Same Old Love

Hey, guys!

Who is a fan of Selena Gomez? I’m not really one, but I can enjoy her songs, like the electronic-pop song „Same Old Love”. This one received generally positive reviews from music critics who complimented its catchy tune and understated moody sound. The lyrics talk about various stages of different relationships and about getting rid of everything toxic in your life.

Old Love Tea, doesn’t that sound good? It's a blend of hibiscus, rose-hip peel, apple, elderberries, blackberry leaves, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries. This mix will boost your energy levels with its great taste and will make you feel like being in a state of heaven. For me, this choice is not about the similarity of the names, is more about the feeling it gives you.

Stars Above The Cave

Today was one of those spring mornings, with the beautiful sunlight coming thru the windows and the sound of birds singing. And right then I thought of the ideal tea to help me celebrate this moment – Spring Morning Tea: a blend of green tea, ginger, licorice root granulated, lemon peel, hibiscus, pepper, pieces of verbena and jasmine flowers. It's a perfect mixture of tastes and just the right thing for a calm morning with happy feelings.

This next song I found by mistake. I stopped to listen to it because I thought the name of the band is cute, but from the first few seconds I knew I could not put it on pause. „Stars Above The Cave” by Anatomy Of The Bear (wasn’t I right? just an awesome name!), a post-rock band from the UK. This track chills me and when I think about any problems I may have, it relaxes me. That makes it quite a splendid choice for a pure morning in my book. Soo... do you „like bears? like chilled music? come and put your feet up and have a cup of tea with bear ^_^”

Encoder

Hey, guys!

Last night I was in a taxi and this song was playing and it reminded me of my teenage years. I used to listen to this band a lot. I’m talking about Pendulum, a drum & bass band from Australia. And the song I’m referring to is „Encoder”. This is quite the track for me, now that I’m listening to it again, not only the beat but also the lyrics, like „For everything that could have been, Well at least we took the ride”, make perfect sense when something is about to end, don’t you think?

As for the tea, I believe that something tropical will go nicely with this song... something that stirs in you the feeling of wanting more when things are on the brink of ending, something like Passion Tango Tea. This is a blend of mango, papaya, hibiscus, lemongrass, apple & cinnamon. It’s a harmonious pairing of tropical taste that bathes you in pure bliss. And because of all its ingredients, it has many benefits for your health as well. Add some ice and turn it into an iced tea, trust me!

English Girls

Hello!

This is a song that I just adore: „English Girls” by The Maine, a pop-rock band from Arizona. It’s a carefree tune that has a kind of energy that just radiates through it. It’s quite the catchy tune this one that makes me wanna jump and just have a good time, travel, have fun and just enjoy life in every way possible.  The lyrics are full of sexual insinuations and a weird sort of disquiet. The lyric I love the most and that makes me think of all sort of things is „Pins her against the wall”. It just sounds sexy :P

For the tea (it's going to be easy since it’s such an inviting track) I’m going to choose something that will make you wanna try the motion of the ocean :P Something like Cinnamon/Liquorice Root Mint Organic Spice Blend: a bend of cinnamon, licorice root, peppermint & raisins. The most impeccable idea to go with the song. It will give you the energy to do anything you put your mind to.

King For A Day

Hey!
So today I tried a tea just for its name – Dragonfly Song tea. How lovely does that sound? It’s a mix of lemon, mint & spearmint leaves that has a few benefits for your health like: helps your immune system, improves your skin health and, especially, gives you a bit of energy and helps you with your mood if you feel a little down.

It should go well with the next song, a song that I love, by the way. I even shared it with one of my favorite people right when I found it, a few years ago, and she loved it instantly. I’m talking about „King For A Day” by Pierce The Veil featuring Kellin Quinn. It’s a post-hardcore, screamo track that’s about getting pushed passed the breaking point and the fact that sometimes there are too many things going thrugh your mind. But like the tea, it will raise your mood, pump you up and enliven you with energy. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Figure It Out

Today I was scrolling down on my Facebook page and there was a 9gag video in which A-YEON was doing a drum cover of the next song. I fell in love with it immediately.

It’s „Figure It Out” by Royal Blood, an alternative rock band from the UK. This track gave me the energy I needed to actually start my day, even though is 11am. I think it’s the perfect jam, with only the bass and drums, that just makes you wanna dance or go to a rock concert to express your mood. And then „I broke my shoe, tripped and fell on you, But you didn't know I planned it out”. So let’s thank 9gag and that Korean girl for showing me this song.

