze tea. That’s a chamomile, kava kava, cat nip, lemongrass, peppermint & spearmint with oatstraw blend. A tea that will help you slip into some calming and relaxing moments when you need to.

Something To Believe In

What’s up guys? I’ll tell you what. The sky :P (not the best joke, is it? But at least I’m having fun)

We’re going to dive right in. Today’s song is “Something To Believe In” by Young The Giant, an indie-rock, alternative-rock band from California. This track helped me get things done today, and I wanted to share it with you cause maybe, the drums, the guitar & bass riff, and not to mention the vocals, will motivate you too. “Realize you’re a slave to your mind, break free” it’s all I can hear now. 

Because this track is sending me all the right kinds of energy, I’m drinking a tea that will enhance that, a bend of black & green tea with grapefruit, pink peppercorns, carrot peel, orange peel, lemon grass and pomelo slices. A Hidden Treasure Green tea (its name), it’s full of flavors and the perfect morning brew, in my opinion. Enjoy!

Tears

Hey!

So today I’m in the mood for chocolate again, I wonder way… and I’m thinking of something that has just a little pinch of that in it. So ladies and gentlemen, I give you Chili Truffle tea, a mix of black tea, chocolate with cacao bits, chili flakes & bits. Trust me, it’s amazing. Plus, it will give you the energy you need to get thru the day, no matter what that may bring you.

Now the song. How about “Tears” by Clean Bandit featuring Louisa Johnson? This track is full of emotions and it’s the perfect break-up anthem, if you need one. The vocals are powerful and just wow (no wonder she won the X-Factor) and the instrumental is just as amazing. The violin, the cello and the piano, in combination with that electro beat: perfect!!! “This tears will get me through /And I’ll get over you” An awesome song, indeed. No wonder it makes me think of chocolate.

Lost On You

Hey, guys!

Today I found this next song. It’s called “Lost On You” and it’s by LP. It’s been on replay from the first play because I think the track in amazing and the artist’s voice just magical – a bit husky – and makes the melody even better. The lyrics a just the right amount of sad, but perfect nonetheless: “Tell me that you love me more than hate me all the time/ Are you still mine”. That seems to be the one that does it for me, maybe because we all, even myself, feel that way sometimes

Since I imagine listening to this song over a glass of wine with a certain someone, and since I’m alone at this moment and not in the mood for wine, I’m going to choose a tea that will deliver me a hint of that moment: a White Grape White Tea. That’s a blend of white tea, rose-hip, black currants, mallow blossoms, cornflower blossoms & the fresh juice of some white grapes. It’s definitely an afternoon tea and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.
