Candy Cane Lane

Hey!

Here in Romania finally started to snow and it gave me a holiday mood and because of that I’m listening to Sia’s new track “Candy Cane Lane” from her Christmas album “Everyday Is Christmas”. I liked this song from the start, it’s new, it’s not just another cover of an old carol, it’s happy and Sia’s voice makes this track somehow more of cheer. It’s a pop tune stuffed full of sleigh bells and saxophones that give it extra magical powers. My favorite part is when she sings: “we'll eat all the candy canes”, it just makes me happy.

As for the I’m choosing Gingerbread Latté which is a blend made form rooibos with ginger, cinnamon, currants, pineapple bits, and safflowers. It contains no caffeine but it will still bring you a boost in energy and especially when it comes to you mood. It’s definitely a holiday blend meant to be enjoyed on a snow day, in a warm place with a blanked around.

Who Are You

Hey guys!

Guess who caught a cold? That’s right, me :|. And because of that today’s tea it’s going to be something that will bring lots of benefits for my health. It’s a blend I created after I researched the aids of all of the ingredients.  I call it Light Bringer and it’s made from:  white tea which destroys pathogenic bacteria in your body, lemongrass serve as antiviral sore-throat calmer, elder flower reduces inflammation in mucous membranes, peppermint help relieve congestion and encourage productive coughs, and ginger aids chest and nasal congestion. It’s just 5 ingredients that will help you when you feel a cold coming, or when it’s already there.

As for the song, I’m choosing something slow and calming from the English duo Aquilo. The track is called “Who Are You” and it has an ambient sound that fills the silence around you with a beautiful piano playing, an amazing falsetto from Tom Higham and the pair’s captivating harmonies which seam come together effortlessly. It’s a perfect melody for rainy, cold days when you just wanna let the troubles of the world melt away.

Believe

Hey guys!

Today I wanted to chill down and just enjoy what life has got to give and because of that I’m listening to Benjamin Booker’s “Believe”. It’s a soulful track that just makes me just let go and listen to his raspy voice that makes this a great experience. It’s a beautiful song that I can’t stop listing too especially on this windy, cold day. It’s infectious with its blues sound that almost feels like a gospel talking about believing in something and finding a reason for life.

Now for the tea, I’m thinking that an herbal tea is the perfect choice; something that will give us a good feeling, a warm embrace. I have the feeling that Garden Harvest is what is needed. It’s a mix of both fruits and herbs, sweet and calming with just a pinching taste of spices.  The blend is made from: orange peel, lemon peel, chamomile, rose-hips, hibiscus, cloves, cinnamon & cornflower. Anyone can find something to love in this tea, so give it a try.

Starlight

Hey you!

So today a certain someone wanted to listen to something from Muse, and since my favorite song from them is “Starlight” that’s what we are going to listen. I love this track; it’s about being away from home or loved ones but still feeling their love no matter what. It’s an amazing melody full of guitar riffs and drum kicks that you can sing along to; filled with good vibes and amazing lyrics. I especially like when the rhythm changes a little when the hook comes in, that’s my absolute favorite thing in the song, plus the lyrics :D  

As for the tea, I’m choosing something refreshing, light and still mood boosting with a taste to die for. It’s called Passion Flower and it’s a blend made from:  honey bush, white tea, passion flower, blackberry leaf, lemon peel, hibiscus and extract from passion fruit, mango & lemon.  Is like a tropical island vacation for your senses, with a nice light fruity taste to it. It’s a perfect beverage for any occasion, day or night.

Beautiful Trauma

Today I wanna try something different, it’s something I definitely haven’t tried before but I’m very excited to do so. I’m talking about Noon chai, Kashmiri Tea or Pink Tea a traditional tea beverage from Kashmir. It’s usually made from a Kashmiri tea leaves which are very similar to green tea because they are minimally oxidized and that’s why you can use green tea like I did to make this drink. You need salt, sugar, cardamom, baking soda or saffron, almonds and pistachios, milk and of course the tea leaves. It’s creamy with a wonderful taste and definitely a new experience that I’m pretty sure you are going to enjoy. As for the song, that’s easy I’m choosing Pink’s new track “Beautiful Trauma” to make an even pinker pairing. This is an electric tune, full of energy talking about love being a drug; one you can’t just live without. I got to say I instantly liked this melody, it’s that Pink punch I needed, with great vocal that only she can deliver in a way that seams fun. Add to it that pink video, where she dances with Channing Tatum, who at one point is in a dress. Hope you enjoyed today's choices and if you haven’t notice the theme is pink :))

Perfect

Hey guys!