I’m choosing a tea that I haven’t talked about yet. It’s called pu-erh and is made from the Camellia sinensis plant. Like all the teas made from this plant, pu-erh will give you energy thanks to the caffeine it contains. But since it’s the first time with this tea, I’m gonna make it a little bit more special ;) How about a Chocolate Pu-erh tea? It is a blend of pu-erh tea, cinnamon, mini chocolate chips & orange peel, which means that it has more benefits besides the energy, it improves your immune system, has anti-ageing proprieties and, because of the cinnamon, you will maybe want to try the motion of the ocean after drinking it :D

(Girl We Got A) Good Thing

Hey, guys!

This month Weezer dropped a new album and I found a few songs on it that I love. I’m not going to write about all of them today but just one – „(Girl We Got A) Good Thing”. I fell in love with it from the first chords and I’m still listening to it, loving it even more. It’s a happy, go with the flow song that’s in perfect balance with the summer vibe. And those lyrics that make you feel so good! „Do you want to fly?” is my favorite. And when „Do you want to face the great unknown?” lyric comes along and changes your mood, it makes the ideal way for you to wanna start something new.

So let’s keep this feeling going and drink a tea full of the same emotions! How about Star Dust tea? It's a mix of black tea, buckwheat baked, caramelized almonds, ground almonds, white petals cornflowers. I’m not a big fan of almonds or a fan at all, but in this tea, somehow, I don’t have a problem with them. Maybe it's because some of them are caramelized and that just gives it a splendid punch of sweetness. Yummy!

We Don’t Have To Dance

Good day, guys! How’s it going for you today? I’m pretty great, a little bit obsessed with the next song so I’ll start right away.

„We Don’t Have To Dance” that is what it is called and it’s by Andy Black (the lead singer of Black Veil Brides). When you listen to this song you are going to be amazed at the talent of this rock-star.  It’s a powerful track and Andy’s voice is exactly what this song needs. It’s even been labeled as the best thing that happened to the music industry this year so far.

Since this song is so powerful I’m going to choose another kind of tea, one with a little rum flavor in it :D. It’s called „Mojito”. It’s a mix of rooibos, lime, mint and, of course, rum flavor. Rooibos doesn't contain caffeine, but will boost your energy just like lime and mint will help your memory (for you to remember this song and its lyrics, of course :P )

Ex’s & Oh’s

Hey, guys!

We all have a problem with our Exs, right? So here is Elle King that sings about them in a cute and indie way in her single „Ex’s & Oh’s”. It’s a track that blends pieces of alternative rock, blues rock & Southern rock. This song has been described as an attractive sound that makes you want to hear it again and again. It gives you a happy, warm feeling and puts your body in motion. No wonder it received two Grammy Nominations.

Since this song is warm, let’s have a tea that does the same to you. The Good Feeling tea is a blend of apples, hibiscus, black currant, orange peel, rose petals, papaya, pineapple, strawberries & raspberries. Hibiscus gives you a bit of energy, is used for hypertension, like orange & pineapple as well, papaya, strawberries & apple help your immune system and black currant & rose petals give you a better skin health. Great from any point of view. This tea keeps you in the same mood as the song, hope you like them as much as I do.

Secret Heart

Hello, guys! Isn’t it a great day? It is for me :P

This morning I was talking with one of my favorite people in the world and without realizing, I started singing this song. It’s called „Secret Heart” by Feist, a cover from Ron Sexsmith. I like this version better because it’s a little more calming and not that sad :D Plus, her voice… I just love it. „Secret Heart” has a splendid melodic line and the lyrical insight into fearful love is profound. Feist and her lovely spirit transform this song into something else.

Because this song is special, for me at least, I’m going to choose a tea that does the same thing to me as the song does. This tea is called „Tea for the lucky ones”. Good name, right? It’s a blend of black & green tea with sunflower petals, rose petals, cornflowers and sugar flakes. It’s a marvelous taste and it has the perfect aroma to blend with this song.

Kisses and Go dink your tea, I’m already drinking mine.

Feels Like The End

Hello!
Since today’s start hasn't been that greatest for me, I’m choosing to give into this mood and just forget about it. That means I’m going to drink a calming and soothing tea, something like passionflower. It’s used for anxiety, insomnia, hysteria, palpitations, irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure. I don’t have all those problems, but I know this tea will help me with those that I do have.

I’ve known this song for a long time, ever since I was watching the TV show „White Collar” and today I heard it start out of nowhere and made perfect sense for me to match it with the tea. I’m talking about „Feels Like The End” by Shane Alexander, an indie, pop artist from L.A. This track is easy & melodic, it has very interesting lyrics that just sum up life in general. I hope you enjoy it and that it calms you down like it does the trick for me.

