Call On Me

Hey you!

Today I’m going to start with the tea and share with you a personal blend that I drink for time to time and one that I share with one of my favorite people in the world. I’ve named Pretty Red & Black and it’s a mix of: rooibos & black tea with rosebuds, petals of peonies, roses, daisies, strawberries, raspberries. I really love this taste, it’s sweet, flowery and it will keep you energized for a few hours.

As for the song I’m choosing “Call On Me” by Starley a dance/ pop artist from Australia. I feel in love with this track from the first listen. It starts simple with just an acoustic guitar and her voice and after that it graduates to an EDM sound. It has some really cute lyrics; they talk about how she would do anything for the person she loves if they call for some help. “When you're weary/ And the road is dark/ And I'll guide you” & “When you're, you need someone (Just call on me)/ You need somebody to cling to (Call on me)” this are definitely my favorite parts if the song.

Stop The World Cause I Want To Get Off With You

Hey you!

So a few days ago one of my favorite people in the world showed me this song and I just feel in love with it. I’m talking about Arctic Monkeys’ „Stop The World Cause I Want To Get Off With You”. This track has a certain something to it that makes it easy to listen and remember. It gives me a good feeling and makes me smile (it might be more about the person that sent me this tune). Plus it has one if my favorite lyric that I really relate with it; “Well I know that getting you alone isn't easy to do/ With the exception of you I dislike everyone in the room”.

Now for the tea, I’m really in the mood for a red one with some chocolate in it. So my choice is the Chocolate Chai witch is a combination of: rooibos, chocolate bits, cacao bits, ginger, cinnamon, chicory root, barley malt, cinnamon sticks, cardamom and black pepper. It’s a little spice and it has a lot of flavors that some of you might adore.

Worst In Me

Hey guys!

Today I’m drinking a red tea, something that most everyone might find interesting. It’s called Mango Grapefruit and it’s a blend of: green rooibos, carrot flakes, cat's claw flowers, lemongrass, blue marshmallow flowers, lapacho, mango and grapefruit. It has a lot of ingredients and that will make the taste richer. You can drink it with a little honey and milk.

Now for the song my choose is “Worst In Me” by Unlike Pluto. This song is a combination of indie rock, EDM, dance and a little bit of raping. And to tell you the truth this is a very welcomed addition to my playlist. It’s dynamic and has a certain allure to it, catchy lyrics and the beats, guitars, drops and drums is amazing. Plus Pluto’s vocal brings everything together with a beautiful delivery.

Something Just Like This

Hey you!

So the new single of The Chainsmokers featuring Coldplay just came out and it’s amazing, at least for me. It’s called “Something Just Like This” and it’s the perfect combination of Coldplay’s “A Sky Full Of Stars” and of The Chainsmokers’s “Closer”.  The EDM duo manage to do a perfect job of mixing all the beats with the guitars & drums and then letting Chris Martin take the charge and deliver some heartwarming lyrics. My favorite ones have to be in the pre-chorus, the ones that go like this: “I'm not looking for somebody/ With some superhuman gifts” and then ending with this “Just something I can turn to/ Somebody I can kiss” or “Somebody I can miss” depending on your mood.

As for the tea I’m choosing a herbal one that might help you open your soul to some new energy. It’s called Solar Plexus Chakra Tea and it’s supposed to give you a sense of greatness and confidence because the solar plexus chakra is the center of emotions and self-control. Now this tea blend is made of: rosemary, lemongrass, ginger, orange peel and marshmallow leaf. It has a great taste and smooth and it will give you the energy you might need.

Ticket

Hey guys!

So today’s song is going to be “Ticket” and it’s from one of my favorite bands of all time, Beatsteaks. It’s a punk, rock, alternative band from Germania.  This track is one of the newest they’ve got and it still fits their mold. Easy lyrics, pumped up beat that just makes you wanna jump, and of course the guitars and drums having a sort of a battle for more play time. Plus it’s definitely a tune that will give you a good mood.