For today I need you to help me wish my big sister a happy birthday. Even thou her birthday was yesterday we are going to celebrate some more today and even on the weekend, because she is one of the most important people in my life and she deserves it. I’m so happy to be her little sister, the littlest, to have grown up with her and to share all the important moments in our life, no matter the kilometers between us. Now let’s get into her choices.

For the song, a flawless, warm and fuzzy ballad “Perfect” from Ed Sheeran. There is a way this artist finds a way into your heart with some amazing songs but this time (in my opinion) he quite outdone himself, I see why my sister like this tune. My favorite lyrics come from the chorus “I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms/ Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song” and I’m sure you have one just as sweet as your favorite. Plus add the video to the mix and you get a heartwarming story with picture-perfect snow, cozy sweaters and adorable kittens.

As for the tea, that’s simple, apparently nothings change since last year and she still loves her green tea with raspberries, named last year Raspberry Green tea. And what’s not to love, it’s refreshing, has a fruity palate, gives you a little energy and it fits perfect in that cozy, fuzzy, warm picture that Ed Sheeran painted. It became something I always have in the house because of that simpleness and yet complex taste and aroma it brings to the table.

Oh Love

Today’s tune comes from the band MisterWives, an indie, pop, alternative band from New York, and their song “Oh Love”.  It has great vocals and rhythms that will make you wanna move.  The video is a bit too political for me, but the animation is quite good. And I especially like these lyrics: “Lifted the veil, we’re all sinners/ Crowned the devil a winner” it just feel interesting and somehow amusing to me.

And for the tea, I’m choosing a green tea something that’s refreshing, light and also carries a punch for a bit of energy. It’s called Cranberry & Forestfruit and it’s a blend of: green tea, cranberries, safflower, rose petals, and natural aroma. It’s simple with a great taste, a beautiful smell and countless benefits for your health.

The Best Has Yet To Come

Today is a special day; it’s the birthday of one of my best of friends, someone who’s been with me thru the good and the bad. And because of that I need you to help me wish her a happy and perfect birthday; full of great memories, with flawless moments and good times, cause she deserves it. Our friendship isn’t an very old one but it’s one that I hold dear to my heart, full of amazing memories, great stories and lots of laughter and that is why you birthday is important to me.

Now… like always when it’s someone’s birthday they choose the song and tea they like in this moments. She wanted something that has apple and cinnamon as their main ingredients and keeping that in mind I searched the tea database and found the Cinnamon Apple Spice. A bend made from: cinnamon, apple, hibiscus, chamomile, roasted chicory, orange peel and roasted carob. This is a sweet and full of flavors tea, with a strong smell and taste of apple and cinnamon now to overpowering so the rest of the ingredients get to shine a little. You can consume it at any time of day, it doesn’t contain caffeine and it even has chamomile so if you dink it before bed you might fall asleep like a baby.

As for the tune of the day, her choice is “The Best Has Yet To Come” from Scorpions. This is a powerful ballad, it’s catchy and passionate, a blend of classical form with hard rock dynamics, guitar and vocal that doesn’t give in to modern clichés but a renewed version of themselves.  Klaus Meine's recognizable vocal are a familiar sound, not to nostalgic but a pleasure to listen to. I’ve got to say some of the lyrics from the chorus fit prefect with our friendship and somehow this song has more meaning to me to. “Through the highs and lows/ And how can I live without you/ You're such a part of me/ And you've always been the one/ Keeping me forever young/ And the best is yet to come”.

Pleader

Hello!

A few days ago I started listening to “Pleader” by the indie, alternative, electronic British band Alt-J. The first seconds of this track are silent and then it starts with a gloomy sound that makes you feel calm. Featuring the London Metropolitan Orchestra, Ely Cathedral boy choristers, police siren samples and voices it creates something that you don’t usually hear anywhere. It’s spooky but it grows into something beautiful and unique making something really enjoyable. I especially like the part when the choir sings “Glorious, the voice of man!” it brings chills down my spine.

As for the tea I’m choosing something refreshing that help you rejuvenate and it’s called Berry Green Machine. This is a blend of: green tea, rose-hips, elderberries, anise seed, hibiscus, dandelion leaf, lemon peel, alfalfa, blackberry leaf, and last but not leas wild berry extract for more flavor. It has cleansing properties, super delicious but not overly strong so you can drink it at almost hour of day.