Never Be Like You

Hey, guys!

I just found a great tea that has an even greater name – Magic Moon. It’s a blend of green & black tea with papaya, rose-hip peel & sunflower blossoms. Thanks to the black & green tea, this will energize you and since there are other ingredients within, the benefits are even greater. Rose-hip has a lot of vitamin C, perfect for when you have a cold and you can’t pull a Barney Stinson J (I hope you remember his classic remark “whenever I start feeling sick, I just stop being sick and be awesome instead”.) Sunflower improves cellular damage and strengthens your bones. And then, there is papaya, the fruit of angels that is perfect for skin care.
This tea has it all: the ingredients, the taste, the benefits and the perfect name. That is why when I found it I knew exactly what the perfect song for it was.

„Never Be Like You” by Flume featuring Kai. It’s a song that balances the smooth voice of the Canadian singer Kai and the trap sound of Flume. While Kai is asking for forgiveness in the lyrics, the spatial ambient noise and the bass elements going hard and soft at the same time make them the perfect combination. This song will definitely give you a good start for the day and when you drink this tea you will feel the ideal blend of emotions.

Running

Today is another special day. I’m doing this combination for a friend. It’s going to be some kind of birthday present, a small one. So it might not be what I would normally choose, but she likes them so I’m going to try.

The song is „Running” by No Doubt. It’s not my favorite track of theirs, but it’s a pretty good one. It’s a melody that kinda makes you feel like you can fly and be a superhero, and the lyrics sang by Gwen also helps with that. They will make you wanna be a hero for the person you like, or even love, and that is exactly what you should want to be, right? It’s a track that gave me goose bumps the first time I heard it.

Now let’s see the tea... this is the difficult part. Her favorite is Amaretto Black Tea (definitely not mine). It’s a mix of black tea with almonds and chocolate, it has a soft but strong taste and sometimes, because of the chocolate, it’s just the perfect pinch of everything. About the almonds, I have nothing to say... I just don’t like them. Hehe,  I think I just did say everything about them though.

Kisses and Go drink your tea, I’m already drinking mine (even if it has almonds).

Happy birthday new friend!

Cure

Hello, everyone! How has your day been so far? Mine’s pretty great. I’ve been singing the same song for the past 2 or 3 days, I love it and I want to share it with you.

This tune is called „Cure” and it’s by Barcelona. It starts very slow, but then it gets faster and that means better(at least for me). It really doesn't have a complicated sound, but the lyrics are quite moving(„Take away all my sin”) and, of course, a little kinky when it goes like this: „Put your hands on my chest, I’ll make you feel like you’ve been blessed”. I am right? Altogether,it’s a song that I just adore.

Now let’s see the tea... I’m thinking of a green tea in combination with some fruits. And because this song deserves something a bit sweet, something like blueberries – Enchanted Berry – sounds good enough. It’s a mix of green tea (that will give you some energy), raspberries (they boost your immune system and are rich in vitamin A)and of course blueberries (which improve your memory, are low in fat and rich in magnesium and vitamin C). Per-fect! Plus, all of them combined have a great taste that will bless you for the entire day. It’s the “Cure” that you need every day.

Kisses and Go drink your tea, I’m already drinking mine.

State Of My Head

I’ve tried today a new kind of green tea that I want to share with you, guys – Genmaicha Green Tea, occasionally called "Popcorn" tea. It’s a modern-day favorite, a playful & healthy drink, delectable and fun. This tea has slightly toasted brown rice blended with Sencha green tea. The rice mellows this tea to a spirited, yet smooth & easy to drink beverage. The green tea does the same thing to you, it energizes you, but also gives you a calm State Of…Head.

And the song is ... drum roll ... „State Of My Head” by Shinedown, a hard-rock band from Florida. This track was built around its rhythm, inspired by the bounce and the way the song moves and it resulted in a kind of mess, not a bad one, though. The song makes me jump and also keeps me centered and I think that’s perfect. In combination with the tea, this song gives me energy to see what I’m supposed to do with that state of mind.

Make Me Like You

As the winter is leaving and the heat is finally coming, I think it should be celebrated with an ice tea and an upbeat track that will keep you in a magnificent mood all day, or something like that.

I imagine that everybody knows who Gwen Stefani is so there is no reason for me to say more, right? The song that I’ll be referring to today is called „Make Me Like You” and is exactly that kind of song that gets stuck in your head because it’s happy, has easy & cute lyrics and a beat that makes you wanna dance & just have a good time. Plus, if you are in the same state of mind like I am right now, you will relate with what Gwen is singing from start to finish... „Why'd you have to go and make me like you?”:P . I’m definitely going to sing it all day thinking about someone :).

