So Good

Hey, guys!

I’m in a very good mood today, drinking one of my favorite teas – a Wild Cherry tea –, and just enjoying life. This tea is a blend of black tea (I used Darjeeling black tea) and pieces of cherries. With a little bit of cream or, if it’s too hot outside for you, some ice and you’re good to go.

I’ve known this song for a long time and it’s still one of my favorite tunes to keep me in the best mood or to get me out there. I’m talking about “So Good” by B.o.B., a catchy song with a very upbeat beat and some cute lyrics: “I’ll be Da Vinci if you’ll be my Mona Lisa / So smile, and pack your bags real good, baby / Cause you’ll be gone for a while.” That’s my favorite verse, it makes me smile a lot.

Don’t You Worry ‘bout A Thing

Hey!

So today I’m in the mood for some funk. And for that, the perfect artist to listen to is Stevie Wonder, am I right? One of my favorite songs of his is “Don’t You Worry ‘bout A Thing” which starts with a piano and a Latino intro that says "Todo 'stá bien chévere", which ruffle translates to "Everything's really good”. This is a great song to keep you in an even greater mood.

The tea… right now I’m drinking a green tea for some energy and also for the feeling of a perfect day. But of course I didn’t make it simple; I’ve mixed it with some apple pieces and rose-hip for a better taste and more benefits.

Sucker For Pain

Who else is eagerly waiting for the release of the movie “Suicide Squad”? I know I am. And because of that, I might have started liking one of the soundtracks. I’m talking about “Sucker for Pain” by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Logic and Ty Dolla $ign, plus Imagine Dragons and X Ambassadors (some indie rock groups to go with all those rappers). I’m not sure I like the entire song but I definitely like the chorus: “I wanna chain you up/I wanna tie you down/I'm just a sucker for pain”. This seems like something that the Joker would sing :P

For the tea I’m thinking about something that could fit the track. How about Blood Orange tea? It’s a mix of lapacho, orange pieces & orange peel. This tea has a lot of benefits for your immune system, skin health, blood pressure, bone & teeth health and it has the perfect color to go with it. And you can even turn it into an ice tea just by adding some ice.

Wild

Hey, guys!

I’ve been a fan of Troye Sivan ever since he started on YouTube, but his new song keeps playing on repeat in my head. I’m talking about “Wild”, the new version where the tempo is slightly speeded up and he is accompanied by Alessia Cara. Their voices seem to melt together. And by the way, she wrote her own lyrics that fit the theme of the song perfectly. That makes this song even better in my book.

Since this track has a faster peace, I think the tea should also give you a boost, and for that the Minty Mate is the perfect choice. That’s a blend of green mate, lemongrass and, of course, peppermint. This will help with your blood pressure, skin health, stress, immune system and it’s an aid in weight loss. Enjoy it!

I Am A Nightmare

Today is another one of those days when I’m not quite sad, but not happy either. It’s somehow the perfect balance of both, so I’m drinking some EterniTEA Green (clever name hmm). That’s a mix of green tea, rosemary, sage, rose petals and safflowers, with a lemon twist. This tea will help you live life at your full potential or at least that’s what you will feel because of those many flavors.

The song: “I Am A Nightmare” by Brand New, an alternative rock band from New York. I found this one today and it’s been on repeat ever since. The guitar & the drums bury the vocals that are repeating “I am a nightmare and you are a miracle”, but my favorite part is the one that says “Please don’t replace me/ I surrender, embrace me”. It makes a lot of sense to me.

Mountain Language

Hey, guys!

Today a found a new post-rock band that I kinda love. It’s called Flies are Spies from Hell. I listened to a lot of their songs, but this one stuck with me: “Mountain Language”. This might be because of the piano playing from the start to finish, or because it’s just a great song. The drums kicking and the bass playing make this track even better, especially in the second minute and a half. That’s when everything comes together and builds up into the perfect ending.

The tea should be something that keeps you awake to enjoy the perfect day, like the one I’m having today. For that, I think a Tea With Ginseng is the perfect idea. It’s a combination of black tea with ginseng & lemon, and it tastes amazing. It will energize you and put you in any kind of mood you might need in any certain day.

Female Robbery

“I think I found hell” it’s the first lyric to “Female Robbery” by The Neighborhood, and that’s all I needed to get hooked on to this song, some time ago. It’s an alternative rock track, with a relaxing but somehow weird vibe, and that’s one that I can definitely share with you. I love this song and I hope you’re going to like it too, and maybe by the end of it you are going to say “I think I found love”.

Since this song relaxes me, I’m drinking a tea to fit my mood. Something meant for those days you just feel like staying in bed and doing nothing: a Lazy Daze tea. That’s a chamomile, kava kava, cat nip, lemongrass, peppermint & spearmint with oatstraw blend. A tea that will help you slip into some calming and relaxing moments when you need to.

Something To Believe In

What’s up guys? I’ll tell you what. The sky :P (not the best joke, is it? But at least I’m having fun)

We’re going to dive right in. Today’s song is “Something To Believe In” by Young The Giant, an indie-rock, alternative-rock band from California. This track helped me get things done today, and I wanted to share it with you cause maybe, the drums, the guitar & bass riff, and not to mention the vocals, will motivate you too. “Realize you’re a slave to your mind, break free” it’s all I can hear now. 