Watching The Storm

For today I’m going to share with you a special tea called You Glow Girl (or Bro); got to say I love the name. It’s a blend crated to give you a youthful glow, help you wind down, relax and let the magic flow right thru you. It’s created from: rooibos, cinnamon, cloves, elderberries, bilberry leaf, gotu kola, sage, thyme, eleuthero root.  It’s a tea that feels like a chai and I know you like those, that will improve your state of mind and help you unwind so it’s best to drink it before bed.  

And since the tea is perfect before sleep my choice is going to be a song that will help you with nice and pleasant dreams. It’s called “Watching The Storm” and it’s from the cinematic post-rock duo from Sweden U137. This track is more of an ambient song, with a melodic background and since the drums are missing is a perfect dreamy escape. It’s a perfect sound for a lovely and relaxed night.

Today I’m trying to send all my good thoughts and feeling to a special someone, trying to give them a little courage and because of that the next song comes in. It’s from the pop-rock band The Score and it’s called “Believe”. This is not a heavy track; it has a simple beat and beautiful lyrics. I loved from the first minute because of it slow and easy intro and because that only at the bridge it started to change and make more of an impact. So in your darkness hour, day know that I’m always here to cheer you on and I’ll always believe in you.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something called Let’s Toast, because it contains caffeine so there will be enough energy to get thru a tough day. This blend is a mix of: Yerba maté, holy tulsi trinity (Rama, Krishna & Vana), orange peel, ginger bits, rose-hips, and some orange extract to add more flavor. It’s powerful and beneficial, has the complexity of a black tea, yet it is quite nimble and easy to drink. I hope you enjoy it and that you won’t let anything get you down.

Blood//Water

Hey!

I quite sick of starting my posts like that but I somehow can’t find anything better, and that means we’re going to keep doing that till I fine something better :D. ok… I’m rambling so let me share with you my choices for today. For the song I’m choosing something from Grandson, a Canadian rock, alternative, electronic artist, someone that seems to have a lot of fans these days, and his song “Blood//Water”. I enjoy this track; it’s edgy, has an infectious beat and let’s not forget that it feels like it has some punk influences.  And of course like a lot of his song seams to challenge the government and what are they doing, definitely a track for 2017.

And because this song feels like such a movement the tea should be something that will help you keep up. How about Bang Bang!? It’s a simple but powerful blend of: green tea, peppermint, cloves and licorice root. It’s full of aromas and awesome flavors from the refreshing green tea to the spicy and warm clove, and let’s not forget the cool that peppermint creates of the sweet hint of licorice.

Today I choose a very simple blend containing just green and white tea. This tea is called Twilight or Fusion Green and White Tea and it’s one of the most unique and rare, expensive types of tea because of the quality of the green and white tea. It has a delicate and smooth taste and you will find yourself looking at a pale gold color in the cup. It’s simple and yet with a lot of power and magic for a beverage.

As for the song, I’m choosing something The Neighbourhood’s new album “Hard”. The one I enjoy the most because it’s has a 80’s vibe, it’s catchier, happier and upbeat track and it’s called “24/7”. It’s an enchanting tune that’s about time, the way people worry about time and if you just slow down and enjoy life he will be there for you. It’s easy to love this song because from the start you get the feeling about the band.

Someone To You

I didn’t woke up in a good mood today and I’m trying to change that and because of that I am listening to Banners song “Somebody To You”, an up-beat, up-lifting track with great vocals, drum kicks for my liking and just a sound that I enjoy. This track is supposed to be a confession of love, declaration to a fully commit to a relationship, or the feelings of loneliness and invisibility when the one that you love barely recognizes you exist. I especially like these lyrics: “I'll make the moon shine just for your view/ I'll make the starlight circle the room” because you can feel the love and the things that this person would do for a special someone.

Now for the tea, I’m choosing something fruity and full of aromas, with no caffeine in it. It’s called
Posie's Party Parlor Potion and it’s an infusion made from: apples, hibiscus, elderberry, raspberry, rosehips, cornflowers and sunflower petals, blackberry, strawberry. It’s a simple blend with a divine taste that’s perfect for any occasion.

The Sights

Today I’m trying a new tea, one called Green Tea Walnut. This contains some wonderful ingredients that create an excellent tea, especially perfect for the holidays, tropical yet traditional. This blend is a mix of:  green tea with brittle bits, candied pineapple, coconut rasps, walnut bits, and almond flakes. With every sip you will fell an impeccable balance between the taste of nuts and maple with bold tropical fruit, a delicious blend that I’m sure you guys are going to love. 