For the tea I’m choosing the Chai Ya! tea, because “I got a ticket to ride”  and I need to keep moving, right? This tea is a blend of the following ingredients:  Yerba Maté, black tea, ashwagandha root, eleuthero root, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and orange. You can add some vanilla to if you like but it’s not mandatory, especially for me :D

World

Hey guys!

Are you in the mood for some future bass? Cause I am, and this track makes me feel good and really appreciate those drops and beats. The song is called “World” and it’s by Kicks N Licks, from San Diego, featuring RULS. This tune has the classic build up, and exactly at the chorus when you hear “on top of the world” for the first time you get a bass heavy drop. After that it’s going to slow down, fallow RULS’s voice bring a second drop and end with a melodic outro. It might be following the classic outline of every trap song but I still enjoy this every much.

And now for the tea I’m kinda craving some green tea, something with lemon.  I’ve search my tea database and I found the perfect one for this cravings. It’s called Lemon Cream With Ginseng and it’s exactly what sounds like, a green tea with lemon and ginseng; plus lemongrass and sunflower petals. Enjoy!

Issues

Hey you!

This song I found today and I just feel in love with it from the first listen. It’s a confessional track that has the perfect beat and vibe to be a love song. It’s called “Issues” and it’s by Julia Micheals a young songwriter with a lot of hits under her belt (just Google her you will see). Her voice combined with all the perfect lyrics that somehow make perfect sense even thou I don’t relate with all of them. But there are a few that I just adore. The one that I just adore is in the chorus actually at the end of it: “Yeah, I got issues/ And one of them is how bad I need you”. And to tell you the truth with every listen I just adore this melody more. Hope you like it.

As for the tea I think a found the perfect one to pair it with this track. It’s called Salted Dark Chocolate and it’s a combination of: black tea, green tea, cocoa beans and powder, bits of chocolate, apple, barley and a little bit of sea salt. You can add a little vanilla to it if you like, that could make it better for some of you. It’s a very aromatic and full a flavor tea and it you try it once you might never let this blend go.

Honey Sweet

Today’s track it’s going to be “Honey Sweet” by Blossoms, an indie band from the UK. This track has a 80’s vibe to it; it’s like all those romantic pop track that play on the radio whenever it’s an homage to that era. It’s calm and feels like a good song to listen this day. Plus there are some cute lyrics mixed in with all the ‘incomplete’ ones, I especially like the course. “No more nights alone, so cold/ Let's go back to sweet, honey sweet” that is my favorite.  

Now for the tea, I’m choosing one just for its name. It’s called Cloud Catcher and it’s a combination of: apple pieces freeze dried kiwi, sour cherries, freeze dried cranberry slices & coconut flakes. Because of all of the ingredients this tea will definitely brighten out your day.

South

Hello!

Today even thou I woke up, did my morning routine and started working I still feel a little sleepy so I decided to drink some green tea, something with fruits and a tea that will make me enjoy today even more. This tea is a blend of: green tea, Honeybush, raspberries, safflower, corn flowers, grapes and its called Royal tea.

As for the song I am going to choose “South” by Hippo Campus, an indie, pop band from Minnesota. This track has a summery vibe; it’s easy, cheerful and infections. I’ve been listening to it since I woke up. It has this repetition to it that just makes you remember the lyrics that are trying to speak about growing up, acknowledging what it is and still take your own path, in this case “down South”.

Hold On

Hey guys!

A few days ago I found this next song from the band Flor. They play a punk, indie, alternative kind of music and their new track is quite addictive. It’s been on repeat since 2 days ago and I’m still not sick of it yet. The tune is called “Hold On”, it has a happy vibe and it feels like something that should inspire hope. I especially like the part when they sing “You know that it's you the reason that I come alive come alive/ It lives in your eyes” .