Because this track is sending me all the right kinds of energy, I’m drinking a tea that will enhance that, a bend of black & green tea with grapefruit, pink peppercorns, carrot peel, orange peel, lemon grass and pomelo slices. A Hidden Treasure Green tea (its name), it’s full of flavors and the perfect morning brew, in my opinion. Enjoy!

Tears

Hey!

So today I’m in the mood for chocolate again, I wonder way… and I’m thinking of something that has just a little pinch of that in it. So ladies and gentlemen, I give you Chili Truffle tea, a mix of black tea, chocolate with cacao bits, chili flakes & bits. Trust me, it’s amazing. Plus, it will give you the energy you need to get thru the day, no matter what that may bring you.

Now the song. How about “Tears” by Clean Bandit featuring Louisa Johnson? This track is full of emotions and it’s the perfect break-up anthem, if you need one. The vocals are powerful and just wow (no wonder she won the X-Factor) and the instrumental is just as amazing. The violin, the cello and the piano, in combination with that electro beat: perfect!!! “This tears will get me through /And I’ll get over you” An awesome song, indeed. No wonder it makes me think of chocolate.

Lost On You

Hey, guys!

Today I found this next song. It’s called “Lost On You” and it’s by LP. It’s been on replay from the first play because I think the track in amazing and the artist’s voice just magical – a bit husky – and makes the melody even better. The lyrics a just the right amount of sad, but perfect nonetheless: “Tell me that you love me more than hate me all the time/ Are you still mine”. That seems to be the one that does it for me, maybe because we all, even myself, feel that way sometimes

Since I imagine listening to this song over a glass of wine with a certain someone, and since I’m alone at this moment and not in the mood for wine, I’m going to choose a tea that will deliver me a hint of that moment: a White Grape White Tea. That’s a blend of white tea, rose-hip, black currants, mallow blossoms, cornflower blossoms & the fresh juice of some white grapes. It’s definitely an afternoon tea and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.

Panic Attack

Sooo today was the perfect kind of day: doing almost nothing, just having a good time, eating and drinking tea, of course. It was one of the most amazing days I had in a long time. I drank a Green Lavender iced tea – a combination of green tea, lavender, lemongrass and some ginger. It’s just the right beverage for any time of the day: morning, afternoon or even at night. Any time it’s the right time to drink this tea, as I was saying.

The song I’ve known for a long time, but now, when I’m sitting alone in my room, this is the perfect melody to listen to – “Panic Attack” by Tunturia, a post-rock band from Toronto. Don’t be fooled by the name, you won’t get a panic attack. Instead, this is a calming track that seems to fit your mood perfectly. To tell you the truth, I was hooked on this song from the start and I don’t think there is anything else special to say about it. Just give it a try cause you might like it. And maybe you’ll even hit the replay button.

Up

Hey, you guys!

Today I woke up with this next song in my head, and I thought that, even if I’m pretty happy, I know some people in my life, that I care about, are having a bad time. So this is a great way for letting them know that I’m here for them. I’m talking about “Up” by Shania Twain. It’s a happy song, with a lot of cute lyrics that talk about life: “Like nothing wants to go my way/ yeah, it just ain’t been my day”.And one of my favorites is “When everything is goin’ wrong/ Don’t worry, it won’t last for long”. So guys, you “Can only go up from here”. Trust me, life is quite beautiful!

Now for the tea… I’m thinking it should be something that will make feel make you better. An Organic Feel Better is a mix of fennel, green rooibos, linden, orange, raspberries, licorice root, cinnamon, chili pepper, elderberry & Echinacea. This tea has a wonderful combination of flavors and a lot of benefits. Hope you enjoy it.

River

Today I found this next song and I’m amazed I didn’t know of it before: “River” by Bishop Briggs, a singer from LA. This track seems to be a combination of rock, pop and some great beats. Plus that amazing voice that sounds so emotional, especially when she gets to the part that says “Choke this low till the veins start to shiver/One last breath till the tears start to whither”.

Since this song hits me like a punch, I’m going to choose something that does the same - Green Spice tea. That’s a mix of green tea, cinnamon, peppermint, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and pepper,the perfect combination of spices, with just the right amount of mint. This tea will energize you and that’s perfect for any afternoon, right?

Hello!

So today is another good day, just drinking tea in my balcony and enjoying life to the fullest. Today’s choice of tea is a minty one; it energizes me and I just love the taste. So I made myself a apple mint tea, with some ice and just a bit of black tea so I can have the energy to dance thru the day :P

Right now I’m listening to a song called “Poseidon” by Neptunica, a deep house band from Germany. This track seems perfect for the weather outside, it’s like a summer breeze that has the perfect vibe, especially for this day. “Need nobody” and “What is love” keeps getting stuck in my head (maybe because that is all I can understandJ)

Way Down We Go

Today is one of those days when I do something special for one of my friends. It’s not his birthday, but he felt left out so I’m going to do this 6 months earlier and I hope that he is going to appreciate it cause I’m definitely going to do this on his birthday too. It’s a good thing that you are my best friend, otherwise I don’t think I would ever done it.