As for the song, I’m choosing something that came out a few days ago “The Sights” from the English band Enter Shikari. This track has a different sound then their older tracks that I’m use to but it’s still great, more for the masses then for the fans of experimental post-hardcore genre.  This tune is about the fear and anticipation of starting a new chapter in your life. And this is my favorite lyric: “I'm leaving this Earth for the stars tonight/ And now I'm running to board the flight”, it perfectly sums up the start in every situation. That’s it for today, now…

When I Was Young

Today I have the pleasure to share with you the track “When I Was Young” by MØ the pop, electronic, indie artist from Denmark. It’s a song full of intoxicating vocals and harmonies that just make you wanna sing with her from the top of your lungs. And at the chorus it’s a different energy, brings a kind of electric swing to the mix and makes everything even better.  Plus when MØ talked about this track she said: <is all about nostalgia and reflecting on life—especially the past, but also the now and the future>, the perfect meaning to a prefect song.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something that I wrote about some time ago, not sure if you’ll remember. The Star dust tea, a wonderful combination of: black tea, buckwheat baked, caramelized almonds, ground almonds, white cornflowers petals. It’s sweet, will give you a lot of energy and it almost fits and the season to come with that taste of caramelized almonds, and like the stores I’m preparing for the holidays in advance.

So Much More Than This

Hello!

Today I thought we should listen to last year’s winner of America’s Got Talent, the thirteen year old (yes 13) Grace VanderWaal, and her song “So Much More Than This”. It’s a sweet track, appropriate for her age, which that looks at how life is so much more than hate or popularity; with some amazing vocals that shine and just blow you away. It’s an enjoyable, pleasant, and fun song with catchy and cute lyrics like this: “Tap your foot and listen in/ Ignore the world, let the music cave in”. If you weren’t before now I’m sure that you’ll be impress by this little girl’s capabilities.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something that doesn’t contain caffeine and it will be perfect for any age. It’s called Relaxation Tea Organic and it’s an amazing blend of green honeybush with green rooibos, fennel, anise, chamomile, saffron. It’s full of sweet scents, has a relaxing effect, it just helps ease your tension. Plus it you add a little milk and honey to this blend you will create something even greater.

Come Together

Today I’m listening to the cover Gary Clark Jr. did for the movie Justice League, “Come Together” by The Beetles. I love the way Gary sings; I like his vocals, husky and rough as they are, and the guitar riffs that are just amazing, and this cover has them all. It’s a bass-heavy, electro-rock combined with blues which is an interesting change from usual Beatles riff. It’s easy to find something to love or to hate over this tune but and let’s hope that overall it will be all in the good pile.

And now for our second part, I’m going to choose the Winterberry tea blend. This is a mix of:  green tea, apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, rose hip peels, lemongrass, orange peel, strawberry pieces, orange slices, natural flavor, and marigold petals. It’s a nice addition for the months to come, a warm welcome when you get home after a long day of work, sweet strawberry with delicate green tea and citrus lemon balanced with hibiscus sounds perfect to me.

Babe I'm Yours

Today I have the perfect combination of relaxing and chilling. I’m going to star with the song coming from the alternative, electronic British duo Whilk and Misky called “Babe I’m Yours”. This has a mesmerizing sound that mixes genres that to most of us seam incompatible. It combines minimalist trip-hop with a folk instrumental sound.  Spanish guitars, clapping percussion, inviting vocals that give the song an earthy quality, even thou the minimalistic production is more energetic. This is a prefect track to listen when you wanna chill, unwind, or if you want contemplate the meaning of life. Plus I really like this part "I got hypnotized by her voice and her eyes"

Now for our tea, that’s easy, Chill Baby Chill is the perfect and most logical choice. It’s a smooth, easy-to-drink herbal tisane that reduces stress & has detoxing ingredients. It has a perfect mixture of: lemongrass, spearmint, milk thistle seed, ashwagandha root (the Siberian ginseng), Holy basil Trinity (Rama, Vana & Krishna), eleuthero root (Indian ginseng), dandelion root, nettle leaf and burdock root. You know what it doesn’t have, actual ginseng :D. The perfect tea to unwind, take a deep breath and chill out.

Peace Sign

Today I woke up feeling a little sick and I one of the best remedies I know is ginger tea or something that contains it since a simple ginger tisane isn’t to my liking. That’s why today I’m choosing Battle Born, a tea that contains: green tea, elderberries, sarsaparilla root, cinnamon, ginger, fennel seed, juniper berries, licorice root, sage. It’s a light tea that keeps you going thru the day with warm aromas and a good feeling.