Ice Tea... perfect to beat the heat or just perfect in general. How about black currant ice tea?Doesn't that sound delicious? Thanks to the black tea that’s in it, this tea will give you the energy to enjoy the song to the fullest and the black currant will make your skin look better and healthier because of its anti-ageing proprieties. Splendid ;). I’m going to give you the best recipe for this ice tea. All you need is:

2 Tbsp black tea
4 cups (1L) cold water
1/4 cup (60 ml) honey
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp black currant juice (not from concentrate)
Fresh mint leaves, if you like.

Boil the water. In a large teapot, add the black tea, pour the boiled water over the top and let it steep for at least 5 to 10 minutes. (I prefer a stronger tea flavor for this drink, so I let the tea steep for 10 minutes.)
When the tea is at your preferred strength, take the black tea out. Pour the tea into a large measuring cup that will hold at least 5 cups(1.25 L) of hot liquid. Add honey and stir until dissolved. Add black currant juice and store covered in the fridge. Add ice into glasses and pour in the tea; garnish with fresh mint leaves.

The Sound Of Silence

Let’s calm things down for a change. For that, I’m not going to talk about stuff that will pump you up today, neither the song nor the tea is about that. Instead they will be mellower. I’m thinking about:

„The Sound Of Silence” by Disturbed – a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's song. Because of David Michael Draiman (the lead singer) this is quite a hunting track, but the melody, the piano playing slowly and the guitar making the occasionally sound makes this a calming song that just goes thru you, but a track that you can enjoy nevertheless.

Like I was saying before, I’m going for a mellow feeling today, so a Tranquility tea is perfect. This a combination of chamomile blossoms, peppermint leaves & rose-hip peels. Chamomile calms the nerves, helps with insomnia and improves your immune system, peppermint helps with nausea, sinus infections & rose hip gives you a better skin thanks to its anti-ageing proprieties. This tea and song blended together should make for the perfect laid-back feeling that we all need from time to time.

Kisses and Go drink your tea, I’m already drinking mine.

First Day Of My Life

Some songs get stuck on repeat and some teas you drink all the time. So this goes perfectly for today. That’s even in the name of the tea (I will tell you in a little bit what it is). I’ve sipped it in one of my favorite places which made everything just perfect.

It’s a fusion of mate, black tea, cinnamon, lemongrass, rose petals, chamomile, fennel, blackberry leaves & saffron petals and it’s called „Perfection” (what did I tell you? :D). Thanks to the black tea, the mate and blackberry will boost you, the fennel will increase your brain activity and chamomile will relieve insomnia. In addition, the cinnamon and the saffron are considered aphrodisiacs, so you know what that means, and the lemongrass and the rose petals will boost your immune system. The perfect tea for every situation with a very enjoyable taste – a bit like heaven.

And here comes the song... „First Day Of My Life” by Gnash featuring Goody Grace, another love and full of emotions melody with only an acoustic guitar and their voices that just melt together and make one pure sound. The end is what I call PERFECTION „Besides maybe this time is different, I mean I really think you like me”. What more do you need?

Kisses and Go drink your tea, I’m already drinking mine.

Sorry

Today I was feeling in need of a good work out, too much energy wasted on stupid things... and so I thought this is something I should talk about. A lot of people want to lose weight and it seems like a good idea for me to help you with that.

This is a tea especially created for this. It’s called „Lose It” and is a blend of green tea with blackberry leaves, aniseed, fennel & green mate. All the plants and herbs of this tea are known for their aid in weight managing and for their digestive benefits. And don’t worry, it even has a good taste.

The song is „Sorry” by Justin Bieber (I’m not I Belieber, trust me, but I think I can appreciate a good song). This track is produced by Skrillex which means it has a beat that puts you to work and that is what you need if you want to improve your health and body imagine. It’s a cold fusion of pop songs, a track that will keep you moving even after the sun goes down. Perfect, right? ;).

Kisses and Go drink your tea (and work out), I’m already drinking mine (and dancing cause I can’t stop).

Follow You

Being excited about the Electric Castle Festival, that will take place this summer, here, in Romania, I started listening to the bands that are coming and especially to those that I want to go to the festival for. One of the bands that I want to see the most, that’s also the headliner, is Bring Me The Horizon. They have a song that I didn’t like that much at first because it’s not exactly what I was expecting from them (I think they’ve changed styles), but when I listened to it the second time, I realized that I’m enjoying it. I think I like it because I can relate to it so much.