Now his choices for today. The song is “Way Down We Go” by Kaleo, a band from Iceland. He showed me this song a few days ago and I started loving it too. The overwhelming passion and emotion that Jökull Júlíusson sings with make this song even more amazing, and together with the guitar, piano and those drums make a good rock track with blues influences.

The tea is a Romanian classic – linden tea. I remember drinking it almost every day when I was a child, especially when I was cold. But since I grew up, I haven’t had it that much. Maybe I should give it another try… Anyway, it’s his favorite. So if you have problems with anxiety and trouble sleeping, you should definitely try it.It’s going to be a great help.

The Devil's Bleedings Crown

What’s up guys?

So this weekend, there was a song that me and my best friend played on repeat (he learned to love it by the 4^th or 5^th repeat). The song is called “The Devil's Bleedings Crown” and it’s by Volbeat. I’m not sure what I like more about it, the guitar riff or the chorus, but for some reason I really enjoy this track. It pumps me& gives me energy. I hope you, guys, like it at least a bit :P

The tea I’m thinking about is something that puts you in motion and, also, has a red-ish color to go with the title of the song. It’s called Chocolate Orange tea and it’s a blend of rooibos, chocolate chips, cocoa grounded beans, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, orange peeland orange blossom.  There is a lot of chocolate in this one so the taste is going to be wonderful. Circadian Rhythm

Hey!

The past few days I’ve been craving raspberries… God, I love them! And because of that, today’s tea already has raspberries in it, at least mine does. I’ve blended some black tea with raspberries pieces and chocolate (I found some in the house and I thought it would be a good idea. I was right). It’s the perfect afternoon tea, at least till I find something better :P

Now the song. I’m going to talk about “Circadian Rhythm” by Silversun Pickups. I started enjoying this track because of Nikki Monninger’s voice, which was a nice surprise from the usual Silversun Pickups. This gives me a warm feeling that I’ve been looking for. “Nowhere to go, stay with me” sticks with me all day and “Feel my body swoon to hear you say my name” makes perfect sense to me, especially these days.

Addicted

Today I’m in a certain kind of mood, one that someone maybe might feel in a French bistro I guess, and the song I’m listening to right now fits perfectly - “Addicted” by Waldeck. I’ve known this track for a long time, but it still hasn’t lost his sway for me. It’s a combination of nu jazz, trip-hop & the perfect amount of that clarinet. Plus the vocals… zeebee (Eva Egel) does a great job getting you addicted to this melody.  It’s impossible to hear this song and not swing your shoulders.

This track is sooo chill, that the perfect tea would be one with lavender - Minty Lavender tea: a blend of peppermint, lavender and blueberries. This tea has the power to energize you or even to calm you down, depending on your mood.  And it’s a great drink if you’re looking for some lovely dreams.

Sound

Hey, guys!

Here is a funky song, with an 80’s sound that’s just perfect for a light day – “Sound” by The 1975. To tell you the truth, I only stated liking this song because it completed perfectly one very special moment for me, not too long ago. I was sitting in my balcony, waiting for someone and I realize that I can tell when they were around, by the sound their shoes make on the asphalt. It was the perfect song for that moment, as told by the lyrics: “Well I know when you’re around cause I know the sound/ I know the sound, of your heart”. Right on point!

For the tea I’m choosing the tea we drank when they arrived :P– a Jasmine and Rose tea. That’s a mix of black tea, green tea, jasmine, rose petals and sunflower petals. It’s a flavored tea because of the main ingredients but nevertheless a tasty one. It’s the perfect combination for an evening or a calm day.

Honey Whiskey

This song had me at the first 3 seconds because of the drums kicking and then, because of the lyrics. “Honey Whiskey” by Nothing But Thieves, an alternative rock band from the UK. The song’s about feeling bored at a party and that is a feeling I keep having lately. I think I love everything about this song: the lead singer’s voice that is soft and somehow calms me down, the bass line and the drums, of course. I think you should give it a try, you might like it.

Since this track has such a relaxing effect on me, I’m going to pair it with something that will keep me in the same state of mind – a white tea with ginger. Many people, who use meditation as a soothing tool in their lives, love this tea. It’s been said to possess a wonderful and calming effect on the body, so maybe it’s perfect for when you feel bored and you want to relax.

Don’t Lose Your Heart

Today, let’s drink something refreshing! Soo… how about a Mediterranean Blend? It’s a mix of mint, hibiscus, orange peel, licorice root and lemon peel. It has a slightly sweet taste that is perfect for the days you just wanna stay at home and do nothing. But it can also give you a bit of energy or even help you have a great night sleep. It goes both ways, but either way it has a divine taste.

Now the song. I’m going to choose “Don’t Lose Your Heart” by Dream On Dreamer, a post-hardcore, alternative rock band from Australia. This track has an experimental edge and a dramatic shift. Plus, the lyrics have an encouraging tone – “Right back at the start, kid, don’t lose your heart/ Till you’re where you wanna be”. And my personal favorite “It takes courage to not be the same”.