As for the song I think that some of you might like “Peace Sign” from the indie, rock band The Front Bottoms. It’s a simple track that had me from the first seconds with gritty guitar tunes, a unique set of vocals and some blunt lyrics that make this song great. Plus I really like the chorus, especially when “So next time that she sees him/ It'll be peace sign, middle finger” is sung.

Call It What You Want

Today I am changing things and I’m going to listen to Taylor Swift’s new song released yesterday called “Call It What You Want”. I actually liked this track from the first listen, its gentile, sweet and of course it’s about love. It’s a nice chance of pace from the last few singles; no wonder its 2# on trending on YouTube. And are is my favorite lyrics “Starry eyes sparking up my darkest night” and of course "You don't need to save me/ But would you run away with me?". It’s just a perfect song to enjoy or share with someone you love.

As for the tea, my choice is easy since I bought a new tea yesterday. It’s called Orange Peel and it’s a simple blend of black tea, orange peel and orange aroma. It’s simple but it taste is divine. Energizing, great aroma, naturally sweet and it contains a moderate amount of coffee so less jitters for you. That’s it for today; I’ll talk to you next week.

Just Can't Get Enough

Since yesterday we listen to some garage rock it got me in the mood and today I’m listening to Sheer Mag’s “Just Can't Get Enough”. It’s a sweet song about actually being in love with an awesome rhythm, great vocals and it’s a straight-up rock ballad. Plus this is my favorite lyrics and part of the entire song “Cause as far as I know/ I ain’t never seen nothin’ so sweet / You’re the only thing that I need”.

And for the tea, I’, choosing something called Minty Lavender. It’s a blend made from peppermint, lavender and blueberries. This tea is a great energizer or even to calm you down, depending on the mood you are in. And it’s a great drink if you’re looking for some lovely dreams, or thinking about the one you love.

I Only Lie When I Love You

Hey guys!

“I Only Lie When I Love You” is the song we are listening today, from the English alternative rock, garage rock band Royal Blood. It’s a modern blues with a lot of drum kicks and guitar riffs, but there are not that heavy, they just get you pumped up and ready to take in the world. This track is a nod to The White Stripes with its video and the persistent drumming and the distorted riffs. It’s a track that feels similar from the first listen and it stays with you because is quite addicting and extremely enjoyable.  

Now for the tea, I’m choosing something mostly cause of its name. This new tea is called Burn Baby Burn and it’s an amazing blend of: green and white tea, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, coconut flakes, dandelions and black pepper to enhance the turmeric.  It’s a kickass anti-inflammatory with metabolism boosting & fat scorching ingredients (disintegrates that fat & inflammation). So today it’s time to wake up and feel the burn.

Remains of the Day

Happy Halloween!

Today is the most spooky and fun day of all year, at least for the ones that have this holiday. And because of that we are celebrating to, with a song from Tim Butron’s “Corpse Bride”  - “Remains of the Day”. The song was composed and sang by Danny Elfman, an American composer, singer and songwriter best known for his work scoring films and TV shows. And my love for this tune comes from the up-beat and happy rhythm and pulse, plus the cheerful way to sing about death. I love it :D

And for the tea, I’m choosing something that fits with the mood, a Spiced Pumpkin Chai. This is a black tea with rooibos and rose hips, cinnamon, ginger, all-spice, cardamom, cloves and last but not least pumpkin spice extracts. It will warm you up and the aroma of rich spices will fill the room while your taste buds will dance. Plus it’s the perfect fall blend and you will absolutely love it.

Any Friend of Diane’s

Hello!

Today I am listening to Weezer’s new album “Pacific Daydream” and my favorite song on it “Any Friend of Diane’s”. This one feels a little different from the track that Weezer has released before, it’s slow, unique and it just something about it, it’s even catch and easy to listen to.  But it seems that people are quite torn about it, either they like it or they just hate it. It’s not that 90s grunge and it looks that their sound has change and for me feels like for the better.

As for the tea, I’m choosing a simple one made from just 3 ingredients. It’s called Red Coconut and it contains: rooibos, coconut flakes or pieces and lemongrass. It’s simple, creamy and far from boring, with the “light” that the rooibos brings to the rich taste of coconut and last but not least the lemongrass that brings this blend to a perfect circle. It’s a perfect and cozy beverage that you can enjoy at any time of day.

Smile Like You Mean It

Hey guys!