The song I’m talking about is called „Follow You”. It’s a love song with the hook „I will follow you, because I’m under your spell” and „I'll be your gravity, you be my oxygen” which is my favorite lyric, by the way. It’s a very poetic track with a good and interesting blend of lyrics, melody and, of course, the lead singer’s (Oliver Sykes)voice that just brings everything together.

Since this song is some kind of love declaration to someone, the perfect tea should be the same. That’s why I’m choosing a tea more for the name than for anything else, even though they are all in sink. The name of the tea is „Romeo & Juliet”. It’s a blend of rooibos, apple pieces, cinnamon, cocoa peel & peppermint – the perfect taste for the perfect song.

Kisses and Go drink your tea, I’m already drinking mine.

Geronimo

Today I was feeling nervous about a trip I have to take soon, so I started looking up songs that would lift my spirits and I found this.

„Geronimo” by Sheppard, a band from Australia, it’s exactly what I needed to get out of my unusual mood. The song has a folksy upbeat feel and it will make you smile from the first note. The lyrics are pretty simple and catchy, and it’s what you need so „We can make this leap”. But the thing I love the most is the song’s title – „Geronimo”. I think that says it all. Plus it reminds me of Matt Smith playing the Eleventh Doctor (my favorite Doctor) in the British TV show „Doctor Who”. Perfect!

Since this track reminds me of the UK, I’m definitely choosing my favorite tea - the English breakfast. It’s a classic black tea blend made from Assam, Ceylon and Kenyan teas, and it's commonly served with milk or with lemon and sugar. As all black teas, English breakfast is high in antioxidants and has other health benefits including: increases mental stimulation and reduces the risk of heart disease. It’s the best energy boost that you need in your life at any given time.

Wonderland

Today I'm going to annoy one of my friends. Not on purpose, but I love this song and I like the artist, too. Hope she’ll not get that angry and still read all thru the post, even when she sees what I’m talking about. Maybe I should start with the tea first :D.

Kava is a plant native to the South Pacific. The root is used for medicine purposes. Kava tea is used to calm anxiety and stress and to treat insomnia. It is also used for epilepsy, psychosis and depression problems, migraines, common colds and respiratory tract infections, tuberculosis, muscle pain and for cancer prevention. I think it will go perfectly with the song and even better, it will work wonders on my friend after reading the next part.

I have to say that I like Taylor Swift. I like her voice and a lot of her songs. That is why I chose this song - „Wonderland”. Filled with allusions to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this track finds two lovers tumbling down the rabbit hole. The lyric I love the most is „Didn't you calm my fears with a Cheshire cat smile?” The song isn’t the happiest, but I like it and I think it will work very well with the tea because it has a calming, soothing effect of the body and mind. At least this is what it does for me. Unfortunately you can't find the original version of the song on YouTube, but you can definitely find it on her album "1989".

Kisses and Go drink your tea, I’m already drinking mine.

Tea Rituals

We’ve all heard of the 5 o’clock tea, the famous British tradition about the afternoon tea, but there are many other ones in the world. For example:

In Morocco it is impossible to spend 24 hours and not to be served hot tea. Touaregtea, or Moroccan mint tea is the heart of their culture, strongly linked to the act of hospitality. The tea is served to guests three times and each time it means a different thing: Life, Love or Death. Of course, all of them have to be drunk.

India produces and consumes more tea than any other country in the world. Chai is the national drink and it is served on every street corner. If you ever get invited to an Indian, prepare yourself to taste a sweet and a bit spiced milk-tea.

For Chinese people, tea is synonym to life. They were the first to discover the tea leaf and have been drinking tea ever since. The art of making tea is called “Cha dao”, which was soon accepted as one of the most important traditions that Japan learned from China.

In Japan tea is an important part of the food culture. The ceremony of tea is known here as matcha, which consists of serving green tea to a small group of people in one of those popular teahouses.

There are two things that Russians love the most: vodka and tea. Today, most Russians enjoy what they call Zavarka, a strong tea prepared in a separate tea pot that allows hosts to serve the guests in several rounds.

People often say that if you want to know Argentine well, you need to try its meat, its wine and its mate. Yerba mate is the national drink of one of the most amazing countries in South America. Even though it’s not really tea, whoever travels to this country will find out that people drink it at any time of the day.

For guests across Pakistan, tea is a common drink. An element of Kashmiri culture, Noon Chai is a special blend of tea that includes a mix of pistachios, almonds, salt, milk and spices like cardamom, cinnamon and star anise. Noon Chai is typically enjoyed with pastries. More casually enjoyed is "DoodhPati," or milk tea, which involves no water.