And now when it comes to the tea I’m going to choose a black tea because I haven’t drunk one in a while and I’m craving one right now. Something like the Mr. Grey tea. It’s a combination of: black tea, bergamot, chocolate, sugar balls, red sprinkles and heather flowers. It’s sweet and full of flavors and just by adding a little milk it’s going to become even better.

In My Blood

Hey guys, Happy Valentine’s day!

It seemed like something that I should say ;)

So because it’s Valentine’s day today I’m going to choose a song that talks about love. Something like “In My Blood” by The Veronicas, that seems like the perfect track for today. It’s catchy, has some beautiful lyrics and it will make you dance. The hook of this melody is blood of course, with a lot of drops and beats combine, that’s what is going to get stuck in your head from the first listen. Plus a found a lyrics that made my smile because of its meaning, like: “I felt religion with you on the floor”.

As for the tea I think that a rooibos tea might melt some hearts. And I found the perfect tea. It’s called Romeo & Juliet and it’s a mix of: rooibos, apple pieces, cinnamon pieces, cocoa peel, star aniseed and cut peppermint for those of you that like mint. It’s energetic, full of flavors and most of all it will give a feeling of love.

Cloud 9

Hey guys!

Today I’m in the mood for some white tea, something more sweet than usual. How about the Tamarind / Caramel tea? It's a combination of: white tea, caramel cubes, pepper, red & white immortelles. And for those of you that like almonds you can add some roasted ones, it will make the difference. Plus it has a unique aroma that might resonate with some of you.

Now for the song I’ve been kind of obsessed with Jamiroquai new single “Cloud 9” ever since it was released 3 days ago. It’s funky, it has a disco vibe to it and it certainly has a familiar feel to it. This track definitely puts me in a good mood not just because of the sound but the lyrics too. The ones I love the most have to: “I look up to Heaven, every star I see is mine./ Only a fool could walk away from me this time”. It’s that kind of a song that when you hear it play on the radio you’ll just crank it up to feel all the beats.

Not Above Love

‘ello!

I found this track yesterday and it got stuck in my head ever since. It’s called “Not Above Love” and it’s by the English duo AlunaGeorge. It’s a trip-hop, electronic, r&b track with some ingenious lyrics that talk about trying to escape a relationship in which you are taken advantage of and just regaining your heart and journey thru.  Something like this “You keep robbing my heart like a bank/ No thank you, no thank you”.

As for the tea, I think something fruity will do the trick here. Plus something with cinnamon cause this week I’ve been craving that a lot. This tea it’s called the Cinnamon/Roasted Almonds and it’s a mix of: pieces of apple, pineapple bits, cinnamon, toasted pumpkin seeds, raisins, coconut flakes, pieces of raspberry and poppy flowers.

Scared To Be Lonely

Today I was thought that I should make a few friends of mine happy and I’m going to talk about Dua Lipa. And her single with Martin Garrix “Scared To Be Lonely”. This future bass track has a powerful energy and some clever lyrics. And Dua’s prominent voice combine with all the drops and beats of this tune create a hit in the making. Or at least that is my opinion.

Now for the tea, my choice is going to be the Orange & Cardamom tea. It’s a blend of: rooibos, sugar flakes, carrot flakes, ground almonds, basil, pieces of cinnamon, orange and chocolate, anise, cloves, ginger, coriander, pepper, cardamom, cumin. There is a lot a flavors in this tea and like the song the combination of all the ingredients make this a tea you can enjoy at any hour of the day.

Believer

Hey guys!

Let’s start today with a black tea so we have the energy to enjoy, endure today :D . The tea that I’m going to choose is called Pu Erh Gingerbread and it’s a combination of: Pu Erh, cloves, almonds, chunks of cocoa beans, anise, cocoa beans peel, cinnamon and pink pepper. It’s a bit spice and it’s full of aromas. It’s the perfect tea to start the day.

As for the song I have to say that I fell in love with Imagine Dragons new single “Believer”. This track has a dramatic vibe to it, mostly because the lead vocalist falsetto. Things seams to explode in the chorus since the instruments became more intense. It’s a quick paced tune in which you can also hear a little rap-urban inspiration.