Today we are going to listen to “Smile Like You Mean It” by The Killers. The re-uploaded the video they did 13 years ago and it was such a wonderful surprise and it just made me actually smile. It’s a fan favorite and anyone listening to this song can find a different meaning. For me is putting a brave face when you hit hard times and continuing life; fake it till you make it comes to mind. It’s definitely a good song to start the day with.  

And now for the tea, I’m going to choose another green tea. It’s called Elfentau and it’s a wonderful blend of: green tea, like I said before, sunflower petals, cornflowers, rose petals, mango and bergamot. It has a delightful aroma of both flowers and fruits. A Hint Of The Sea

It’s been raining here since yesterday  and because of that I think that a tea with chamomile might be the perfect beverage to drink. This one is one of my own blends as well and it’s a combination of: chamomile, ginkgo biloba, stevia, nettle leaves, rose petals, sunflower petals and lemongrass. This will stimulate your memory and brain activity, reduces stress and anxieties, and strengthens your immune system. And the name I gave this blend is Brainiac. 

Now when it comes to the song, I’m choice is going to be “A Hint Of The Sea” by Glories, an American post-rock, ambient, atmospheric band. This is an outstanding song, clear, full of sounds that create a wonderful memory. I especially like that the beginning of the song slowly starts to build up in a way that doesn’t feel rushed and it gives you time to assimilate all the good things about it. It’s the perfect combination for rainy weather.

Cross My Mind

Today I found a song that I thought it was about love and everything cute about it but after listening a few more times and reading the lyrics I realized that it’s about how imperfect love is and how easily people change, it’s about past lovers and the impact they have on one’s life. It’s called “Cross My Mind” and it’s by ARIZONA featuring Kiiara. I still like this track because it’s full of great vocals and a sound that seems to infiltrate every part of you.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something different. A green tea with green coffee beans and goji berries, acai cubes, apple, white hibiscus, beetroot. It’s an interesting blend called Green Coffee Beans and it has flavored aroma that you will not be able to forget any time soon. It’s good for your health, enhance you energy levels, improves your blood circulation, boosts your mental function, protects the liver and of course it’s perfect to strengthen your immune system. Dream State

Hey guys!

Today my going to share with you a track that might take you on a ride with a everything it’s going on with its sound. It’s from the electronic, experimental, trip-hop band Son Lux and it’s called “Dream Stare”. It’s filed with layers of synths, woodwinds, walking a fine line of never sounding too electronic or computerized but also it seems like Son Lux deconstructs music itself and patch it back together in their image. Plus this song explores growing up, precisely the understanding of mortality, brilliantly showing the relaxed state of youth.

And for the tea, I’m choosing a green one. Something that will invigorate you, give you a little energy and help your immune system.  It’s called Aloe Vera & Coconut and it’s a wonderful blend made with: green tea, spirulina, vitamin complex with Aloe Vera, coconut, mallow flowers.  It has a wonderful taste, refreshing and light perfect for almost any hour of the day.

Today I am drinking an herbal tea, again from Teavana called Wild Orange Blossom. It’s invigorating and it has a graceful floral hint, it’s full of orange aroma but no so that it will not overpower the blend. It’s a beverage that will warm you to the bone, perfect for cold days, or when you just wanna enjoy life a little more. This tisane has a perfect combination of the following ingredients:  apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, rose hip peels, beetroot pieces, apple slices, orange slices, orange peels, orange juice pieces, orange petals, rose petals.

As for the song, I’m going to share with you an electronic, house, chillout track from R3hab & Khrebto. It’s called “You Could Be” and it’s a sweet and easy tune, with a rhythmic and delightful dynamic and it’s about love, or wanting someone/ a certain someone to be everything. It starts with a filing drum beat that its paired with dazzling piano notes and hypnotic vocals. I especially like the pre-chorus and of course the chorus with: “If you let me show you everything/ I can be your everything/ Will you be my everything?”. These are my choices for today, now…

Dancing In the Daylight

Today we are listening to a feel good track coming from the indie band Scouting For Girls. The song is called “Dancing In the Daylight”, is characteristic of the band’s usual sound, full with catchy, repetitive lyrics. It’s not particularly memorable or something that stands out so much but it’s a nice addition whenever it pops on your playlist. It’s an upbeat and feel-good track, perfect for hopeful and sunny days.

And for the tea, I’m going to choose Ruby Spice Cider from Teavana.  It’s a combination of: cinnamon, apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, carob pieces, rooibos, ginger, grapes, chicory root, plum pieces, elderberries, orange peels and pomegranate. It’s a great blend, one that celebrates the seasons with festive colors and an awesome taste. That’s it for today, now…

Strange

Hey guys!

I know it’s been a while but I’m back now and starting out usual routine with “Strange” from LP. This song has been released a few months ago but only now I see the power and the beauty with in. And let’s not forget about her incredible voice, and the influence it has over the way you relate to the melody. I especially like the way the piano and harmonica fit right in and create something stunning.

As for the tea, I’m drinking an energetic and yet full of aromas and a taste I’m in love with. It’s called Celebration Time and it’s a combination of: black tea, green tea, jasmine, rose petals and sunflower petals. It is an infusion that you will appreciate for both the strong and fragrant taste and the revitalization it produces. It’s definitely one of my favorites especially when you add a little milk and honey.

Hot Damn

Today’s track is something that I’ve known for some time but only recently started to like it. I’m talking about “Hot Damn” by Ivy Levan. It’s a pop, seductive, old soul song with a great beat and a vintage sound. The vocals are amazing, her range incredible and there is a lot of swagger in her voice. It’s edgy and mature at the same time, which is difficult to achieve; it’s great to listen to and you should give it a try.

As for the tea, I’m choosing something from Teavana. Something like Pumpkin Spice Brûlée Oolong Tea which is a combination of: cinnamon, white chocolate pieces, pumpkin pieces, chocolate, carob pieces, oolong tea, ginger, chicory root, pumpkin seeds, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, coconut blossom sugar. It’s sweet, has a pumpkin aroma that fits right in with the season, full of spices and it will replenish your stamina. That’s it for today.

Do It

So today’s track is an indie, pop, electronic one from Rae Morris, an English singer-songwriter. It’s called “Do It” and it’s about being brave and take a risk choosing a more exciting path. It’s energetic, infectious, especially those beats, and it’s really fun to listen. Her vocals are right on the point and make this tune a lot cuter and you can just feel her cheerful energy.  And my favorite part is: “You call me by my real name, I will keep you entertained”, I don’t know why but it seems to insinuate a lot more thru this perfect lyrics.

Now for the tea, I’m choosing Thin Mintea, which is a black tea with: black tea, cacao nibs, cinnamon, cacao powder, cardamom, marshmallow root, peppermint and stevia leaf. It’s a free calorie blend; energizing and the perfect pick me up.  It’s a great iced tea, if you are feeling cold and by adding a little milk the taste is even better. You can also try adding coconut flake, if you like that sort of thing.

Take Away

Today I’m craving chocolate and some post-rock so here are my choices right from the start. First of all, the tea is called Cacao / Hazelnut Nougat and it’s a combination of: rooibos, honey bush, chocolate flakes, cocoa powder, cocoa butter, caramel pieces, dark chocolate flakes, chopped almonds, and chia seeds, plus vanilla but only for those of you that like that. It’s sweet and full of flavors, it will give you a boost in energy and it’s something you can enjoy at any hour. Plus there is chocolate in this tea so it will make your experience even better.

As for the song, it comes from a Jersey band called Vasudeva. They are a fantastic band, I haven’t heard much from them but the songs I know I really love cause it’s got a certain something. Right now I’m listening to “Take Away”, it’s from their album that came out this year. It’s not just post-rock it’s math rock and ambient and I doesn’t feel so overwhelming, but it does take you away on a beautiful journey with beautiful, dynamic soundscape. Hope you enjoy at least half as much as i enjoy these choices and now …

So today I’m going to choose something that make me feel relaxed and gives me a good feeling. Because of that the tea of the day is … A Cozy Cup. It’s a blend of:  rooibos, chamomile, peppermint and spearmint. I like adding a little lemongrass to this combination; and for some of you, you might like to try it with a little vanilla. It’s delicious, design to calm and relax you. It will definitely feel like a warm embrace, and having someone to share with might make this tea taste even better.

Now for the song we have Kygo’s new single featuring Sasha Sloan, a sweet and calm ballade full of good vocals and euphoric beats. It’s called “This Town” and it seems to be about wanting to have some adventures with the one you love, an open road, an ocean view. It’s a show and heartwarming tune that fits perfect with a cup of tea in your hand, the one you love next to you and some perfect moments. That’s it, now…

Television Romance

Last work day of this week and I’m thinking that an indie track, sugary and sweet might be the perfect choice. It’s called “Television Romance” by the British band Pale Waves and it’s about being chased by someone you don’t really care of have feelings for, a television romance. It’s quite infections with those guitar riffs and it’s a fun track to listen to, it might make you wanna dance a little, but just a little :D

As for the tea, I’m choosing a fruity and sugary one so that it will be the perfect pairing for today’s melody. It’s a perfect blend of: cranberries, cinnamon, apples, rose hips, cloves, lemon peel, orange peel, calendula flowers and it’s goes by the name Autumn Fruit & Flowers. It’s spice, sweet and it will create a festival of aromas with just a sip.