Sleep

Hey you!

For all the nights you can’t sleep and you need someone there to keep you warm and calm I think I found a song that might give you that feeling, at least it does for me. It’s called “Sleep” by Poets of the Fall a rock band from Finland. It’s a mellow track with a piano playing through it, and after 2 minutes the drums start kicking in. The singer makes a marvelous job if following that soft sound and goes along with it. Plus some of the lyrics just are perfect. “So/ Sleep, sugar, let your dreams flood in / Like waves of sweet fire, you're safe within”.

Now for the tea I have the perfect one. It’s a blend of: lemongrass, chamomile and rose petals and it goes by the name Tranquil Tea. This tea is perfect for those days when you need to unwind and relax. It gives you a sense of calm and comfort. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Hit and Run

Hey guys!

This weekend I went to a friend’s house and at some point she showed me this track and till now I couldn’t get it out if my head. I’m talking about “Hit and Run” by LOLO an American soul singer/songwriter. This track has a fast beat and her high pitch voice seam to make this something that I cannot forget. Plus it has some clever lyrics that gave me a smile when I listen to it. Something like: “I was brought up as a southern belle/ I grew into the queen of hell”.

And for the tea, I’m going to choose something mellower and a kind of tea you could drink at any hour. It’s called China Lichee Black Tea and it’s exactly that, a black tea with lychee. It’s sweet and a slight floral but the aroma doesn’t overpower the black tea.

Highs & Lows

Hey guys!

Today I’ll try to get right to the point, so let’s start. There is a track today that makes me feel better. It’s an R&B melody by Emeli Sandé and it’s called “Highs & Lows”. It’s a classic for he, it has the piano, small choir and clapping. But something about this one doesn’t feel like an emotion roller-coaster with is a very good thing. This tune will help you have a good day and help you manage the day. At least it does for me.

As for the tea, I’m thinking of something that has turmeric cause I really like it now. So let’s drink the Stimulating Tea which is a combination of: ginger, cardamom, cloves, turmeric root, coriander and nutmeg. I know some of you are going to enjoy it, and maybe find a new love in it.

Cigarette Burns

Today I’m craving berries and fruits, and because of that I’m going to choose the tea Blueberry Fizz. This is a combination of: pineapple, pieces of apple, beetroot, blueberries, lemon zest. It’s one of my favorite tisane to drink and when is warmer outside you can even turn it into a iced tea. I live the taste of it and its red-ish color gives me a very good summer vibe.

As for the song I’m thinking of something with a down tempo, some easy beats and a voice that brings everything close together. Something like “Cigarette Burns” by Flunk a Norwegian electronic band. This track is smooth and calming, and her high pitch voice gives you the feeling of an old timely band. There is definitely a good vibe to this tune, it will warm you and give energy for whatever you need to do.

Mad About You

Hey you!

So today I’m going to start with the tea, something that will give us some energy but also keep us is a calm state if mind. The tea is called Ginger Aronia and it’s a mix of: ginger, cumin, anise, lemongrass, aronia berries, sage flowers, licorice root, rose petals, mint and star anise. This tea is perfect for any occasion just don’t drink excessively because even though the licorice root has a lot of benefices it has some side effects to.

Now when it comes to the song I know the perfect one just for you. It’s called “Mad About You” and it’s Koni, a German producer, featuring Danelle, a singer from LA. This track fits in the deep house, melodic house genres and I’ve got to say I fell in love with it from the first listen. It has a mellow and warm vibe to it and some very stunning lyrics. If you are in love with someone you are going to agree with the lyrics. I have a few favorites of course, like: “I feel the magic in my veins/ It's like I'm sipping a potion/ Only you can give to me” and of course because of all the things you make feel “my body is feeling kind of weak”. It’s a perfect melody that explains some of the feelings that you feel for the right person.