Dusk Till Dawn

Today we are feeling a little emotional and in remembering of my first song and tea posted I’m going to share with you Zayn new single featuring Sia “Dusk Till Dawn”, and it’s one of the most perfect love songs, and combination of voices. It’s about two lovers trying to do everything and willing to do everything to be together with incredible instrumental and dramatic choruses that make you feel the passion between these artists. I especially like the part when Sia is firs introduce, she doesn’t steal the show, just highlight what’s great about this song.

And for the tea, I’m going to choose a lavender tea, I feel like that feels perfectly with this tune. Something like a Sweet Lavender which is a combination of: ginger, orange peel, all-spice, lavender, licorice root, lemon balm, red rosebuds and petals and a tiny pinch of stevia leaf. Lightly sweeten and fresh from the gardens, it’s a relaxing, refreshing beverage with a just a little pinch from the spices, it’s perfect on any occasions and it will leave you wanting more. Heavenward

Hey guys!

I woke up this morning with a craving for something refreshing and not to energetic, so a thought that a Butterscotch tea might be the perfect choice. It’s an amazing blend of: white tea, cinnamon, pink peppercorns & marigold flowers. Very delicate, a bit on the peppery side, not very sweet, just rich notes of butterscotch, just a guilt-free drink for those in need, like me :D. And after just one sip you will definitely want some more.

Now… for our second part, I’m going with an indie, alternative, rock band from the UK, called Wolf Alice and their new single “Heavenward”. This tune fits perfect in the shoegazeing genera is echoey, ghostly and gorgeous.  It’s a dreamy, melodic track, full of inharmonious, but pleasing guitars, which take you on a mysterious journey, especially with her divine voice.

Hello!

Today we are going to listen to a tiny bit of pop coming from Nick Jonas new single “Find You”. It’s an easy and smooth, just a relaxed release from this artist, it full of that infectious beat and entrancing guitar riffs, plus his vocals that brings this tune to a perfect circle. Its about trying to understand the person you are with, but you can’t, overall just trying to figure that person out. It’s one of those songs that fit perfect on a slow day or on al log drive.

As for the tea, I’m choosing a herbal one, a tisane, with lots of benefits for your health, but mostly because of it’s heavenly taste. It’s called Typ Ayran Mint, and it’s a blend made from: apple pieces, orange peel, mint, lemongrass, rose hip peel, wild strawberry leaves, blackberry leaves, basil, lime oil. Black Holes (Solid Ground)

Hey guys!

Today we are going to listen to The Blue Stones single “Black Holes (Solid Ground)”. It’s a track that embodies the old dirty rock sound with drums kicking, guitar riffs and those screams coming from an enthusiastic singer. It’s a track that just seems to fluctuate from smooth and clean to heavy and overdriven sound that makes the experience of the song even better. I especially like how the chorus starts: “Sing your hearts out sing it loud/ Make me happy make me proud”, it’s the part where I just start to shout.

Now for the tea, how about something that will give you a lot of energy to do whatever you need to do to get thru the day. I know I’ve written about this tea before but it deserves more the one mention; it’s called Endurance and it’s a combination of: black tea, cinnamon, eleuthro root, goji berries, schisandra berries, nettle leaf, oat-straw & ashwaganda. With a taste to die for and the splash of energy that it will give you, I’m sure it will turn out to be an old time favorite.

The Last Of The Real Ones

Today I woke up in a great mood and with a craving for chai tea, one of my own blends of course. It’s simple, sweet and it will fill you with a lot of energy to get thru the day so you can start your weekend.  It contains: black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cacao powder, chocolate bits, pink peppercorns, orange peel and cloves. I call it Chai For You because this blend was made for someone special :D

And now the song … I just heard the new single from Fall Out Boy and I’ve got to say I really like it. I’m talking about “The Last Of The Real Ones” and it’s about loving someone because of all their imperfections and not in spite of them, and that to me is real love. It’s energetic, keeps your body moving, it has a great beat to it and the lyrics are extremely sweet.  I especially like this ones “You are the sun and I am just the planets/ Spinning around you” and “I will shield you from the waves/ If they find you/ I will protect you”. Aren’t they lovely? I think so, now….
